While squeeezing all that out for Cam….can we just get few millions over toward Blankenship..some how…some way? 21 mil for a top paid S….we aren’t going to pay him that. That’s where the lead of the market is currently. Can we get him like 5 mil maybe at least here? Is that asking too much?

Was Blankenship pro bowl?

You just gotta have a line somewhere….at over 14….I’m looking towards the next. Willing to concede 10….considering all the positives.

You are Cam's agent...are you taking 5 years 10 mil per... or waiting until free agency?

And if he hits FA? We’ll get comp pick compensation for the loss. If we did lose him. Which isn’t a guarantee. I mean you already talking paying him over 14 mil…let him go to FA if that’s where negotiations are at…what are you so worried somebody is going to pay him so much more?

18 mil per is currently the top average per year at C...2025 rates.    Other guys will push that envelope...multiple times before 2029 ( if you are looking at a 4 year extension)

You can't offer half of that ....and assume to lock up a pro bowl 3rd year C long term.  You can offer that for one year....which would be dumb for the agent being the tag # is way higher.  On the open market Cam could make a lot more...being it would be 2026 rates.

Offer the long term at $14 mil per for the new money..that's currently right at the 2nd highest level and by the time you get to 2029 it's probably right in the middle.   You can redo the contract before then anyway.

Yeah if we are comparing him to Creed Humphrey? At those moments we’ll just have to let him talk to others on the open market of FA.

Then you don't lock him up and you choose to lose him after next year.

Williams got 26 mil per.... not even a starter.  Half the snaps getting paid stupid money.    Cam will get at least half...if not more.  Imagine he gets another pro bowl.   2 more than Williams.   No shot his agent is taking $10 mil for long term where he can't get more than that until 2030?   No shot!

What’s coming there is….Jalen Carter. Starting DT…we will need to run to him with 40 mil. You sticking by you gotta pay Cam half of what the DT got paid?

He’s been understood as a leader of our Secondary

If the comparison already is to what you’ll get in the open market as a FA? Then you might as well let that happen if you already are that far along with the money.

Jalen Carter is a level player that all comes into play..once again. With him…you just gotta be watching Chase and Micah….Carter is getting more!!!! I said we’d run with 40…. I don’t think it’s going to just be 40!!!

If you want to lock him up long term,  then do it.  We all know...hopefully we all realize it by now....you lock up your players after year 3...and it saves you big time via the cap.  You use the last year of the rookie contract as leverage. In Cam's case it's actually perfectly set up like that since it's almost all salary that can be absorbed into the signing bonus and still have a chance to reduce the cap hit this year.

Again...it depends if saving pennies is more important than locking up your line long term.  I believe the Eagles will like to have that entire left side locked up.  It's been a staple for them to lock up their draft picks early especially the pro bowl players at the positions that won't cost much.

Just how close to 5 year 250 mil will Carter be?

Ham....listen... Humphrey makes 18 mil now.     I'm saying the 14 mil number now...being locked in to 2029 ...5 years from now...that's 4 mil lead than your boy Creec Humphrey.  . That's about 22% less than he makes now... locked up for 5 years....but also cheaper because year 1, remains at $5 mil.    You get a 4 year 56 mil extension....which had the total money from 2025-2029 at 61 mil... that's 12.2 mil per....that's 5.8 mil less than Creed Humphrey... 33% less... but locked in for 5 years while other guys not as good as Cam will be making more than that 18 mil Humphrey makes now.

You understand what " extension " means and how it absorbs the current year's salary into the entire equation?

At the moment where would $12.2 mil fall among centers?  6th .

If your client was a pro bowl player in his 3rd year in the league but first year at the position he was drafted for... would you settle for the current 6th highest paid rate...and lock that in during his prime for 5 years, until be reaches 30, where his pay should come down?

You think that's being a good agent?

Wow... $31 mil is the top guy at his position now... you want to pay him $50 mil next year?

So you can pay Carter $5 mil in 2026, about $15 mil in 2027... tag him and pay him mid 20s in 2028.... that's 40 mil ...total.    tag him again in 2029 pay high 30s.

So 4 years and less than 80 mil...

Idk... how close to 5 year 250 mil do you think?

Are you sure?  I mean " Rosie" took a risk...is he mature enough yet for you?  Is he in shape yet?

I mean... it's good you don't go from one extreme to the next!

So 31 is the top guy at his position.  You have him locked up 2 more years AFTER THIS YEAR... for about 20 mil total...and you are running to him with 40 mil per?

When does the 40 mil per start?  I mean 33% over the current market highest paid salary.    It's a nice contract for a guy that is so immature... lol.

Btw... I absolutely think you will see the report....40mil per extension.

With absorbing the 5th year option... he can get a 6 year 160 mil deal.... which comes out to the reality of about 26.6 mil per.

This is what I'm trying to explain to you with Cam.   Same principle...using the final year of rookie deal that lowers the real number....but the " extension " looks like $14 mil per.

And I think both would be good deals for the Eagles... when taking into consideration future increase in both salary and team cap.

They can set up Nolan the same way, but he has a cheaper 5th year option,  they may be able to wait...or use that to their advantage.

Blankenship isn't going to break the bank...that's why they would look to keep him over CGJ. ..who was already reported was going to ask for more at some point.

These 3 year deals they set up ...have the out... guys they want to lock up for sure, they offer longer term deals.

Don't be fooled by Baun... his deal will change one way or another.

Yep…I wanted him a year before he entered the draft…still liking him! He’s delivered on being the goods! Others ..not as much.

He should be the first Eagles player to be extended into the 2030s.

Ceedy Duce was pretty likely a Rosie makeup deal…that wasn’t Fangio’s decision. Already decided before Fangio…like Huff.

Wow..that ending to the PGA was so tight. Man can’t believe Spaun left it short…dead on line…for the win…ohhhh…three hole playoff tomorrow.
