I think Hunt's role depends how his body responds to a pro training program.

If he bulks up to 260+ and remains explosive, he'll become a true edge rusher.

Given his age, more like he stays in the 250s, gets stronger in his lower body but still has the flexibility to drop into coverage.

How many college edges have the cover skills these days to be legitimate 3-4 SOLBs? That is more valuable than another 3rd down pass rush specialist.

A 6'4 OLB with long arms and cover instincts is a nightmare for most QBs, Get into passing lanes and makes it hard to drop the ball along the sideline. Size and speed to defeat blocks on screens and cover RBs out of the backfield.

Micah just needs to demand a trade to Philly already.

I’m thrilled with the draft thus far, but also concerned about RG, overall OL depth, #3 Wr and LB, but there’s no doubt that we’re better today than we were last week.  Some holes to plug and I’m confident we’ll address at least some of them, and we’ll have to compensate with the others.  There’s talent to do it.

Hunt is 6-4 247. How much weight do people think he needs to put on? 20 lbs? DeVonta Smith did that in 3 months. He'll be a monster by TC once he's in the Eagles facility!

Hunt will put on 30 lbs of pure muscle... its SOP around here.

No. He needs to practice. A redshirt year would be a disaster.

A redshirt year as the 53rd man is definitely possible.

For those calling Hunt old, he just turned 23. That’s older for normal drafts. That’s not bad at all for the Covid years.

If he's old at 23... and I'm twice his age, what does that make me?

Barwin was 6-4 256 at the combine.

Lets not add a bunch of weight thinking he is meant to be a pass rusher. Thats just one of the things he can do.

If you are making him in to a pass rusher you are wasting the pick and missing the skills that made the eagles select him this early.

If they wanted a developmental pass rusher they could have had Austin Booker, Xavier Thomas, Jean-Baptiste, Myles Cole, Brennan Jackson.... all later. Some of them much later in this draft.

What separates Hunt and raises his stock is that he is a unicorn who can do so much more than just rush the passer. So lets be careful about adding weight and typecasting him as a pass rusher. Thats not really what he is.

DeJean was a letdown?😧

DeJean was a letdown.

I don’t see a first round talent at all, and neither did any other NFL team.  He wouldn’t have been a player I targeted as a trade up from 50 to 40, either.  If Fangio knows how to utilize him as a safety/nickel, then I’m more hopeful.  I don’t want to see him playing boundary CB at all.  Too stiff and not fluid.

The Hunt pick was a trade down, trade down, then take a flyer on a very raw project at #94 when you were sitting at #78.  Hopefully he’s not another Davion Taylor — who was an infuriating pick that went under the radar because of the furor over picking Hurts at #53.  Looking at Hunt’s tape, he is extremely raw.  A converted safety who looks lost out there in some of the clips I see.  He’s a twitchy, fast guy so the Eagles took him — but I haven’t seen very many evaluations listing him as anything other than a Day 3 prospect l

He needs to hit the weight room... and that should add some lbs... maybe only 10... but he needs to be stronger.

I just watched his high school highlights and you can see where he had that early potential back then.
