Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Was thinking about joining Twitter just to follow the Iron Sheik.

I think it’s more that even at a neutral site and on short notice the tickets are getting quickly snatched up. I have no doubt that neutral sites would be a money maker because it would be similar to a Super Bowl type experience, albeit on a smaller scale.

I just hate it from a perspective of making the regular season mean something. I don’t think a single bye week and home game is enough for the No. 1 seed. The environment would be far more sanitized too.

I still don’t see how even half the owners would agree to it. It’s a major money maker for them individually if they get to host.

That’s quite the dilemma for them. It’s hard to trust Brock Purdy in two big games like that but do you really switch for a rusty mediocre Jimmy G coming off an extended injury?

I would find it hard to believe that a neutral site championship game wouldn’t  make significantly more money than having the 1 seed host, and it’s guaranteed money each each, rather than two teams getting a smaller pot.

A video popped up on my Youtube recommendations for the 81 Niners Cowboys NFC Championship Game. So I went over to pro football reference to browse the 1981 season and that playoffs had a familiar.

Cowboys vs Bucs

Eagles vs Giants

Bills vs Bengals

Cowboys vs Niners

Pretty weird.

Easy decision IMO. Have to ride with Purdy.

@LeanMeanGM

NYG 30

Hurts turns the ball over 3 times and there's one other turnover too

Only 18 coaches in all of nfl history have double digit playoff wins.

Doug Pederson already has 5 in 6 seasons

I’d assume the money flow would stay the same. Hosting team gets 60% and the rest goes into the revenue sharing pool.

And there would also be teams that never get to host. Super Bowl isn’t an open bid, it’s the NFL that chooses specific stadiums and negotiates with them. If they aren’t ever going to host a SB in Green Bay I don’t see why they would consider it for the second most important game.

I’d think you have to but maybe have him on a short leash.

Called it as soon as it was announced. NFL just got 2 mini Superbowl for cities to bid on.

But teams aren’t guaranteed to host so this extra revenue would be very attractive to a majority of teams.

There will be a lot of money to be made from this if they go this route. It would basically be like like the college football semifinals.

@olsilverhair @Godfather and @hputenis always want me to join their Soup kitchens

So good. Dirty Mike and the Boys was based on @mikemack8 and his posse back in the day.

We’ll see. I still don’t see it happening. The idea has been around forever and never had traction. This little test run could peak some interest but I think it would have a hard time getting 24 votes.

I hope it doesn’t gain traction. I hate the idea.

How is more money being made from this?

I can't believe I'm saying this based on how I felt a year ago, but what I feel most confident about this game is Hurts. I think the dude is a gamer and he's going to have a massive chip on his shoulder after being doubted the last few weeks.

Was he doubted the last few weeks? I feel like the Eagles in general were more doubted when he was out.

Well no one's talking about him for MVP anymore. And the Niners have moved ahead of the Eagles as NFC favorites.

This is small stuff, but players use this stuff as motivation. I think Jalen is an extremely driven athlete.

He's changed a bunch of minds this year.

I was "Give him a Chance", wait and see.

I did. I've seen. I'm on board. Roll, guy.
