Apparently the NFL has told that woman who does the NFL logo redesigns to cease and desist using their logos. How lame is that? I bet if one miss Taylor Swift chimed in they would change their tune.

Jeudy has talent. The only reason I would consider bringing him here is that he was at his best at Alabama...Hurts and Smith were with him then too. Could they hold him accountable to be the best WR he can be?

I'd take a late round pick flier on him if they could

I doubt they’ll take anything less than a late 2nd or 3rd round pick for him.  The jury is still out on Jeudy and had he not been picked so high, his performance in previous seasons would have been fine for a late 1st round/2nd round pick…so I doubt they would take a "late round” pick for him.

And you guys say the Braves are soft.  That's a killer mentality right there:

Atta boy, Orlando!   You showed them.

What he doesn't realize is that this will NEVER stop for him in any future game in Philadelphia... and there will be some that will follow him to games in Clearwater... and even some in Atlanta.  He's not heard the last of this.

The Atlanta Cowards fans keep telling themselves they are the best team in baseball.  You guys pride yourselves on being the best regular season team.  We will work on being the best post season team.

There wasn’t even a single point in the series they were the better team

Smith called him out as underperforming and called him a JAG on his podcast, but he tried to apologise to him for it when he saw him Yesterday, Jeudy just flat blew him off, told him "<N word>, I don't mess with you". Smith decided he was right the first time.

Seems like they are both a little sensitive.  But, why put him on blast before the game like that?    A bit unprofessional as a commentator to take your personal beefs onto the air.  Then again, Smith has never been a 'professional' commentator, he's just an ex-player that they add for drama and 'authenticity'.  That garbage is why I never tune in to the pre-game shows.

Watching Payton start the season 1 - 5 has been very enjoyable.

They are. MLB is not like other sports. The Regular season team IS the best team.

I always go back to the 2011 Phillies. 102 wins then vanquished from the playoffs in the divisional series.

I wonder how high a pick is realistic though really, looking at it his first three years (157, 2295, 9TD's) aren't as good as Jordan Matthews (225, 2672, 19TD's) and we had to send a 3rd round pick with Matthews to Buffalo for Ronald Darby, so how high a pick is Jeudy worth?

They were the best team for 162.  But in the postseason, all teams start 0-0.  And in the 4 games between the Phillies and Braves, the Phillies were clearly the better team, and in a series, that's all the matters.

If regular season record was the way to determine the champion, then there would be no playoffs.   The Braves proved they were capable of being the top team over the course of the 162, but when crunch time came, they caved.  There's a lot to be said about a team's ability to overcome adversity.  They showed that they can't handle adversity... and they showed it repeatedly in this series.  Strider's antics in the dugout as he was taken out in Game 1... his little temper tantrum as he left the mound last night... Arcia's immaturity with the fans.   They just aren't built for stress and the post-season, especially with fans.   No wonder they won the World Series where there were no fans... and its no wonder that Strider sees no fans in the stadium (or at least the lower bowl) as the future of the sport.  Fans are why you get paid.  Butts in the seats adds to your paycheck.  The experience in the ball park is nothing like the experience at home.   For football, I love watching at home because of the camera angles and access you get.  Football was made for TV.   Baseball, on the other hand, is so much better in person.  It's night and day, especially as the stakes are raised.

Correct.  It can easily be pointed out that the Braves 'stole' Game 2 and were outplayed by a wide margin.   The only reason the games were close is the Phillies didn't execute with RISP very well... but they had people on the bases constantly in all the games.

Add to that the fact that the Broncos are in sell mode, you shouldn't be paying top dollar for him. Heck, I wonder if a Barnett for Jeudy trade could be done. They just unloaded two veteran DE in Randy Gregory and Frank Clark. He's still just 27 too so they could look to him for a few years.

Carter apparently got hurt in practice. Sirianni said he "doesn't expect him to be out long". Not sure how to read that.

Eagles 29

Jets 16

Quez has a play that gets nominated for Angry Runs.  If this happens, I should win the week regardless of getting the closest score

He and Slay did not practice yesterday.

Usually English should be read left to right.

What they should do is, if they put him in to pinch hit, don’t announce it.  Don’t put it on the Jumbotron.  Just play the music….

The whole "the playoff format is not fair for the higher seeded teams" is just another way of saying "our superstars came up small again in clutch time".

This Braves team reminds me of their teams from the 90's.  Well suited to dominate during the regular season, but their advantage would diminished in the playoffs. Their big advantage was their starting pitching depth, which didn't matter much in the post season. Only one championship during a decade-long run of dominance.

As Castellanos said after the game last night, playoff baseball is different.  It's easier to rack up offensive stats during the season while facing average pitching in placid stadiums with nothing on the line.  It's much harder when your butt cheeks are clenching up.  Topper said after we clinched the WC that this team is build for the post-season.  We are seeing that now.

Philly fans are the best

The Phillies are the better team but as we have all seen, that doesn't mean anything in these playoffs. All 100-hundred-win teams have been eliminated. As usual, it all starts with Wheeler and Nola. If they can give you 6-7 innings of 2 run ball, I have confidence that they will win. The damn offense needs to stop leaving a crap ton of runners on base as well. That's the only reason why last night's game was close and why they lost game 2. I have the Phillies in 6.
