https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HuffBr00.htm That's where he should be playing. The clueless, hapless Jets took him out of his element

https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2024/3/21/24107870/eagles-sign-parris-campbell-former-giants-wide-receiver-free-agency-roster-news-nfl Siriani know Paris can play. His injuries kept him out alot(and could again and why we got Parker who is a different type WR). I doubt he would be asked to do alot, but more than he did with the Gnats. We shall see what transpires. I suspect he will be a returner and rotational slot with Parker, with Parker used more around the GL and Paris between the 20's I still would like to draft Ainais Smith. If he pans out,no need to bring either of them back, but Siri knows Paris. A little excited to see what the new OC can do and if he demands Hurts throws more than he is used to

Think you are missing some names but it’s all going to be dependent on how guys perform.

Rodger’s the suspended CB from last year actually played well for the colts before hand

Hennessy another good player that was injured last year

Blankenship though I’d image we look to resign him

Dont think any of the trio of Milton/Sweat/White return.

Parker/Campbell wouldn’t surprise me if they have a fools gold year as the 4th-5th option in the passing game Wouldn’t bank on them.

Lmao Smith is set to be a FA but obviously he will return.

also can’t image us spending all that much in 2025 either

So let's look.   Say all of Sweat, Milton, White,  Blankenship...don't return.   We gotta fill up those spots...  I would imagine we gotta sign some free agents.

Hennesy... he absolutely could get signed to a contract.  Will it be qualifying amount?  OL has higher value, will need to sign for decent $$... which probably means he played a lot this coming year.   Why not keep him?

Sweat... be lucky to get 4th round comp value.  I'm not sure that $20 mil per would qualify as 3rd round next year.

But I absolutely think we sign at least one of two stud free agents next year to offset anything good comp pick wise.

We should be carrying over some good money.  I don't think they will be afraid to spend it.  I can easily see a young DL or CB signed next year.  Probably a LB high enough to offset a 6th round comp pick we could get from any of the guys you mentioned.

Point is,I wouldn't count on any 2026 comp picks.  I think it was easy to see coming this year.  They has players from 2022 that were going to get overpaid.  They were a little tight on cap.

I don't see the same level of players leaving and they have more cap space next year.    Plus I don't think they weed happy with the 2023 results and the signings they did ( lower unqualified amounts that didn't offset the FAs they lost)

Is it possible...sure... just don’t see it.  It's why I like the Reddick trade guaranteeing a pick.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-draft-plenty-of-first-round-options-at-offensive-tackle-for-the-eagles/ar-BB1kS1JS  I suppose this is possible also, just seems a year too early to me unless the guy who pick can play at RG for as long as Lane is around, then take over. Decent draft for linemen. It will be interesting to see which way Howie goes. AT least it would put off the need for a true RG for a year

Cooper Beebe, iOL, Kansas State: At Kansas State Beebe (6-3, 322) played left guard, left tackle and right tackle. It looks like he can pretty much play four positions on the line but probably best translates as a guard at the next level. He’s an early-round target who could be a starting guard early. (Ryan Fowler)

Ainias Smith, WR, Texas A&M: A really exciting mid-round options, Smith (5-9, 190) could bring an exciting element to the Eagles’ slot receiver position. He had good production for the Aggies as a receiver and as a return man. He could be a good option to return kicks under the newly adopted NFL rule. (Ryan Fowler)                         2 guys on my mock I added Latu after I saw him on their visit page,so no credit there for me HAHAHA. IDK where Smith goes kind of fluid at the moment. He may not make it to round 5 where I have him however

The Eagles have scheduled their first top-30 visit with a linebacker, Texas A&M; standout Edgerrin Cooper, according to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network. The Birds also met with Cooper at the NFL combine, even sitting down to watch film with the staff and discussing his potential fit in the defense.  Seems like they spent alot of time with him,but would Howe pull the trigger on a LB???? Love the kid.

Okay, we've been singing his praises for a while now. Let's get down to business. Where did 'Junior Ax Man' land on our list of top linebacker prospects? We're glad you asked. Here's our ranking.

  1. Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M
  2. Marist Liufau, Notre Dame
  3. Cedric Gray, North Carolina
  4. Payton Wilson, N.C. State
  5. Nathaniel Watson, Mississippi State
  6. Junior Colson, Michigan
  7. Tyrice Knight, UTEP
  8. Jeremiah Trotter Jr., ILB, Clemson
  9. Jackson Sirmon, California
  10. J.D. Bertrand, Notre Dame        LB rankings per inside Iggles post combine

Would not surprise me if Howies uses a 2 and something else to move into round 1 with 2 selections. Conversely a move back from 22 could add additional picks. Either scenario would work well. Some nice players as I said through round 4. Moving back at 22 or 50/53 would add some more draft fire power. We know Howie loves to move around for guys he wants and he's good at it. So no clue which path we take, but we;re going to get some very nice players out of this draft. Really a loaded draft for all teams. Liatu? Cooper? Powers-Johnson? DeJean? OT cannot be rules out either(starting at RG). I'm excited to see what Howie dos this year, moreso that the last few because there are multiple ways to play this. So now that I covered all the bases I can "call it" HAHAHA

  • Author

Other than DeJean we have not had any DB's in. I find that disappointing. S and CB are needs and to not call any in seems rather foolish

Trying to re-shuffle my mock, but it's not working I like the one I have. Still time to change it. Latau(edge),Beebe(RG),Bullard(S),Wallace(LB) Smith(slot WR), Jones(CB) Boyd(DT),McLachlin(TE)

Could possibly see an OT/G pick in place of Beebe. Guy that can start at G and then take over for Lane later or with an injury. That would be the only change I see. That could go either way.Beebe is an excellent RG selection, but that's where he would stay. He isn't the hybrid type, even though he has played 4/5 positions However he is probably a better G than the OT/G would be,but he's not going to take over for Lane,so I believe a decision needs to be made here. I'm certain they won't take any of the guys I have anyway LOL. I'm going to stick with Beebe at 50. He can play other spots in a pinch although IDK how good he would be at the NFL level moving out of the RG spot. My belief is that Howie would like that spot fixed long term, thus I am keeping Beebe where he is and maybe grabbing a few OT UDFA's since there is no real hurry to replace Lane

Been researching Jarrian Jones more. This kid is being highly under rated. If he falls into 5 I would consider it a huge steal
