Browsing a Lions message board and they have multiple threads about Jalen Carter. Wonder how many other team message boards are talking about passing on Carter.

Lions picked a little later but I’m assuming they’re upset they didn’t trade up considering how little we gave up (or did they have a top 10 pick and trade back?)

The Eagles/WAS line was -7 yesterday.

Now -9.

He probably banged it standing up (like when someone puts a knee into your thigh), but maybe just as he fell.  Like 300 lbs just tumbling onto the defender.

Eagles hacked last year's draft 🤣

Including the Swift trade in all that.

They traded down, passing on Carter so they could take a running back.

Idk the commanders always give the eagles a good game. I feel like that game will be closer and feels like mclaurin plays well against us.

He left at least 3 sacks on the table. Once he learns how to finish plays - fuhgeddaboudit

Similar to the Boston Scott against the Giants joke, it feels like Sirianni is just leaning into the QB Sneak meme and what it’s become. The only thing I dislike about it is that it looks like it beats the piss out of the offensive line. Outside of goalline and 4th down, I wouldn’t mind changing it up.

I’m still waiting for the flip toss fake. Looked like they tried to switch it up with a pass where Hurts tripped.

Watching them pick each other up after those plays tells the tale. It must be taxing on them.

More RPOs on short yardage would also be a welcome sight.  Hurts'ability to run it virtually creates a man advantage every time for the offense.  Clearly, he knows how to make the reads.

It’s like the beach scene in Saving Private Ryan. Bodies just laid out.

More a matter of them getting REALLY low?

I think they dig it.  Kelce, on the podcast (heard an excerpt), made it sound like they do.

Link?

Amongst coaches who have coached at least 24 games in the nfl, Nick Sirianni moves up to 7th alltime in regular season winning percentage

This Toy Story NFL stuff is retarded.

Sorry not sorry.

Oh right. Them trading down to get a running back is why we got Carter AND Swift.

Thanks Lions!!!

The cool thing about the win tonight is that we can play better. A LOT better. And yet we still outgained the Bucs by about 300 yards.

You could tell from his stance (his right leg was far back, ready to retreat) that Hurts was not going to sneak the ball on that last short yardage attempt. It's a shame he tripped because it would have been nice to see what they had planned.

Happy to see Covey have a big night. I've been a fan of his the entire time.

We can play better.

Did you lose a bet?

LOL

No, It's a summertime delight that I love to make myself.  The game started at 4:15 out here on the Left Coast, and i could listen to Merell and Mike on Sirius XM through my hearing aids while assembled the pie.  Here is the recipe.

This is a perfect situation to break Penny into the offense. They need a rotation.  They want a rotation.  They won’t get a safer space than this to work on it.

That was my thinking as well.

I was close...

Post-game Wrap-up  The very last prediction received with a score of Eagles 27 Bucs 10 proved to be the closest one.  Congratulations to @Cliftoma
The correct Bonus predictions were
@WentzFan11 with "Swift over 100 rushing yards"
@Know Life with "O-line doesn't allow a sack" (I don't believe David's sack was charged against the O-Line, but I could be wrong)
@BigEFly with "OZ with a TD"
@LeanMeanGM with "Rachaad White has less than 2.8 YPC"
@Westbrook#36 with "Eagles get a safety"
@Iggles_Phan with "Eagles D forces 3 turnovers"

@Texas Eagle gets an honorable mention with his "Carter + Davis combine for 3 sacks and a FF"
@hputenis gets an honorable mention with "Jalen Carter with a sack"

The final Predictions list was as follows

I felt the same way.  One of the real highlights for me was the TD pass to OZ.  It was a highlight on two different levels. (1) Hurts did not cut and run when he felt the Bucs pressuring.  He kept his eyes downfield going through his progressions until he saw an opportunity, and (2) he threw OZ open (as the saying goes) throwing to a spot where only OZ could get to, which was half way across the field from where OZ was when Hurts threw the ball.  Bottom-line, he trusted OZ to get there.

Agreed. I thought a lot of Hurts passes last night were hitting the guy in the chest rather than leading him. I don’t know if that was designed for the WRs to cut back and so limiting YAC but that’s how it felt just watching it live. But that throw ended up being a really nice throw.

Guess no one will be in here this week whining about how we suck and how the Cowboys will destroy us. Settle down and let the long NFL season develop bit by bit. We are right where we were last year so far.
