4for4 has been just as snarky to me as he has to anyone else over the years. We have been cordial, and we have been enemies. He flips that switch seemingly at random. Hurts has been lauded (and rightfully so) as a great runner and great at protecting the ball.

Jones, though having 45 less rush attempts, had only 52 less yards. Jones had a higher YPC, 5.9 to Hurts 4.6. Hurts had nearly double the TDs. 
 

Passing wise, yes Hurts had 500 more yards in 1 less game. Jones had one less INT in 12 more attempts than Hurts. Jones had 7 less passing TDs.

 

Hurts obviously had better numbers. But Jones really isn’t that far off. Mahomes played 2 more games than Hurts but had 1500 more passing yards. That’s far off.

One group can’t let go about Hurts. Anytime he’s brought up, you and your band take it as a personal attack on the guy. Even today, not once have I made a disparaging remark about him, but you and mike are taking it as though I said Hurts sucks. It’s baffling

The issue is, you confuse criticism and attacking.  No player on the Eagles is perfect, and none are above criticism, including Jalen Hurts.

No one has criticized him recently, and the most reason discussion in the Hurts thread was about him protecting himself so he does not go down the Lamar and Newton path.

This is from the folks you call haters, we want him to protect himself and be available to play 17+ games per year.

Now do yards, TDs, QBR, Pass Rating.

 

No reasonable discussion can be had when a group like that takes every Hurts discussion in the same direction. Demanding people who doubted him apologize constantly for it.

Look at @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! initial response to my comparison, he dove into the yards per completion and rightfully pointed out jones was much lower thus he makes safer throws. And he’s absolutely right, it was a great point.

Hurts is better, and its not close.

The Giants offense by Dvoa was ranked 10th by the end of the year. Which, considering  where Daniel Jones was last year and the amount of weapons they have is pretty impressive. Their defense wasn’t good. but they’ve had a bunch of injuries this year and guys are back now. That first Eagles/Giants game McKinney was out, Adoree Jackson was out, and Leonard Williams was out. I tend to believe this game is gonna be much closer than that first one. I still think the Eagles are gonna win it but I think it’s closer than we think. I’m guessing it’s probably gonna be a 3 to 7 point win by the eagles.

Jones leads in interception percentage and yards per carry.

 

Back to the original point, Jones is not Hurts, but he has not been garbage this year, and does not have near the skill guys Hurts does.

I actually think we win by 10 or so. I just think we’ll get a bit of a lead and force the giants into plays they don’t want to have to make. They just don’t have the horses to keep up with us
