I’m feel confident most people…and all Eagles fans understand that the league made huge efforts to cheat and assist Mahomes in the first matchup. I had not a shread of doubt if they don’t call that ticky tack foul on Bradbury…Hurts was taking us down the field to at least tie and take it to OT. Would have even scored a TD and won it in regulation? That was even very possible that day. Think about how those are missing stats at the end. Another 50 plus yards and some version of points. Very possibly even being 2-0 versus Mahomes in the SBs. On an even playing field….or should I say non-doctored playing service to be more accurate? Who believes Mahomes had much of a chance to even be 1-1 against Hurts?
So Hurts didn’t get that final drive stats added to this SB comparison against Mahomes the first SB. Then this second SB most of the positive stats overwhelmingly for Mahomes were at the end…meaningless garbage time massive stat boost. While Mahomes was putting up the overwhelming majority of his positive stats this last SB….Hurts actually was taken out of the game instead. Think about that factor in the comparison. League cheating and manipulating for Mahomes first SB. Then second SB Mahomes completely relying on garbage end game big stat production. While Hurts was pulled…from the SB. Is there even a shadow of a doubt Hurts would have added more yardage and scoring?

agree.. the league made efforts to help Andy Reid.

Again I was asking what I am missing lol nothing wrong with comparisons but not like it’s apples to apples lol…..

If you are doing comparisons who has the better OL, WRs, RBs???? Who is facing the better secondary, pass rush????

Idk lot more then just the base stats Hurts was great he won the SB but if we flipped QBs does anything change???? Still think Philly dominated KC

Mahomes has had the same O the entire time by a coach arguably the best ever. We had an unbelievable pass rush first SB season. But Goodell Dr the field. Was our pass rush first SB a huge advantage? Did it even play a factor? Did our D tackle well first SB? Did our coverage play very soft? Honestly I counted the catches that first SB that were even close to coverage contesting…it was embarrassingly minimal number.

Imagine the narrative... Sirianni beats AR the last 3 meetings, including 2 in the SB?   Definitely the field conditions etc were there for Reid IMO.

Reid was great for us this year... his ignorance on the left side of the OL got Sweat and Milton way overpaid and got us some prime comp picks!

Mahomes has been getting coached by such an excellent O mind and teacher his whole career. Hurts has been learning a different O every year. And not to even be negative towards Siri….but he was a first time HC that had never run his O or called plays.

the league really has got out of its way to forward the narrative of Reid being some great O mind.

AR made our DC look like he was learning football 101 the first matchup. Rewatch…or just think back to what their O did to our D. We had plenty of talent on D. Yet it was Pacheco rushing on us and short easy open completions all day long. Kelce and JuJu… over and over. How wide a coaching divide was there to dominate so easily with those three against such a talented D we possessed? One of the greatest SB coaching performances I’d say. Against a DC that was given his own team.

That’s nonsense opinion. League clearly was working for the Brady rules…and turned to the Mahomes rules. AR has always been a great O mind. Not just understanding the X and Os, self scoring awareness that has the wisdom of how to adjust. But he has what can’t be questioned as a very proven O scheme he’s developed.

I got us trading back with Seattle and picking up 50, 82, and 92 (we know if love the 3rd rd) 50 Jayden Higgins WR 64 Carson Schwasinger LB 82  Omarr Norman-Lott DT 92 Kevin Winston Jr S 96 Tate Ratledge RG 134 Antwaun Powell-Ryland Edge 161 Jake Briningstool TE 164 O'Donnell Fortune CB 165 Kahel Mullings RB 168 Quinn Ewers QB

I really like my mock draft too lol

Why would Seattle give all that up when they need so much? Makes no sense

Mahomes is so naturally gifted. But if you actually look and watch detailed? You see how he isn’t perfect. Over and over again AR trying to teach him what to do…that he’s actually really struggled with learning and implementing. First drive of the first SB matchup…AR’s gameplan shows exactly how he easily dissected how to complete b17ch Gannon’s top ranked D. Mahomes got away from that a drive or two…only thing ever stopped them that day. All they did was just go back to AR’s original gameplan and everything was so easy. Pure coaching. We never stopped that AR SB gameplan with our super talented D.

