I will take that as a win.

How long do you think it takes before we out his new account when he tries ??

I'd bet he already has an account he's been farming.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

He’ll be easy to spot. Just disagree with him on something, and sit back and watch him start throwing out passive aggressive, strawman responses. Then go, "Yup, that’s him”.

Lame to ban him for that but it's not like he was well liked by most of you. Although it's stupid as hell that you all engaged with him instead of putting him on ignore if you disliked him so much

Which makes you wonder...what the hell was Philadelphia thinking giving Carson Wentz that contract?

Not the first Howie gave a contract based on potential

I posted this in the Hurts thread, but thought the Blog might enjoy the numbers too:

Joe Burrow:

2021 - 520 pass attempts, 51 sacks and another 48 hits (I’m assuming they are counting hits and sacks separately based on these numbers), 40 rushes 139 total hits taken/560 plays, 25% hit rate

2022 - 606 pass attempts, 41 sacks, 50 hits, 75 rushes, 166 hits taken/681 plays, 24% hit rate

Lamar:

2021 - 382 attempts, 38 sacks, 29 hits, 133 rushes, 200 hits/515 plays, 39% hit rate

2022 - 326 attempts, 26 sacks, 15 hits, 112 rushes, 153 hits/438 plays, 35% hit rate

Allen:

2021 - 646 attempts, 26 sacks, 64 hits, 122 rushes, 212 hits/768 plays; 28% of plays

2022 - 567 attempts, 33 sacks, 42 hits, 124 rushes, 199 hits/691 plays, 29% hit rate

Hurts:

2021 - 432 attempts, 26 sacks, 32 hits, 139 rushes, 197 hits/571 plays, 34.5% hit rate

2022 - 460 attempts, 38 sacks, 22 hits, 165 rushes, 205 hits/625 plays, 33% hit rate

Brady (for fun):

2021 - 719 attempts, 22 sacks, 31 hits, 28 rushes, 81/747 plays, 11% hit rate (lol)

2022 - 733 attempts, 22 sacks, 55 hits, 29 rushes, 106 hits/762 plays, 14% hit rate

Mahomes:

2021 - 658 attempts, 28 sacks, 58 hits, 66 rushes, 152 hits/724 plays, 21% hit rate

2022 - 648 attempts, 26 sacks, 56 hits, 61 rushes, 143 hits/709 plays, 20% hit rate

Murray:

2021 - 481 attempts, 31 sacks, 13 hits, 88 rushes, 132 hits/569 plays, 23% hit rate

2022 - 390 attempts, 25 sacks, 15 hits, 67 rushes, 107 hits/457 plays, 23% hit rate

Summary:

I didn’t know what the numbers would say going into this exercise. Murray surprised the most, his avoidance of "hits” is pretty remarkable.

Interesting that Allen and Burrow aren’t so far apart. I think anything north of 25% is too much for my liking honestly, and would like to see Hurts get that number lower than at least 30% next year. Otherwise, he’s going to be on the same path as Lamar, which isn’t a good one.

Obviously this doesn’t account for kneel downs or getting OOB, but the variable is the same for all QBs.

And of course, Brady’s numbers are ridiculous.

How is a comment like that ban worthy?

The ref called it due to the accumulation of hits.

It was other comments leading up to it. Such as swastikas and being a tool

I’m pretty sure it was about his plan to make Mike use a swastika as his avatar to try to get him banned. Then was belligerent about it then saying Mike reneged on the bet cause he wouldn’t use it. Then he said what he did.

As an addendum to my post above, Fields hit percentage is an absurd 51%.

I understand the argument about the 7 seed,  I like the week 17 deal but also understand the argument.

My point was NBA is extremely predictable. the NFL is not. Even mid season to the end of the season the NFL isnt that predictable. thats all

Fair point -  the NBA has a lot of problems; which is why I dislike NFL moves that I perceive moving the sport in that direction.  In any case, the toothpaste is out of the tube and I know the NFL will keep on squeezing.

On a positive note - the expanded PS rosters and PS elevations is probably the best thing the NFL has done since the salary cap.

I'm curious how they got the stats. Watching the Bills this season you can see Allen takes way too many hits

Totally out of nowhere but you know what really grinds my gears?

When teams are punting from mid-field and the play clock is ticking down and call time out instead of simply taking the delay of game.  Odds are those 5 yards will not matter in the least when punting from that part of the field.  Happens way to often and think it's one of the dumbest thing in football.

I took stats from pro football reference. Under advanced passing, there’s a tab "pressure”

He has 107 more passing attempts than Hurts, but was only sacked/hit in the pocket 15 more times, while having 41 less rushing attempts.

Teams take delay of games penalties on punts all the time.  Depends on the situation.

Big hits, something @TorontoEagle is an expert in.
