You guys aren’t considering this near enough. It’s a big problem! What solution to that do you propose? Restructure the whole NFL Draft hierarchy? Bottomline you are tilting at windmills, and need a little serenity in your prayers.

But can just point to last season where I tried to let everybody know Jayden Daniels was a huge problem…immediately from when the Commanders drafted him. Everybody just shrugged shoulders…never even considered the Commanders as a possible threat. They beat us….and gave us a run all the way in the NFC Championship game.Giants aren’t looking to make any run to the SB. But them possessing such an elite pass rusher can damage our season in a heartbeat. You are describing the very essence of why the game is a game. It has variables and uncertainties. It is a roller coaster ride intended to trill and surprise everyone who rides it.

But I’m breaking things down much more specifically at our two year contending window laid out right in front of us. Lane and Saquan have two more years in them. Several other factors….but those two players are key enough to stay real focused on being all about winning now.You are overthinking what is at its heart a game … and in the process taking the fun and uncertainty and surprise out of the game. Sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

Only way this can be accomplished is Lurie putting up all this up front money. Not just signing bonus money…but owners have to bank all guaranteed money. All true. How/why would you have them do it differently?

But for some reason you don't want to extend Cam ...a pro bowl player... entering year 4... to where his contract is peanuts to the players at his position. We absolutely differ.Just because you have cap space doesn't mean you overpay players. When has that won any organization a title in the cap era?But you still don't see the value in locking up your young core early at under market price?Never said I didn’t want to extend Cam. Is a huge difference there. Want to extend and keep him. I’m just more on the take emotions out of business. All factors surrounding him …I draw a line at some point. I want to keep him which says he’s a good player. Which we all know since I actually get detailed about not wanting to overpay a very replaceable player will end up being spun by you as me believing Cam is trash …or something to that effect. You know….the usual. His position just got its biggest possible market financial boost. Fresh off that one of a kind position top player, Creed Humphrey signing. C market isn’t blowing up in inflation soon. Instead it just hit its high moment boost. You can apply my logic to most any field…not just football. When a market so obviously just hits it clear peak….that never is the time to jump in. Not Milton…Cam is the example of overpaying. He got us. But I’m factoring in very much just how easily we could replace him at C. Heck clearly we could just move Dickerson over to C and replace him with a G. G or C….two of the cheapest easiest to acquire positions that we also have a great track record of success with. Oh yeah…worth mentioning one more time …….Stout!!!!!!!!!

At least you attempted some form of a case for your logic. You did a nice job of very knowingly manipulating the numbers here. C being the lowest paid position compared to DT the hottest rising paid position. With this mindset Saquan you wouldn’t hesitate to ink for 55 mil. Shouldn’t the Offensive Player of the Year be the highest paid player? Instead it was a huge deal to at him…what? 12 mil per year was considered a massive payday for the best player in all of football this past season. 1/4 of being paid the top money.

May 4, 20251 yr Milton should be such an easy case to make against my point of view. Why it’s disappointing from No Mas here. Clearly overpaid. He benefitted from his surrounding with us and a terrible FA class. I’d have been furious had we extended him ourselves for that money. But the Pats aren’t us…at all. They’ve completely self destructed. The only thing they really had going for them WAS money to spend. I only could have formed my opinion favorably over that signing because it was made by the Pats. If you skip every surrounding detail specifically about the Milton signing No Mas would easily be on the correct side of things.
May 4, 20251 yr The specific details absolutely are crucial sitting Miltons contract. All those are exactly why I favor that decision by them. Pats falling from grace from the most dominant run in NFL history…..to arguably the worst culture in the league currently. Weakest FA class.Young hard working good character player just peaking.Grabbing the organizational changing piece of winning culture.

And $45 mil when you add the $15 mil for 2029 ( his age 30 season)Drew Dalnag = $42.64 mil... 3 yearsFrank Ragnow = $30.4mil ... 2 yearsLloyd Cushenberry = 33.3 mil ... 3 yearsEric McCoy = 43.7 mil ... 3 yearsTyler Biadasz = 25.6 mil ... 3 yearsRyan Kelly = 17.7 mil ... 2 yearsAaron Brewer = 16.2 mil ... 2 yearsRobert Hainsey = 20 mil ... 3 yearsCompare Cam being locked in for 5 years .. to these guys. While we also know the prices are going up. We also know that it's not an easy position to fill. Because we should have basic football knowledge to know that chemistry matters on the OL matters between C and QB. Why upset the apple cart and risk everything when you can lock in ( on a contending team that you constantly preach about overspending) at bargain price?Makes zero sense on your part. Unless you just don't understand the numbers... or just have an agenda vs Cam... or just need to die on a hill and not show flexibility to change your opinion as you get more information. But explain why you would have signed Cam to this deal now?Wrong. I’m saying is arguably the easiest position for us to fill. You seriously just made your case based on the chemistry formed over so many years of Cam playing C? Dude….you're losing your mind. We exactly just moved him to play C for the very first season.
