Cause Morey could’ve been saying that behind the scenes and Joshua Harris was like I’m not paying the tax. So figure a way if you wanna keep him to trade other guys to stay below the tax. Even if they kept McCain, they needed to add and not just keep McCain. To me it was clearly obvious that Harris wanted to get below the tax as soon as Paul George got suspended.

Trading McCain was stupid to begin with as grimes has been bleh all year and McCain could’ve stepped into his role in 2026-27
