The Atlanta Cowards fans keep telling themselves they are the best team in baseball.  You guys pride yourselves on being the best regular season team.  We will work on being the best post season team.

The matchups between the Phillies top 2 starters and DBacks top 2 starters is going to be the key to success... as always, it comes down to pitching.  If Wheeler and Nola can match and/or exceed the Dbacks' starters in those games... it should end well for the Phillies.

I can't figure out why he's going after Jeudy so much.  Seems almost like a vendetta.

Smith called him out as underperforming and called him a JAG on his podcast, but he tried to apologise to him for it when he saw him Yesterday, Jeudy just flat blew him off, told him "<N word>, I don't mess with you". Smith decided he was right the first time.

Jeudy has talent. The only reason I would consider bringing him here is that he was at his best at Alabama...Hurts and Smith were with him then too. Could they hold him accountable to be the best WR he can be? 

I'd take a late round pick flier on him if they could

That said, keeping the Braves run total to a low that they haven’t done all year is also due to Topper’s managing matchups, bullpen use etc.   

 

People criticize him for what seem to be "head scratching” moves at times but in reality, they’re not.  He knows what he’s doing when it comes to analytics and matchups and this past series basically proves that.

  No, when it happens over and over again and produces win after win, (especially in the post season)  it’s no longer luck, it’s skill.  Give credit when credit is due.

They are. MLB is not like other sports. The Regular season team IS the best team.

Smith went on Jeudy like Chris Rock went on Will Smith.  Just repeating over and over "I'm sorry I said you are an average wide receiver"

Not anymore.  Back in the 70s and 80s, when only 4 teams made the playoffs, usually the best regular season team would win the World Series.  Before that there were only the NL and AL winners.  Now, with 5-6 teams making the playoffs in each league the regular season takes on far less importance.
