So easy to conclude everybody already agreed he was getting his way and the majority of ammo to do his thing. Would the O still be under Siri or ….at this point Moore beyond one season? Doubtful. But we were building Fangio’s D for the long haul. Almost like our offense was already in place with idk two pro bowl WRs, best OL in football, we signed Barkley, had our TE and QB oh even went out of our way to trade for a 3rd WR Dotson. Shocker our draft focus was getting younger on the defensive side of the ball anybody with eyes could see our team was old and slow and needed youth. Had zero to do with Vic Fangio

You think Schwartz was some kind of puppet? Clearly doubt it lol and I highly doubt Howie tells them how to coach As for drafting trading up for Dejean screams completely Howie as does sitting pat for Q. Howie for all his faults tends to over correct them the following year. And not even all that odd us looking at DBs didn’t we have like Sidney Jones as our top rated CB back in like 2017 prior to him getting injured? Not to mention double dipped that draft landing Rasul Douglas as well? Yeah missed on Sidney. Injured high potential ceiling they gauged. Covering up undoing his mistake paying Ceedy Duce…is that good or bad? He totally screwed up. Couldn’t make it happen the previous season. Now…CJ didn’t have the market he believed he should have. Less than most anybody would have believed he had in fact. Rosie was on top of that and realized this situation. But….felt like that’s where his ego got in the way. He was going to prove his point and how correct Rosie was. So he made sure to let that S we needed so bad go. CJ learned the lesson of Rosie was right. But we paid for it because we needed him. Not just that….but pivoted to paying Bradberry even more to set him up as the starter for the next two seasons. Terrible trade off decision.

Just such outlandish reaches lmao 😂 quite comical We’ll wait…that’s why I keep making sure I’m pointing out the opposite of lucky dream scenario Chamipmship season. Making sure it’s clear so many great moves happened to get us here.
February 7, 20251 yr Almost like Howie listen to his coaches and players like idk Cam Jurgens who Kelce even stated he told them he really liked don’t think that played a part in the decision to draft him?
February 7, 20251 yr But the credit to Rosie I see in a different light it appears. I see him as giving his aggressions previous errors and mindset as reasons launching to success.
February 7, 20251 yr I credit Rosie so very much. But not because I believe he was the driving force behind identifying and teaching Baun. His greatness was stepping back and hiring Fangio. Letting him do his job. So Rosie could do his own and make that happen.
February 7, 20251 yr But yeah…still do see some of the worst situations this team overcame being Rosie decisions. Bradberry as the starting CB…was all Rosie.

Lmao worst take ever he was offered more money two years ago 😂… Johnson overvalued himself and screwed himself out of money got this CJ completely backwards Howie offers him more money two years ago to stay in Philly Johnson says no signed for less in Detroit fails and comes crying back to take less money on deal then he was offered by Howie to stay originally. Not to mention if Howie would have signed him to the bigger deal two years ago and it played out like Detroit and he stayed hurt you would be the guy on here talking how Howie overpayed for Johnson who can’t even stay healthy
February 7, 20251 yr I love this Rosie. Exactly what we need from him. Great at what he does. But he isn’t the football guy…to make all those decisions. Hire people to do their jobs…he trusts and acts on. Then boom!

Nothing at all wrong with this…in fact it’s exactly what I’m applauding from Rosie.
February 7, 20251 yr Think Rosie really been stepping back listening to the guys he hired to make these decisions for him concerning football. Drafts have massively improved as a result. I love it. Think it makes Rosie all the better GM. What we need.
February 7, 20251 yr Becton was Stoutland he was the one that seen him and thought he could play inside been stated numerous times

Rosie knows the league. Got a fairly tight bead on what’s going on around each team. Can wheel and deal to make whatever occur. Can massage the cap as needed. These are his strengths. Got plenty of them. Need those to be a GM. But he always seems to fail the more he oversteps these.

February 7, 20251 yr Stout can coach the heck out of whomever. But he’s very aware of historical football. Great at identifying key traits others miss. But was a fact about not historical reasons to believe a 6’7” guy would convert to G…add in never played the position.

February 7, 20251 yr Just now, Bleedinggreen93 said: Like a decade late to the party maybe pre Chip Kelly Howie was to hell bent on proving himself. I actually think Stout has been key here, Stout never been a coach just to be a puppet for some non football pocket protector guy like Rosie. Rosie learned how to develop and manage their relationship. Building block to Fangio.

But once ego gets in the way Rosie was going to show him. And he did. We suffered. He paid Bradberry even more to start last year and this year.
February 7, 20251 yr Listening to Fangio.... giving credit to Howie having dealt him a great hand this year with all the talent he has to work with. You can tell with him it's not this complicated scheme... he has the talent and he knows how to matchup and force the offense to try and beat us.

Lmao it isn’t different Schwartz was in charge of the defense in 2016 and on completely the same thing…. Gannon had complete control over the defense in 21-22 Howie has done numerous times gotten players the coaches have wanted easiest example Bradham Schwartz guy from buffalo mind you Howie also signed Tulloch another Schwartz guy back then
