He paid Bradberry even more to start last year and this year. CBS always have made more money then S lol Look at all the WRs making more then Barkley your trying to compare apples to oranges when your using contracts from different positions

Gannon had complete control over the defense in 21-22 Howie has done numerous times gotten players the coaches have wanted easiest example Bradham Schwartz guy from buffalo mind you Howie also signed Tulloch another Schwartz guy back then Ignoring S so bad….he was forced to address it with a trade. Great trade for Ceddy Duce….i guess. But only happened because it was so glaringly ignored. Bradberrry position terribly planned for. Think Maddox was the actual plan. So fantastic he made the move when he fell in our laps like that.

Which was probably what happened with CGJ When 32 teams don't give you the money you want... or not even close, that's all the agent. I mean you have 33 guys that set the market...ONE AGENT & 32 GMs. If the player has to sign for way less...it's obvious which one of the 33 was the issue. Or in a case like Reddick where his agent fired him... sometimes it's the player who just doesn't get it

Your not ignoring a position if you are making a trade for a player odds are Howie already has trade plans in place for guys if needed

Bradberry was a terrible resigning. Ceedy was a desperate need. Anyway you look at it better to over paid the guy was such a difference maker than lock in on the bad option costing more. But once he paid Bradberry…it limited options.

It was the complete right move by Howie not to overpay a player and still got him back cheaper And that isn’t even brining in the fact Johnson was hurt almost all of last season

In a few cases those egos hurt the client ...CGJ was a perfect example back in 2023.
February 7, 20251 yr Can we image if Howie overpaid Johnson for him to be hurt most of the season lol our CB looked terrible… it would be the same narrative oh we over paid Johnson and couldn’t make Bradbury work lmao

In the end he had to settle last season. So the move was still there to be made…if Rosie wasn’t heck bent on the proving exactly the facts you’re pointing out. Great…Rosie was correct about that market. But that doesn’t help us.

I mean 32 GMs ... if you can't get one to pay what you want.. not rocket science that you are in the wrong

We lost out.

But was a good fit and need we were missing.
February 8, 20251 yr I guess I can say with regard to CGJ.... Jerry Jones messed up... or John Lynch messed up.. or Howie plus 29 other guys.. Or... it's 100% on the agent. To me very simple... one guy doesn't agree with the other 32...he is the issue. End of story.

So he couldn’t even just take the Detroit offer with us. Rosie was proving his point…he was right and aware of the market. He won. That way everybody could see it.

So we were the most glaringly obvious team that needed him. Had the locker room culture to handle him too.

But sure…Rosie fixed his mistake. Hopefully. Sad truth was Ceedy stunk that last SB. Nowhere to be seen. So can’t do that again.
February 8, 20251 yr With Reddick I didn't realize he was that much of a problem. Maybe with the year he had in 2022 and being a Temple guy, I didn't want to believe it. But we see things come out ...how often do you see an agency firing a client.... without any scandal??? He must a serious whack job! Dude cost himself 8 figures last year and who knows how much for his career. If he even plays again.

Can you image us signing Johnson to 16m a year for him to be hurt all of last season man the amount you would be ripping Howie for the terrible signing

Gotta get done what the team needs done some how. Any how. But locked out the return after he tested the market thoroughly. Rosie wasn’t there to take advantage last season. Signed and paid Bradberry.

But let it play out then. Once the market showed it wasn’t there…then work out the deal…there to be made instead of taking that nothing from Detroit.