I don’t wish to take anything away from our D. But….there was no reason Mahomes forced that interception to DeJean. Mahomes rolled out and we had nobody at all pressuring him. Bad unforced interception. All credit to DeJean for returning that for a TD.

Mahomes actually wasn’t facing pressure that forced him into sacks…or short gain tackles by our Dline every time even. Four or five times Mahomes actually wasn’t pressured into him making a bad move right into our D. Pocket was there…and he flushed on his own right into our D….not even choosing a quality direction.

Spags is a great DC... really carried the Chiefs the last few years, along with the athletic ability of Mahomes.

Any other QB we have a shutout in the SB, which would have been awesome to be the first D to do it.   Just zero answers from the Chiefs O mind vs our defense ... Mahomes and Worthy just creating 22 points on their own at the end.

The comparison isn’t really there between Siri and AR though. AR has taken the Chiefs there most every season as a defining figure making it happen. Siri stepped  back away from playcalling letting Steichen lead us there for our O. Then second time Moore. Siri is learning and growing developing his playbook and scheme. AR was further ahead in scheme and playbook coming in his first year as a HC than Siri is today.

No doubt Chiefs coaching is top notch. That’s what Hurts thrived against. Spags can’t stop Hurts. Even turning our biggest advantage into a hinderance…we’re built to rush the ball…yet Hurts not just didn’t have that advantage against Spags….it was a weakness he had to overcome. Hurts overcame being one dimensional against such a top D mind.

Agree... due to Sirianni only being a head coach since 2021... any person with a normal mind knows you can only compare his coaching from then... imagine 4 meetings ... and Siri winning the last 3, including 2 in the SB ... but that darn slippery field and the league looking to keep the AR narrative.

wow.. just thinking about it really bugs me... we have to sit here and hear all the praise for a dude that couldn't manage the clock or run the ball for 14 years here... then this stud QB falls in his lap saving him... and our current coach who has the best winning percentage of all time here ... just wins... and that slippery field changing the whole narrative.  Really frustrating when you think of it ... really we should be the dynasty talk at the moment, building from winning 2 out of the last 3.

It is what it is... gotta do a bedder job dare!   Times ours!

So I give you AR plan that had was his brilliant fix of moving Tuney to T…didn’t work against us. Before he moved Thuney to T though….their O was really struggling. So the brilliant forced fix  by AR that worked against everybody else to get them to the SB…wasn’t going to work against us. But you are really going to kill AR over that? You didn’t even want to retain Sweat. So I would assume you would believe Tuney could have handled the pass rusher you didn’t think very highly of that took a paycut to stay. Their other T options stunk and wouldn’t have performed better. But…I give you that Tuney at G against Milton would have almost certainly have completely changed his impact on that game.

This particular SB you could really see the difference in coaching.   Really all season keeping the focus.. just elite level coaching from the Eagles this year.   2 drops and half the offense injured in a 100 degrees ...or it would have been a perfect season.

Just brilliant strategy and overall planning from Siri this year... true leadership keeping the focus despite all the distractions from the outside

I think you are just barely tapping into a very fair point about Siri versus AR. AR knows how to teach, came from the fantastic scheme O with the wisdom of so much football knowledge to know how to adjust to most any situation. Those are Siri’s weaknesses. But….Siri’s strengths are plenty in the other areas. He’s competitive coach that got his players to buy into being unselfish sacrificing to win.

HC cost us the ATL game by being a bonehead. We debate how much control Siri has been a factor over our O each game and season. What isn’t debatable is Siri clearly had top say deciding on our gameplan and script to begin games. We were the worst first quarter scoring team in the league. AR first SB script was perfect. We didn’t put up points this SB to start off.

My complaint was we actually were better O than we showed most of the season. I believe we were always capable of scoring more. Dialed things back to more conservatively focus on not losing. Totally believed we could have opened our O up more …that wasn’t our O ceiling at all in my mind.
That strategy worked and we won. Siri got AJ, Smitty and Hurts to go along with it. Which is a heck of a coaching feat…while crediting the character of those players.

Gameplan strategy? Fantastic O that produced the least points in the entire league first quarter!
