C'mon Joe you missed the boat here Well...I'm here on planet earth and in the local area... clearly the team was progressing as the season went along. It seems like the organization from top down...is allowing itself to improve from the bottom up...each level taking input from the one below. Ultimately to where the players seem to be playing the style they want and are enjoying playing it together...under Moore, Fangio...Siri...Howie...Lurie.

The thing Ham was saying

Not just one move alone. There’s a bigger picture. Comical. You know players get hurt, constantly and you have to replace some and you have to have a loose wallet to do it, and you have to know your targets from when guys get hurt, who is out there and who is the best replacement, what will they cost, when you need to do it. You can't just sign everyone and say they will all be here all year. The "master plan" changes weekly(or can easily) What happened last week has a direct bearing on THIS week, thus the 1 game at a time you fight everyone on.

Hurts brought AJ here, the Saints deal was stupid, Barkley was tampered with, but now that we are in the SB it's all been backtracked LOLOLOLOL Comedy at it's best I made the point years ago... the Eagles handle the business side well...so they get attempts in free agency. Dallas doesn't but they draft well. If the Eagles draft well...or if Dallas doesn't for a couple years... you will see the Eagles jump way ahead. Now...with Howie... finally drafting well a few years in a row... look what happened Really curious to see which team drafted as well as us over the last 4 years. If there is one that's close?

February 8, 20251 yr 12 minutes ago, GreenbleedinNC said: I just assumed because he was talking about failure in the slot. But we never know because there are 37 posts to sift through and I took my shot lol Really hasn't been much of an investment in the slot. I assume they just see it as the 5th weapon that is interchangeable..WR/ TE etc.

It would be fun to find out what happened exactly. I remember Howie saying he was going to take time to learn about the draft and what to look for. IDK what he did, but it worked quite well. Did he just follow scouts around? who did he talk to,what moves did he make from the knowledge gaining part? It would make a good book, and while we may never find out,his draft fails were corrected after the Vikes war room basically laughed at him for the Reagor selection. I think that embarrassment really motivated him

Football is unique.... so many roster spots to fill.. injury is more a part of the game ... just gotta be prepared to adjust to the fluidity of the roster building over the course of the offseason and through the season.

Right, why I argue with Ham about 1 week at a time. It's foolish to plan 14 weeks ahead because the guys you have today may not be playing

I would be interested to read the story about what moves he made, or who he met with, tagged along with, it couldn't have been 1 minor move, it had to have been fairly extensive, the initiatives taken

Look at the supporting cast! All studs. 2017 not a single pro bowl skill guy...let alone guys you could argue the best in the league. Solid options with depth but then when it fell apart and the QB that got paid looked awful...there was no way he was going to let Hurts look bad due to having crap all around him.

So I was super glad I was wrong and he bucked the trend he had established. Now it's nice because all positions are now on the table

We saw decent performances from guys who never really play much in Pickett and McKey with the 2's and 3's and we were still presentable as a team. I mean what would this team look like if either had 3 year in with these guys? Even though neither is a #1 QB at the moment

Yeah, but he was the "ok we addressed that need": signing. I'm glad he quit right away rather than stretch it out. After he quit we signed Paris. Still not a fan,but I don't have to like every choice. I was not a Quez fan either
