The more stuff that comes out, you really see into how Jeff Lurie did his best job as an owner.

Being patient and taking in all the information from Howie and Siri.   Even consulting a few outside sources such as Belicheck.

You could see each issue get addressed.  Siri’s request for two new coordinators.  One in Moore that was a complete set of " new eyes" with different approach. The other in Fangio that stuck with the philosophy they want, but just more experience.

Then you go to addressing the players and the holes in the roster, but taking in the influence of the coaches.   Fangio  being old schoo  you could tell had zero tolerance for Reddick’s BS and his vision for what Baun could bring.

Addressing the 3 weaknesses in the secondary that had Slay and Blankenship as the best two last year ...BY FAR... now with a complete 5 man stud unit.

The pre planning of drafting Jurgens, letting him sit and then putting him in at RG last year, gearing up to be ready to move back to his natural position where he could excel.

Carter, a stud, just needing a year to mature after seeing what the NFL is about.  Combo with the natural obvious maturing of the other DTs and a guy like Smith on the edge.

Adding Barkley to elevate the skill positions as a whole to clearly the best group in the league.   Then credit Siri for the idea of using a former top pick at G.  Pure physical stud.  The OL from a physical standpoint is much more dominant.

That was a great start, and then the obvious regrouping during the bye week ...finally getting Dejean ready to take his starting job and offensively listening to the OL and Hurts suggestions of simplifying the offense.

Just a great example of...  identifying issues and finding solutions.

Basically interviewing Bellicheat because he needed to fire his HC that just headed up the biggest team collapse in NFL history. Being 10-1 with so many even pumping out cheats of our team being the best league wide. Down to couldn’t punch a hole through a wet paper bag come playoffs. The fire-able offense stand alone of any HC that did what Siri did that final regular season game last season. There were no quality HC to hire. Bellicheat being the only real option. So talking to him they got a real good idea of his outside perspective. Also knew it meant ripping absolutely everything up if he was the replacement,

Siri didn’t request new coordinators. He I don’t think chose last years coordinators either. That was all Rosie and Lurie. Not even kind of was given the option of only way you stay on as HC was to step back being stripped of power. DC and OC would be placed for Siri by Rosie. Fangio already chosen. Moore interviewed for the same HC job Siri beat him out for. Not even because Siri was the better option on his own…because of how strongly Rosie felt about his coordinators he could bring. Steichen turned out better than I feel most even considered. But Siri doesn’t get a second interview of consideration without Gannon coming as DC. That was the clincher.

How often has Lurie/Howie ever hired the popular options as a HC? Chip Kelly? They almost never take the known guy and hire some off everyone’s radar

Andy Reid

Doug Peterson

Nick Sirianni

Why would Belicheat be the only real option if the Eagles were serious about firing him in the offseason doesn’t fit what Lurie does at all.

Seemed pretty obvious the plan was to always give Siri this year to right the ship and if he didn’t then he would have been shown the door

You really love to reach lol if the Eagles valued our coordinators more then Siri why wouldn’t they have just offered the HC job to idk Gannon or Steichen lol 😂 makes no sense what so ever

Lurie does deserve so much credit. Don’t want that lost here. Feels like your main point. Even though you got lost in all this around it. Fangio had pretty much zero to do with Reddick. Everybody I thought knew this. Reddick wasn’t getting paid. Known last season. Fangio wasn’t even here. Reddick was gone. Huff was the already recalculated move to replace. I don’t even see Fangio having anything to do with either.

As we are running the same core offense that we have ran since Siri has taken over as HC???? We clearly are not running the traditional Kellen Moore style system just go look at his teams in Dallas and LA.

But totally agree with the listening and involving everybody collaborating to form the success achieved. Lurie showed ownership decisions can’t say any other owner possesses.

Laughable to suggest Siri wanted or chose Moore to run the O. In fact he even made a small point of you noticed about keeping on his Pass Coordinator so he maintained his control. Which he really wasn’t even supposed to be as involved as he was with the O this season. Made it a very difficult job for Moore to navigate in fact. Some real show of fantastic performance by Moore to get done what he did under the circumstances. Had to reconstruct and combine two worlds together and make it work. All in one offseason. Some obvious bumps in that road. But unbelievably fantastic job he did…no matter how much I never was all about him as my choice. Far from just here’s my playbook and run my O. Which is hard enough. But to adapt in one year your playbook and scheme into what he walked into here….he k of a performance. Not sure I’ve really heard much mention of even hardly occurring. At least since TC began….

