Just add in the during the season self scouted changes and needed improvements. So what is this giant plan you have?????? We're winning week to week, what else is needed??? Win one game every week and you win the SB. it's that simple. Why clog things up with a load of baloney? The giant plan is to be better. Yeah like the 31 other teams. But we know this team is going to lose games along the way and I think most of those losses (however many there may be) will probably be on the HC because he makes awful in game decisions.

We have 2 losses.... why did we lose Atlanta....Barkley drop the ball on a great play call. Tampa.... the team was injured. So far.... the two worst games by the coach.....The Saints and today.... both wins. That's not excusing the coach for making a game close, when it shouldn't have been. That's just pointing out that you can't make a statement how you know why they will lose. I don't think this team is so talented that the coach is the only way they will lose. Another thing, the Eagles are 19-1 when Hurts doesn't throw an interception... players absolutely matter... so it’s a pretty arrogant statement to say they are good enough or will play good enough every game to where it's going to be the coach's fault. To me...3 things annoyed me.... coaching decisions today and in the Saints game...and Barkley not getting the 1st down before stepping out of bounds vs Cleveland .... those games were all wins... but shouldn't have been as close without those decisions. The losses... can't predict how they will come.
November 4, 20241 yr Btw.... as a fan.... we are allowed to be annoyed each week at something or someone different. 14 years of watching Andy Reid not manage a clock... doesn't mean he was a bad coach or was his fault every loss. Same with any player. You can be annoyed at the coach this week....annoyed at Barkley the other weeks if he messes up a key play.... and the QB isn't immune if he messes up also.... or the defense if they can't tackle like vs Arizona last year. Nobody gets a pass due to what they did in prior weeks.

Correct.... correct...the coach had his two worst games and the team still won.... the team won in spite of the QB week 1 vs Green Bay....the team won in spite of Tom Brady breaking the passing record in the Superbowl...the Eagles won plenty of games in spite of Andy Reid not running the ball or managing the clock properly. In 16 wins of a regular season where all the teams play....probably 14 of them you can say a team wins in spite of something. I just saw the Barkley fumble.... I missed most of the game today ...listened to a lot of it on the radio. That bad call as it wasn't a fumble...sure changed the game...we won IN SPITE of that. Happens all the time. Still no excuse and needs to be cleaned up. But I can't predict why we will lose any of the next losses. My guess... injury and fatigue, bad tackling, the QB turning it over....probably all contribute. And sure...we possibly could pass on a FG or extra point and cost us some points. But I can't guarantee any of that. We could lose without 3 or 4 of those reasons.
November 4, 20241 yr My issue is with the analytics here... I'm up 10 ... 10-0 means the other team didn't score yet...not only that, they couldn't move the ball. Their coach goes for it on 4th down inside their own 40... that's a gift FG. Take it..go up 13-0 ..not just a normal 13 point lead...but 13-0 is increasing the hole they have to dig out of. You make the extra point...17-0...that's 3 scores vs a team that hasn't scored yet. Take it. 18 point lead means nothing vs a 17 point lead...but 16 vs 17 is a big difference... it's a 3rd possession. Take the extra point... this is the a analytics that are messing it up. Or...they need to emphasize this. GB and I have had this argument all 2022. " we need to score 30 points, why are we taking our foot off the gas" ..vs my point...go up 17 I the 2nd half. They now need 3 possessions. It's not emotional for me because I don't care about press conferences or talking to fans... it's about the strategy of the game, the math, and making it more difficult for my opponent to beat me. I have no beef personally with the coach...I'll never meet him. I don't care about the style, the haircut...whatever, just manage the F!@ing game.

And I’m sure the teams who win can point to reasons they won and also say they won in spite of. But there’s no getting away from it… Sirianni is a major problem in game. Maybe he’s great with the players, maybe he’s great at building culture and all that… But he’s awful in game. He makes bad decisions all the time and in big moments and in play off games that will cost us. We know that will happen because it’s happened in the regular season and he’s done it in wins. We know in closer games that’ll cost us.

