When 4for4 and me got into it over Sirianni when he became the coach he became an ahole to me and put a confused face on my posts. He even ignored me at one point. I realized though that I was just as much at fault. We disagreed, and I just never stopped. I kept posting and pointing out my views directed at him. I recognized that, addressed the problem with him, and we haven’t had an issue since.

Yes, he can be an ahole with an ego but I’ve read multiple different interactions with him and other posters. It’s almost never one sided for the same reasons.

Maybe at some point, someone in charge will listen to the people who they built and moderate this for.

This system of moderation worked on the old board with a TON of members, and a bunch more mods. It doesnt work on a fan funded board with few members, and 1 all powerful mod. 

A community this small should be cannibalizing itself. Especially not with the help of the mods. A functional moderation system would prevent that. Not accelerate the process.

Ya know I'd bet this community would grow and be a lot bigger if there weren't aholes that drive people out of it. The dude berated people for no reason. He got what he deserved. Continue your protest though.

From what I recall 4for4 was arguing with another poster. JR decided to get in the middle of the argument and poked the bear. Then JR quit.

Lane may actually be pretty close. He’s already regarded as the best player in the world at his position. I think a third 1st team all pro next year or 2024 would make him a HoFer.

We’ll have to see what Fletcher does after this year, but his resumé is pretty good as far as DT’s are concerned. Was All-Pro at one point, many time pro bowler, 2 time Super Bowl champion. If he can add a pro bowl or two later in his career then he’s probably in.

Brandon is tough. Though his career doesn’t match up great beyond tenure and rings, he does have that feel of a player who ends up getting in like 30 years later when this era becomes a time of Eagles lore.

The funny part is that the 4for4/DUM "gang” has moved on and everyone else keeps attacking and crying wolf. Fing drop it. Everyone. Move along. There is a Super Bowl tomorrow.

No. JR quit because he was not happy what with what he was becoming. To push back against the constant abuse, he tried to be abusive back and that was not his nature.

A mod explained the other day a lot of it is based on how the board feels about these posts, the mods aren’t combing the boards looking to ban people… they see the posts when they’re report spammed. 4x4 got flagged constantly, how often did you report Utebird?

One of the RTK side randomly attacked Ferris because of his current screen name. Thats pretty much on par with needlessly attacking JR.

Both sides have done the same stuff. One side caught a lot more trouble for it. The side that caught more trouble is the side that never race baited, nor made comments about dead family members. One side actually went further, and truly crossed some lines that shouldnt be crossed. Theyre all still here though. 

Broken moderation system.

Never. I’ve only ever reported one post, which outright accused me of being a racist. I was told by the mod that this was OK. The system is broken

I was a target of 4x4 because he was harassing a poster and I called him out, I had previously interacted with him over the years many times mostly about food, he pMed me some recipes once but once that dude was locked in on a poster he felt slighted by him and his minions were relentless.

4x4 actually reminds me a lot of my brother 

My brother has a heart of gold but when he's an a hole he's all in and the biggest one 

4x4 made it a goal to be the biggest a hole and any crap that got flung back on him he brought on himself.

There is no my side.  I don't run some group of posters aggressively jumping on people together. I'm not angry at you or having anything against you.  Also I think you were all legitimate Carson Strong fanboys.  The posters on this site that I can't stand I just put on ignore and don't interact with them.  Problem is that they can't handle the fact that I have them on ignore like they can't handle much of anyone that doesn't fall in line with their singular line of opinions.  That's not my fault.  That isn't other posters fault either that find themselves in the target sights of that little mob.  

 

I use ignore to try to avoid getting into the continual vicious back and forth with users that I know that is all I would ever be getting into with by interacting with them because I know many here are just itching at the opportunity to report me.  I might still get heated in an argument with any given poster here but that's just me getting into it over my strongly held football opinions.  But I am not the same as a coordinated group that actively tries to go after people together.   They make no effort to try to avoid it by using ignore.  They actively seek to try to impose their viewpoints as a group.

Right. The mods have stated a few times now repercussions are largely based on reporting. They don’t see most posts, so it’s up to the board to decide what to bring to their attention, which was 4x4, constantly. The board itself decided he needed to go.

For your instance, do you think it’s wrong to call out racism?

Well, I’m not gonna conflate all of this, but I know where it started.

They were literally on a crusade to get rid of the "Pillars”.

I remember vividly, during one of their last berating sessions with JR, DUM made the comment that they were going to tear down the blog and build it back their way.

It told me all I needed to know about them and their intentions.

These are 50 year old men acting out on a message board. They were the problem, and I’m glad their gone.