Seems like most SB champion stories do read much more ideally and dream like was my point. Just sharing my opinion on it. Thought it was something fairly universally understood by all. But guess not.

Again simple question what is the difference between the approaches from 2022-2023-2024?

Only difference is guys panning out or not the approach hasn’t changed

22 completely ignored S but we’re gifted CJ in that dream like championship scenario trade. Giants gifted us Bradberry way after the fact. So much luck went our way. Never seen a season laid on a platter for us like that was. Great FA signing in Reddick. LBs came on after developing.

This season BG, everything changed. Hired the respected DC that would need Rosie to give up power to get his way. So we draft two straight DBs. Pay the Rb like always refused in team building philosophies.

To me Rosie did so much different. So much of what I’ve complained about as being his flaws I’ve identified….he changed this season.

What Super Bowl stories are you watching lol 😂 the documentary ones that only look at the good thing lol

2017 Eagles lose your MVP caliber QB, Darren Sproles, All Pro LT and win with backup Foles

2001 Pats 0-2 start lose your starting QB, QB coach dies at the age of 45

1999-2000 Rams lose starting QB Trent Green in preseason and turn to backup QB Kurt Warner

And that just 3 examples sure I could find plenty ty more if I looked them up they read ideally and dream like? What about these 3 read ideally

2019 KC wasn’t that the team that had to deal with Kareem Hunt drama that was ideal? As well as losing top edge player in Dee Ford…. And this is just the service level stuff I’m quicking finding

Rosie stepped back and hired best qualified people and let them do their jobs. Which made him all the better doing his own job. Set aside his ego very noticeably here. Fangio was no puppet. He wasn’t going to tell Fangio what to do or he needed to do. Fangio wasn’t going to be intimidated by Rosie’s massive analytics department backing him up. Rosie hired the qualified guy. Then let him setup his own D how he saw fit. I don’t see Rosie drafting Q ever. So much so Rosie looks brilliant that he just sat and didn’t trade up. I actually would go as far to say I believe Rosie was even hoping Q would be drafted so he didn’t have to do it. Trading up for DeJean wasn’t a move Rosie would target. Rosie is as good as they come dealing with trading. So he performed fantastic making it happen. Then again working out drafting Jalyx. He added draft ammo and still got the pick done. Felt almost like it pained Rosie to take Jalyx so high. But was very clear he had no choice. If he screwed around and missed drafting Jalyx he would have really messed up big.

Wasn’t the same old approach at all this season for us. Paid the RB…we were so out front in denouncing to do. Hired the coach that couldn’t just be controlled by Rosie. Paid the S.

Now still didn’t pay the LB. But I totally believe this was a clear strategy of executing the Master Plan. Fangio is known for making LBs out of nowhere. So think he clearly was given the mission of identifying and finding the cheap best starting option.

Draft was obviously already given over to Fangio. Whether it goes back to back DBs is probably more how the draft played out overall for us. Likely DeJean was even agreed upon as our first round pick…predraft prep wise.

But the D was atrocious. 31st pass D. Just bad…not even just because the coaching deficiency and train wreck situation Rosie setup last season. Rosie completely screwed the D all up last year.

Rosie already was feuding and decided on Reddick and Huff. Everything clearly points to that…before last season even concluded.

Bradberry and Slay already decided and paid as starters by Rosie

Paid the S that we offered more money to two year ago lol but refused to test the market and got less….

You think Schwartz was some kind of puppet? Clearly doubt it lol and I highly doubt Howie tells them how to coach

As for drafting trading up for Dejean screams completely Howie as does sitting pat for Q. Howie for all his faults tends to over correct them the following year.

And not even all that odd us looking at DBs didn’t we have like Sidney Jones as our top rated CB back in like 2017 prior to him getting injured?

Not to mention double dipped that draft landing Rasul Douglas as well?

So that was the hand Fangio was dealt. It was a bad hand. So easy to conclude everybody already agreed he was getting his way and the majority of ammo to do his thing. Would the O still be under Siri or ….at this point Moore beyond one season? Doubtful. But we were building Fangio’s D for the long haul.

It truly is baffling how far out of the way you reach to try and discredit Howie and the HC of this team…. Just such outlandish reaches lmao 😂 quite comical
