Where is the info coming from that the pouting was due to him not getting the ball?  I haven't read anything that gave a reason and in one place (think it was D. Gunn) the speculation was that he had tweaked his ankle or a hammy.

In any case, yes, time will tell but this 90 seconds on its own isn't an issue.

Same question as for IPhan - Where are you reading that he was upset due to not getting the ball?

I have the same thought. I remember watching Brown getting up slowly at one point in the second half, at which point the guy sitting next to me said that it looked like he had hurt his quad. We watched him head slowly to the sideline, seemingly frustrated. And we were worried he might actually be injured. He subsequently returned to the game, much to our delight, only to miss a deep touchdown catch by a yard or two. He’s later shown on television looking annoyed. Logically, I would assume he’s annoyed that he got dinged once again — he’s apparently been bothered a bit for a while now so frustration like that would be understandable  — and that annoyance was also that he missed making a touchdown catch because he was slowed a bit.

Yet everyone seems to think he’s pouting on the sidelines because he’s only caught a few passes in a blowout playoff victory.

Maybe I’m naive and tend to see things as all sunshine and roses, but I think this whole thing is really much ado about nothing.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Lol classic, the TO sound byte overlaid with the slo-mo head pat.   This is peak Eagles fan ish right here

It's part of the DNA of Eagle fans who suffered so long. LOL

I am allowed to be concerened, you may overlook his being upset, Siri having to deal with it, Reporters asking about it and Brown's answer as being not a concern.

We will agree to disagree.

I just hope it's the only time we see it from him.

I mean "calm down" as in "stop worrying".

I did not say why he was pouting, and said Monday it was probably the hammy situation.

Regardless, he was pouting and it was shown on national TV.

I went back and erased my previous post because apparently the clip wasn’t real.   So if that’s the clip you’re referencing, I wouldn’t use it as an example.

Lane, and it's a pretty easy answer

Agreed- even playing with a torn abductor, Lane is pretty damned good.

Bold prediction for the game:

Realizing what a playmaker he is, Howie trades for JaMycal Hasty this week and he goes off for 300 total offensive yards and 6 TDs.

Gotcha  My bad brother.

Wait.  So you think him complaining about not enough targets isn’t selfish?

No. Top-self WRs want the ball.

Selfish WR play = not blocking and not running full speed on routes for targets to other players. Brown was running full speed on plays where Devonta/Goedert were getting the ball.

me thinks you are downplaying it just a bit.

He was clearly upset, and SIri had to console him.

Upset isn't pouting.

Apparently that clip isn’t even real.  It’s apparently overdubbed.

Show me that.  He didn't say it in the article that was linked.

Quote

"Of course he’s always going to want the ball. He’s a really good player,” Sirianni said. "Not really anybody had a lot of targets or a lot of opportunities because we were running the ball so well. But that’s what you want from your receivers, to want to have the football. Part of the reason why receivers are good is because they want and crave the football to change the game.

"But make no mistake about it, he was thrilled that we won the football game, always wants to be involved in the plan, he blocked his butt off. You can see how excited he was when he sprang that block for DeVonta’s touchdown. But, you know, he was obviously really excited and celebrated in the locker room with us after the win.”

How the f' can an Eagles' fan calm down?  It's not natural.

Yes, there have been several pointers (Doug, DGunn, someone else) that pointed at the injury.

Who knows?  Maybe he was upset at not getting the ball.  I just don't see any solid evidence that the pouting was connected to a lack of targets.  We'll find out in due time if he turns into another TO.  In any case, no reason to spoil the current situation with speculation.

Yea, I don't think anyone is saying this is some massive problem or anything. It's just not a good look in the situation. And if it's a showing now, how's it going to be in the future when there is more adversity assuming the team isn't as strong as it is now.

Theres also the bigger picture where TO was more of a hired gun ("I love me some me") wheras AJ seems more like one of the boys.

Hes on tape talking about how he loves Philly and loves the team, and theres a bunch of footage of him clowning around with his teammates on and off the field and they seem to genuinely enjoy each others company.

Just a totally different vibe for me.

And put yourself in his shoes.  Big time game, you have your man beat by a couple steps, have a huge play right at your fingertips, and for whatever reason it falls incomplete (either muscle strain or slight overthrow)....its only human to be disappointed in the immediate aftermath of that.   Hes human, it was a human reaction and hes only focused on what he controls, not how well Kern is punting that week or whether the D is containing Daniel Jones.

Did you watch the game, it was shown on live TV, and the announcers talked about it.

Siriani was over talking to him as the announcers talked about it.

Everyone saw it, @Outlaw @4for4EaglesNest @LeanMeanGM @TorontoEagle

Here is the clip, listen to the announcers.

Plenty of other things to be concerned with like the 49ers D.

We're winning the next six championships. We have MJ.

I mean, he's literally compared it to the T.O. situation.

Reading far too much into it. He is allowed to have emotions a show frustration. Its almost impossible to be elite at something without that level of emotional investment

Things are going good if the biggest complaint out of a playoff game is a guy on a bench had questionable facial expressions.

Laughable comparison

I’ll say this to any genuine Eagles’ fan that wants this team to win and win for a long time.

The reason we failed to win a Super Bowl (or multiple Super Bowls) under Reid/McNabb is because we sent T.O. packing.

Don’t make the same mistake twice.  The vast majority of the top WR’s in the game want the ball.  That’s nothing new.  And if ever so often they express frustration and I mean this whole heartedly:

DEAL WITH IT.

Any WR on a team whose RBs are getting 6 yards a pop is highly unlikely to get the number of targets they’d prefer.
