March 15, 20251 yr Author We won't know alot until around pick 22. I still would prefer moving back out of round 1,but that is just me

Clearly we’re going to give him the ten mill before we ever were to Becton. Really would like it to be more like 8.5 mil. I think Becton would have stayed here for $8.5. I don't think the Eagles were going to pay. They seem to be in the mode of getting picks. I think if Fred Johnson drew the same $$ as big V and that kid we drafted 1st round in 2019... then possibly we would have offered Becton something. Also seems like they are ok playing musical chairs with RG. Barring Steen dominating, they probably need a different RG next year too

Brought in Kenyon with the trade. Keegan looks like a good developing prospect to me also. Can bring Cabo Driscoll that can handle the job…as well as Toth.

March 15, 20251 yr 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said: So what are you giving Cam? Well... since he has a cheap year left for them to leverage... my guess is they offer the " extension " that shows him up in the top 2 or 5 centers Humphrey = $18 mil Dalman = $14 mil Ragnow = $13.5 mil Cushenberry = $12.5 mil McCoy = $12 mil Biadasz = $10 mil Kelly = $9 mil I think decent chance they pay him over the $14 mil per.  I'd be shocked if he was below Biadasz.  Most likely between Mccoy and Dalman. They could make it look good to be over Dalman because they still have this year at $5.346 mil to use to lower the cap hit by absorbing the bonus.

Ouch….thats steep
March 16, 20251 yr 10 mil a year contract for a C is some legit money. I would prefer a home team discount of 8.5 mil. But was accepting of 10 mil per. Over 14….getting pricey there.
March 16, 20251 yr 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said: Ouch….thats steep No it's not... you keep forgetting he has a year left... you pay today's price for 2026 extension.  4 years 47 mil. Not steep at all for a pro bowl C.Â

Ham... he was pro bowl C... with new money you gotta pay him top 5 of " today's " market at least.  His extension doesn't start until 2026. Kelce was getting $14 mil in 2023... You don't think Cam would get it in 2026 to 2028 or 2029?Â

Over 14….getting pricey there. 10 mil per year is currently 6th ... he was pro bowl.  The " currently " 6 is old money...you understand that new money goes higher than current contracts because if you give him 10...then you want 8.5... in 2 years when the extension kicks in....he will be about the 15th- 20th on the list. That doesn't fly. I know he isn't one of your guys...and you puff your chest about Baun and Milton both getting overpaid...doesn't mean you get to rip off everyone you don't like Milton as the 3rd highest paid DT...not even close to pro bowl level last year...but you don't want to pay a pro bowl C top 6 at his position now...where the extension wouldn't kick in for another year?  How does that make sense?
March 16, 20251 yr Creed Humphrey, whom was my guy I was super high o.n that draft, is an outlier. Almost gave up just disregard his contract. A C way up making 18 mil. That isn’t Cam territory.
March 16, 20251 yr You are trying to just pull out of your arse something about me not liking Cam…because there is nowhere else you are pulling that from. Only area is I just don’t really want to pay him over 14 mil…I’d have to really be considering moving on to another option at that price. He isn’t best C…he’s above average C. 10 mil….if you take out the extreme of Creed’s contract outlier that makes him top five paid C. Which is real good pay and level for him to have reached at this point.Â
March 16, 20251 yr Becton on the open market as a full on free agent G got 10 mil. So it’s obviously a good chunk of money.
March 16, 20251 yr This is the last year of his contract for Cam. So the new money kicks in next season….you know…not talking about all the new cash he’ll get in his pocket right away now.

You have Mailata and Dickerson making $21 and 22 million per.. you want to pick in Cam at less than half the price on extension that starts 2 years later?  First year at the position and he makes the pro bowl?  He will get his money and Howie will do it in a way that doesn't hurt the cap. You don't get a team of players that are happy to be here by being cheap on the guys you lock up long term.  Â
