I don’t see it. All Fangio and his guys is what I credit for everything with our D. Fangio took the 31st ranked pass D and made them elite. Nolan hadn’t done anything…great season. Sweat you didn’t appreciate…was a rock. Dean had done nothing…looked great. Baun he picked off the scrap heap and transformed into an elite playmaker. Plan…strategy…self scouting…adjustments? Great brilliant job of coaching.

Great brilliant job of coaching. Sorry but that’s all Fangio’s credit. Just can’t see how Siri really played much of a role there…other than he listened to Vic about giving more hitting physical practice needed to make it happen.
April 7, 20251 yr Can’t bash AR about running the ball and praise Siri so much when the whole stadium was chanting the obvious to Siri to run the dang ball. That’s pretty bad. Great knowledgable Eagles fans we are…for sure. But the whole stadium teaching your HC…not something I praise Siri over.
April 7, 20251 yr In fact…it was our Oline that came directly to Siri organized pleading to run the ball more. That’s been factually acknowledged by all sources as what happened.

April 7, 20251 yr Moore had to design and create a brand new scheme in one season. He had to mesh what Siri had…with his own. Wow…that was an amazing job by Moore on that part. I can’t credit Siri so much there…actually made it so much more difficult for Moore. But exactly what we’ll reap benefits from. For us it’s all about developing Siri’s scheme so far. From his first day as HC..to now…huge leap. Embarrassingly so I can’t even omit.

The huge leap was just to get us up to an average level pro O scheme.

Keeping the focus from outside distractions? When he started arguing with our fans he was hearing about questioning his playcalling. That’s was one of the worst HC focus blocking out everything else examples I can think of in NFL history.
April 7, 20251 yr I praise the growth so much from Siri this past season. I really am not trying to just bash him. Just pointing out the obvious drawbacks from having him as first time HC for Hurts…versus the grizzled vet that came from better O scheme environments that Mahomes has enjoyed instead. No first time HC could possibly be on AR level he’s been at with the Chiefs. Arguably the best alltime. Also just can’t not correct such inaccurate sourcing to praise Siri for. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have plenty of great strengths. In fact his strengths I believe are in the areas AR has been weak. So praise Siri …but let’s credit him for what he actually is responsible for to be praise worthy.
April 7, 20251 yr Siri’s scheme and gameplans haven’t been a source of our teams strength under him. Neither has his teaching, self scouting or adjustments(in game or throughout the seasons). These are areas our team has been forced to overcome from him. This is factually proven through a plenty large enough sample size by now.
April 7, 20251 yr No way our O should have been anywhere near worst scoring team in the first quarter. Didn’t even score a TD in the first quarter through how many games? That’s pretty much all HC. He is totally in control over game plan and script to begin games…along with having his team ready to play at KO. What area was our 2024 team weaker at than that? Our weakest element was all HC job responsibility and decision making.
April 7, 20251 yr 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said: Mahomes has had the same O the entire time by a coach arguably the best ever. We had an unbelievable pass rush first SB season. But Goodell Dr the field. Was our pass rush first SB a huge advantage? Did it even play a factor? Did our D tackle well first SB? Did our coverage play very soft? Honestly I counted the catches that first SB that were even close to coverage contesting…it was embarrassingly minimal number. Same O who was his WRs they were the same? How about the OL they have changed a ton? RBs were the same? He lost Pacheco got hunt back went back to the other guy and they weren’t even the same RBs from his first SB… Saying he had the same O is false he had the same Scheme but the player vastly changed…. Hurts had far more of the same players v Mahomes. So again it isn’t apples to apples… supporting cast goes to Hurts, years with the same players goes to Hurts… Mahomes does get the edge in coaching but that’s about it. Again to me Hurts played great but again if you replaced Hurts with Mahomes nothing changes Philly still dominates… we were the far superior team
April 7, 20251 yr Were we capable of putting up double nickels most every game with the 2024 O personnel? I think we were. That O…doesn’t score in the first quarters? That’s not a HC carrying our team with great gameplanning and having them ready to play. It’s embarrassingly terrible job by the HC. Sorry…but how else can that be viewed? He was a hinderance in that aspect our team had to overcome.

Again to me Hurts played great but again if you replaced Hurts with Mahomes nothing changes Philly still dominates… we were the far superior team I clearly was talking about coaching and scheme. AR tops for any QB to be under. Siri first time HC. Hurts changed O every season but one. Just no way that isn’t a huge benefit for Mahomes over Hurts. I still would say Hurts has ever received AR level teaching, playcalling and scheme benefits Mahomes always has enjoyed. Hurts started off with Quez and Reagor as starters…relying completely on Smitty…but rookie Smitty. Mahomes had the greatest TE of all time and the best WR in the league with the Cheetah. Good Oline also. Dual RBs. Mahomes massive advantage there. Not even close.
April 7, 20251 yr What could have been better situation for Mahomes than to begin with Kelce who is absolutely brilliant at understanding how to get open in every situation? But not just that to carry Mahomes while teaching him…the greatest best fastest WR? Throw short to Tyreek and he makes huge plays. Or just chuck it to the wide open speedster downfield. Most ideal QB friendly situation I can even imagine.

