Siri aggressiveness is always going to come into question when it fails but nobody going to complain when it works lol.

Honestly the only thing I questioned from Siri decision wise was the two point conversion when the extra point would have still made it a 3 possession game… 18 points 17 points not really a huge difference still a 3 possession game instead we only had 16 points and a two possession lead

The aggressive approach left points on the field. IDK how they can feed off busting down the field to get points and coming up short due to bonehead calls. The players want to see points on the board for their efforts

Also him way over thinking the 4th and inches and trying some PA bootleg throw v the Tush push… if I’m going for it in that spot to move the chains and keep the clock moving I’m going to our bread and butter play if they stopped that they deserved the ball back

Siri,Fangio and Moore will sit in a room and watch the Dallas players vids. Then they will talk with the player rooms and work with them on what they saw,and how to beat it. They relegate the responsibilities to the under card coaches who work with the players on various techniques they can use against the guy they face. This happens EVERY WEEK. One game at a time

Even in HS I was not privvy to the HC's room time. My position coach/asst coach was responsible for working with me on how to beat my man for the upcoming clash. What techiques I should use,how I can use varying moves within my ability to get open,what my blocking assingments would look like if they needed changed or updated etc

100%... but 16 to 17 points... going into the 2nd half... vs a team that hasn't scored a point... huge difference.  Then what happens is he chased the 2 points the next two TDs... one decision caused a chain reaction.

Then... why not kick a 40 yard FG instead of going for it... but then decide to kick a 57 yard FG...   go for it both times.   Except you would think that kicking the shorter FG would make you lean more towards kicking ... the longer FG should make you want to go for it?   He does the opposite???   

But he wanted to go up 9... no kidding.... he would have already been up 9 if he kicked the shorter FG that Doug handed him by going for a 4th down inside their own 40.   Take the gift. 

For me.. there was no upside for the success compared to the potential down side each time.  You gotta manage the current game.  Past games didn't bother me, like ATL when he went for it instead of the FG .. on 4th and goal in a 0-0 game.  This past game... just dumb game management.   

 

2015,16 and 2020 were the last 3 Eagles losing seasons 

You score.... you kick off... the other team goes 4 and out... take the 3 points and kick off again.  It's a gift.  Make them pay for that decision.  

It's different if they drove, or punted... then we had a long drive to get there, then you may want to go for it.... but kicking the FG to go up 13-0 right after Doug messed up... you acknowledge Doug's mistake... " thank you for the 3 points"  and kick off.  

It's like a pick 6, but it a " stop 3"  or whatever you want to call it.  LOL   score and they get the ball back.

So far.... the two worst games by the coach.....The Saints and today.... both wins.

That's not excusing the coach for making a game close,  when it shouldn't have been.   That's just pointing out that you can't make a statement how you know why they will lose.

I don't think this team is so talented that the coach is the only way they will lose.  Another thing, the Eagles are 19-1 when Hurts doesn't throw an interception...  players absolutely matter... so it’s a pretty arrogant statement to say they are good enough or will play good enough every game to where it's going to be the coach's fault.

To me...3 things annoyed me.... coaching decisions today and in the Saints game...and Barkley not getting the 1st down before stepping out of bounds vs Cleveland  .... those games were all wins... but shouldn't have been as close without those decisions.    The losses... can't predict how they will come.

That should have been the fourth down play if they actually stopped us…which our Physical team had shown great signs of potentially salting games away controlling the ball at the end. The thing is Siri actually acknowledged he understood the situation…by not accepting the penalty and the first down. Short yardage we converted made them use all their TOs. That was the exact moment we earned by not accepting that first down but earning and converting to setup the whole situation. That’s what this team is ideally built to do. Would have done exactly that to start all three games of the season cementing our Physical winning identity.

Excellent play call that was dropped.... not even a question.  Nobody has questioned that except you.... that should tell you something.   well it would a normal person.  

9 in the box... design and call a play that a guy is wide open... run/ pass option where option 2 was Hurts running the ball... Hurts decided (correctly) to throw the ball to the open guy... ball was dropped.

Of course... you like to skip the fact that it was a run pass option... and that your boy ultimately made the final decision... and really bothers you that the whole world agrees with the decision your boy made... now you are stuck going against your boy... but trying to spin it like it was only the coach's fault... and not even the guy who called the play (Moore) .. you skip the play caller, the QB and go right to the coach.... absolutely no agenda there....lol

Just think about the pressure teams would have added to them playing us knowing we are great at doing that? How early in the second half would opposing coaches already have to risk and push even harder facing a team proving going to do that to you? Well chew up the last five minutes …and score. If you were coaching against a team realizing this…would you P with 4 minutes left in the game ? Especially if we have the lead.

did we run out the clock yesterday?     I think you live in dreamland thinking in 2024 that you believe this is automatic.   They put 9 in the box ... you don't run on that

So you think Siri lied? He stated so many guys in the box…is why. I doubt I’m remotely the only complaining about that bad decision. Can you run it when everybody knows it’s coming? Should exactly be our identity. But don’t convert running it on third down isn’t even terrible. You still should be going for it on fourth… which would be the time, if ever, you call that Saquan pass. Every decision and the scenario absolutely was totally setup for us to crush clock so brutally …by running the ball exactly that play.
