Goedert's cap hit was lowered?I can only speculate, but my gut tells me that Hurts (who definitely has been insured by Howie) injury did not have sufficient duration to qualify for a payout under the terms of the insurance policy. So no impact on the cap.Goedert’s injury probably wasn’t of sufficient duration either, so more than likely no impact.Bradberry’s injury was almost surely of sufficient duration to warrant a payout, BUT such a payout would only happen IF Howie had purchased a policy covering Bradberry. For the purposes of discussion let’s assume Howie did. How the Cap is impacted is a bit of a guess. Neither Spotrac nor OTC show retroactive adjustments at the player level, so my suspicion is that any and all insurance proceeds are included in the Cap Adjustments amount in the following year’s Cap.

You can't look at those numbers in comparison...because Milton only has 4 years....if you go further you assume too much....That logic makes no sense. If you compare the cost to purchase two homes and one had a 15 year mortgage and the other has a 30 year mortgage, do you only consider years 1-15 of the 30 year mortgage house?
May 4, 20251 yr Author https://247sports.com/Player/Baylor-Cupp-46050629/ released by KC. Injury bugged early in his career. Excellent blocker and very FAST for his size. Could be a TE/slot. Not that we need more TE's in camp, but this kid could be exceptional if he stays healthy. Also has some experience on defense. IDK I find him at least intriguing

In running plays the OL fires out with its first step rather than drop stepping backwards.Your logic is decades old and been proven inaccurate. Can even point to our own history of how our most effective rushing under Chip Kelly was when we put a third WR on the field. The D has to match personnel and it keeps them out of the box. So much harder to be sneaky disguising the D the more things are spread out…so obviously.

My wishes were for us to just unleash our O and tap into its potential. Siri’s approach did work. But because the playing scared approach worked….definitely doesn’t mean the go for it play with total confidence approach wasn’t going to. We could have just been putting up 50 on folks the whole time pretty much. That’s also a really safe approach to winning.
May 4, 20251 yr Siri’s defenders always have wins and such to prop him up. Even in a Super Season….so many of the areas where you see the most Siri related ‘hand.’….were our biggest flaws. Nobody can debate Siri controlled the scripted gameplan each week. It was atrocious! He took what should have been the best O in the entire league….and couldn’t score a TD on the first quarter for a ridiculous amount of games. Finished as the worst first quarter scoring team. He pulled back such an elite O….to play scared. Once finally unleashed when needed at the end….everything proved out exactly like I was saying the whole dang season. Our O just dominating and throwing up 50 points. So just consider for a single second how your opinion of loving pulling back our O capable of doing that the whole time was

Name a position you feel would be more difficult for us to replace than C? Not even like we’d be forced into using a first round pick…like all the other positions. Day two pick to be groomed under the best: Stout. That hit rate would be absolutely astounding….if we didn’t just hit and stick with the first guy we tried for every time. Kelce…sixth round. In the second round Cam after Dickerson. We could change C every five years.

But can just point to last season where I tried to let everybody know Jayden Daniels was a huge problem…immediately from when the Commanders drafted him. Everybody just shrugged shoulders…never even considered the Commanders as a possible threat. They beat us….and gave us a run all the way in the NFC Championship game. Giants aren’t looking to make any run to the SB. But them possessing such an elite pass rusher can damage our season in a heartbeat.

Several other factors….but those two players are key enough to stay real focused on being all about winning now.

The draft is over, no need to watch your hours of film now.So here is a great 3 minutes of your timeEnter in your browser... overthecap.comClick positions on the top rightClick " center"Then you get your list of centers. You will see on their list Jurgens is #2. However, this is where the next 90 seconds comes in as a great investment of your time.Click on the top 7 or 8 centers names...just look at the contracts, if on your phone it's even easier as you just see the cap hits. Then you will understand why the extension for Jurgens was a no-brainer.Simple math... they signed a guy entering year 4, already pro bowl and fits 100% into the culture as part of the core....for dirt cheap cap hits. He is younger and way cheaper than all those other guys. And locked in until 2029. Where by the time 2027 season starts, the #s for C are going to go way up. Making his deal even less expensive. On top of that, they can easily redo the deal after 2027 or 2028. Lowering the cap hits even more. The usual of how great the inflation numbers rise….actually doesn’t apply to C. Big time push the numbers C…just inked a new deal. But again…you love the actually pay for play weighted so heavy at the backend of the deal.

As other teams have to give more expensive deals to players that aren't as good. This is how they stay ahead of the cap and the rest of the league. They do it because of how Lurie enables this whole feature for our team. Only way this can be accomplished is Lurie putting up all this up front money. Not just signing bonus money…but owners have to bank all guaranteed money.

He’s light years better player than Cam. Not even a comparison. Nobody is resting the market higher than him at C anytime soon. So what we just did was overpay an above average C in a market right after it just blew up to its highest peak point.