But what happened when Hurts chucked it downfield or threw short for those two starters to make plays? Couldn’t even catch the dang ball. Unbelievably pathetic YAC creation from those two fast athletic WR.
April 7, 20251 yr I volunteer Hurts can’t chuck it deep to Cheetah like Mahomes did so much. Those two together are a much better fit. But let’s really look at things here. Mahomes hasn’t been brilliant relying on his unbelievable gift of football knowledge and IQ. He hasn’t been reading Ds and adjusting like Manning and Brees. Totally relying on playmakers to make it happen. I’m actually going as far as pointing out he’s struggled to be coachable. AR really even hasn’t gotten him to do what answers he’s just being given. SB AR had the blueprint…with quick short throws. First drive. Easy. Then Mahomes reverted. As soon as Mahomes just did what he was told easy open completions all day long. AR was giving him the answers…yet Mahomes and their O struggled plenty of that regular season because Mahomes couldn’t adjust to just not relying on chucking to Tyreek.
April 7, 20251 yr Now Hurts has not been relying on reading ads as his strength either. But he clearly wasn’t receiving the coaching or answers. Huge difference. He shows all signs of being coachable. But wasn’t getting it. Clearly relying on Kelce instead of developing our franchise QB. He wasn’t considered our franchise QB in 2021 though. Siri didn’t have a scheme. Or let’s just say now there near ARs anyway. Where you call a play and the coach has expectations for the whole O to adjust and execute accordingly. No way this shouldn’t be an NFL O expectation. Not just for a QB…it’s the coach job to make clear what will happen in every scenerio for the entire O.
April 7, 20251 yr AR proven tested scheme he has developed from the best O minds ever in the game for years. Just can’t compare Siri’s. Wasn’t ever why Siri was hired. Don’t want to go further seeming to bash Siri. It’s just undebateably simple fact…arguably the best stemming from a long line of top O minds developing for decades that AR has improved on. No first time HC could compare. Heck I’m saying not many coaches ever after long careers even compare in fact.
April 7, 20251 yr Don’t want to Siri bash. But frankly he came in with very below average scheme. Clearly a weakness for him. Seems obvious to me. But to turn things on a brighter note: hired a young HC. So he needed development and experience. Which can’t imagine he could have received better than what he’s been given with the Eagles. A bunch of different coaches come through to learn from. Players. GM. Lurie. Playoffs every season. Playoffs against Brady. SB against AR and Spags. So let’s just all accept the obvious of where he started. Then you actually grasp the benefits and growth of what we have in him going forward. Young, green, immature without the brilliance of X and Os. Is he maturing and growing as a man and young HC? I’d absolutely say he has..and still will. That we’ve suffered through. He’s not so young, inexperienced and as immature anymore. His scheme sucked. Sorry..but that is fixable. That is exactly what we have been developing and improving on for him. Who would argue he doesn’t have a better scheme today than first game as a HC? Piece by piece it’s evolving and improving.
April 7, 20251 yr Maturing and developing a scheme were always fixable elements if he could survive long enough. He’s light years ahead in these areas for next season than where he started.
April 7, 20251 yr I’m saying appreciate the improvements and the outlook for the future. You gotta realistically acknowledge where he started to see it though.
April 7, 20251 yr Siri’s positives have always been numerous. He has plenty of connections throughout the league. Respected by most as always heading up. Competitive fire unmatched. Players coach on top level. Really has his team faith and confidence rolling the dice on being aggressive. Don’t underestimate this characteristic. Coaches chicken out shows lacking of belief in your players. He instills confidence believing in his players to get it done. That element goes to everything. Every play every game….Siri trusts in his guys to get it done. Much more than just converting one fourth down. It resonates in everything. Siri doesn’t just wilt facing adversity. He fights. He won’t give up. He won’t just accept failure. He keeps fighting to run the O through so many roadblocks he’s faced. Gave up playcalling to Steichen. But took it back after Steichen departed. Owner and GM made it clear to the whole world through media he was losing control of the O to be a CEO HC. It was Moores O. Didn’t take him long at all after Moore was hired to fight back for control of the O. He promptly reversed and stated well..no…we’re going to keep the elements that have worked and have Moores just add to.
April 7, 20251 yr My opinion that can’t possibly be confirmed is Siri started game two of taking back control of the O.
