You can blame @HazletonEagle for my return. His threat about the Masters was too much to bear.

Also my thanks to @mattwill and @BigEFly

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I thought that just might work!

And it's the co-ordination of the hits too.  They are happy psychopaths.

I’ve been working on the wording of an interesting stat about nfl parity, he’s what I got so far:

In the last 6 seasons, 7 of the 12 NFCCG participants have been just 3 teams: SF, Philadelphia, LAR. Those 3 teams have represented the NFC in the SB 5 of 6 years. The other? Tom Brady.

7 of the 12 AFCCG participants have been just 2 teams: KC, Cincy. All 6 AFC SB participants have been from either one of those 2 teams, or Tom Brady.

That means just 5 of the 32 teams (and Tom Brady) have been 17 of the 24 conference championship participants, and all 12 SB participants. That is absolutely nuts.

I still say barring Carter falling to 10 or Wilson or Anderson falling(and even Wilson I’m not 100% sold on as an elite pass rusher), CB is the most sensible pick. I think it has just become too obvious. I get the aspect of not wanting to draft someone right away who will barely play, but let’s be real, outside of DT, there aren’t many guys to take at 10 who would play right away. Edge rusher would be a backup getting limited snaps. OL is no guarantee to start and if they did it would be at RG.

The only guys who would start right away are ironically positions the Eagles are already "fine” at: WR and RB. And WR would be slot so still not as many snaps as top 2 wideouts. And RB would be part of a rotation.

The Eagles are one CB injury away from being in serious trouble, have lacked depth there for years and in a year or two both starting cbs could be gone. I still think it’s the position that makes the most sense and it wouldn’t be a reach either.

I'm 100% on board with Witherspoon or Gonzalez at 10, with Witherspoon being my preference. Kid has that Philly attitude. Would be a fan favorite here for a decade.

Super smart but kind of a holes.

If Davis ends up not being able to improve his pass rush then DT will be a need unless they plan to just keep rotating him in and out

Davis will always be that physical force and win on a pass rush; we need to see nuance, but that depends if that is what they really want from him.  If they see him as a Vita Vea who allows the rest of the D to be based off of him, then we won't likely get more than what we have as it's not needed

Alright. I’ve wanted to ask you about your take on Paris johnson Jr and see if it matched up with how i viewed him

I have to say that there is not a single OL I would choose in the first round. Skoronski is no tackle. Any rusher with longer arms, which is most of them, will chew him up. We have a player who is almost identical in Driscoll, who also has experience and is at least serviceable at tackle. Skoronski will be a guard and unless you're Martin or Nelson, you're not worth a high pick. Paris Johnson does nothing for me either. He's not particularly strong or quick and, horror of horrors! He's a waist bender. He's a project and therefore not a first rounder.

A guy I like a lot is O'Cyrus Torrence. He's a technical mess but he's terrific raw material. Big, strong, and mean.

What's wrong with him? Worst thing, he doesn't slide in pass protection. He turns and when you turn the rusher can blow right by you. He definitely lunges, and gets over his skis. When he sets his legs are too wide, which is why he can't slide. When you slide the first foot to move is the one in the direction of the slide. However, if you're halfway to doing a split the first foot to move will be the back foot and by then you're already too late. I don't know if he has a kick-step. For sure I've never seen it. I hope that makes sense. He too is a project but we have the coach to fix him. I could see us using our third round pick on him. Give him one year with Stoutland and he can take over at RG when Jurgens moves to C. Give him two years and he can take over at RT when Lane retires.

I’d be up for Broderick if he’s there at 30. MMMAAAAAAYYYYBBBBEEEEE Dawand.

Vorhees is an interesting kid to take late coming off his injury. He’s basically redshirting his rookie year but i saw him as a 3rd round type prospect prior

DJ Turner is 41 on Dane's big board. Turner has been in the 2nd round convo for a while.

I do think putting him that high is a stretch, but Simms gonna Simms.

Ah, the Jones boys. Broderick is certainly a talent, and athletic. Needs strong coaching for sure, which he would get here. Dawand? Good Lord, NO. He's the Primo Carnera of O linemen.

Someone posted this about Simms rankings the past few years for CB's

What choice do the Colts have?  They've screwed up so royally at the position since Luck retired they have to draft a "QB of the future" to appease the fan base.

I'd rather draft Levis at #4 even though he might be an entitled _____, than draft Richardson at #4 just because he can run fast and jump high.  Can't hit the broad side of a barn with a pass or read a defense, but he can run and jump.

I don't like either of them as a QB prospect, but you have to figure the Colts will grab one.