Bigger issue is I doubt it’s viewed as bad by Laurie and Howie and the rest of the FO that is big on the analytics. Up 10-0 we went for it on 4th v taking the easy 3… Analytics is going to say going for it and possibly getting a TD a better then just keeping the same a two possession game. The extra points analytics says if you get a penalty on them and your half the distance to the goal it’s better to go for two. Common sense though says take the 3 possession lead over the two huge difference.

No getting around Hurts being a problem in some other games, no getting around Barkley dropping the ball vs Atlanta.. no getting around bad tackling in some games. You don't know what will " cost us" in any game. Doesn't get much closer than the Saints game does it?
November 4, 20241 yr You can't act like every problem with our team occurs " every game" Turnovers were a problem.. our QB cleaned it up...unfortunately Barkley's " fumble" was a key play yesterday. Tackling was a problem... soft coverage was a problem... lack of pressure was a problem....but not in all the games. The coaching hasn't been a problem...in all of the games. As a fan...one sounds more intelligent speaking of what happened in.that particular game...without agenda. Then we can voice our concerns that it may happen again... For me, I'm concerned about everything... the QB turning the ball over, the defense not putting pressure, covering or Tackling well... injury to AJ, Smith or Barkley... and absolutely if our coach decides to leave points off the scoreboard. But I'm not going to be arrogant enough to say which one of these things is going to cost us when it matters down the line. Nor am I arrogant enough to think all this stuff is perfect every game. These things are going to happen...just like the Superbowl...and we will have to overcome whichever issue it is on that day.
November 4, 20241 yr Btw... why didn't anyone say " in game" the coach was awful in 2022? That's the problem with some people... you just assume things won't change and exaggerate everything... of Andy Reid can call rum plays...any coach can make a simple decision to kick a FG. We aren't talking about some physical talent that couldn't change.
November 4, 20241 yr Any coach can coach a good or a bad game tomorrow. It always starts 0-0. Same with any player. Now back to Ham's idea of the " bigger picture " Barkley just had 30 touches... I know he can handle a work load ..it's one of the things that makes him different than Swift or Sanders... but we have 9 games left...then playoffs. That's a concern of mine, lesson his work load and get the other guys some reps. Shipley being able to get on the field would be huge.

I have no beef personally with the coach...I'll never meet him. I don't care about the style, the haircut...whatever, just manage the F!@ing game. Totally agree. And on the points thing. Most teams don't hit 30PPG. If we can hit 31 PPG AVERAGE you should(in theory) win most or all of your games. You may lose one 34-31,still you played yo your goal. Like golf, you can make an astounding amount of money if you just shoot par EVERY GAME. So that was the point I was trying to make when the SHTF. Sometimes you will score more than 31,sometimes less. Depends who you play and how good their D is,but if you can score 31PPG you will or should be the best team. You will have those oddball games where we score 9 and those where we rack up 45,except we usually stop,if the game is out of hand for the opposition. I'm ok if we go to the run to burn off the clock. The point was vs those high scoring offenses some have that we need that 31, Ham seems to think I DEMAND IT. No,I don't. Play smart, but if it's an all out offensive war,you get the 31. I echo everything else you said. Siri needs to stop with the analytic BS and get a feel for each game. It makes him look stupid and inept. We could have lost this game because of it and IMO his job will depend on it. I'm sure his excuse to Lurie will be "I went with the analytics".But those just dropped after TWO failed plays at the GL and the other 4th down. If the players lose confidence in these coaching calls, they will stop busting. Siri made a fool out of himself yesterday and that criticism is warranted. On that note,Hurts made some super plays, then more bonehead plays himself. Less bonehead and more "super" would be nice to see LOL. I have watched football since the Heidi bowl and that Barkley backwards hurdle was just AMAZING!!! One for the record books and we got to see it LIVE,just like when they turned off football for Heidi LOL
