Just invested a 3rd last year in Brown at S. Might not spend a 1st on a CB but definitely could see us getting a CB in rounds 2 or 3 maybe back to back
March 20, 20241 yr Author I will try some other mocks with a higher CB and another with a DL guy since linemen are Howies favs, but he needs to get some young guns in the back in this draft

But he never worked out really and Howie is gun shy again

I didn't like the pick when it was made Neither did I like the pick. But not letting that cloud my judgement now. Now he’s just sitting out there waiting to be signed on the cye
March 20, 20241 yr I’m not beating any tables for us to sign Dillard. But seemed like his best spot was to move to RG.
March 20, 20241 yr Author OK try this mock because it looks like a Howie type draft 1-22-Byron Murphy-DL-Texas 2-50-Cooper Beebe-IOL-Kansas St.2-53-TJ Tampa-CB-Iowa St(I like this kid) 3-97-Cade Stover-TE-OSU 5-161-Beau Brade-S-Maryland 5-171-Curtis Jacobs-LB-PSU 5-172-Ainias Smith-SLOT WR-Texas A&M(like this kid too and he is the TOP slot WR-needs to have a good pro day since he could not compete at the combine 6-211-Cody Schrader-RB-Missouri

I still have powers as the 22 pick(IOL Oregon). Some like Verse from FL st(edge) Doubt four straight QBs

A new guy is Jacobs. This would be a nice draft with those 3 at the top. Stover would solve the TE2 debacle. Smith is the top slot WR,Brade has skills,he can sit and learn, same with Jacobs and Schrader

Think he turns 27 in June We have rookies going to be drafted that are 23-24 years old Look at the LSU QB he is 23 turns 24 during the season in year 1 Darnold is only 2-3 years older with 6 more years of nfl experience What’s insane is Jalen Hurts is only 25 still.
March 20, 20241 yr Author https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Dallin-Holker-TE-BYU Interesting prospect with big upside Could snag this guy in 5 maybe and free up the 97 pick for something else.He needs work on blocking. He was a pass catcher all this time,so maybe he can learn the needed blocking skills. After the catch he moves like WR
March 21, 20241 yr Author Stover worth the higher pick in my view. Learning curve for Holker is alot bigger,so I will leave him where he is for now

March 21, 20241 yr I hate Hurts more because of his fans then Hurts for his actual play and that just sad his fans are that terrible

You keep saying :just get me the best players" yet when I lay it out it's not good enough. Like to see you post a mock. A round FIVE QB is something you need to worry about?? I'm not selecting one in round 2 here and he is the LAST round 5 pick. yes I liked what I saw from McKee,but it was so limited there is no real reason to know unless he gets into a real game during the season which is unlikely. Maybe Milton is better and one goes away? Or both work out and we have a trade piece??? But with the last 5 pick it's not worth the risk??? Please post a mock covering all picks not just "I like this guy". I'd like to see it. 2) whatever 3) Why can't we get a TE AND a slot WR? Is there some rule bout that? Again post your mock. Where do you take a D lineman. If you do that's fine but you're giving up talent in the back 7 and this is a great draft for that.A round 5 DL is going to make an impact? No different that a round 5 QB,except that QB's are worth more in a trade if they work out. Tell me where "later" is for your D line pick. How much later? GOod CB,S and LB class here,it's a good time to grab a couple. Find more DL guys in FA if that suits you Why do you need competition for 3rd string QB...when there are other holes on your roster. You have all 3 QBs locked up...for multiple seasons.... you already liked the 3rd string QB, he should be looking to compete for the #2 job. Look at the roster and look past this year. You are going to lose 3 DL in your rotation...Graham, Sweat and Milton. Your OL is thin. You have one RB under contract past this year. Your two starting CBs are old. You need a slot WR. That's not even looking at LB or S. Drafting a QB to compete for #3... not the time for it. We have invested enough in the position. A pick last year, moving back in this years draft. 2 picks next year. We paid Hurts big $$. That's enough of an investment on QB. A couple OL... a couple DL.. TE , RB, WR... we need those. And again...that's not even mentioning LB, S or CB. I'm good without drafting a QB for a couple of years.
