See and this is where most here prop Siri up as the greatest. They can point to making the playoffs every season and wins. So his teams have done well. Thing is….they haven’t been maximizing. Clearly been a super gifted O that’s been actually held back. A few here loved Siri pulling back our O playing not to lose. But I’m making the case completely against that. That we’ve had the same O pretty much this whole time. They should have been killing opponents scoring 50 plus under a quality O mind

You and I will have to agree to disagree. The choice of game plan is effective risk mitigation.

I obsess over Eagles football clearly. Collaborating is when we receive the best results.

So, why are you arguing that Howie and Fangio shouldn’t/don’t collaborate?

Not saying there is any solution. Just not understanding why it’s not on anybody else’s mind around here. Giants just were gifted an elite pass rushing wrecking ball.

They weren’t gifted. They earned. The Draft choices in reverse order of record has been a fixture for decades.

You know….that doesn’t bother me

Doesn’t bother me either.

Choice of gameplan lead to a stacked O scoring the least of any O in the league. Not sure you have any grounds to disagree on

I’m totally agreeing that this should have been the way the whole time. Don’t be scared to hire a coach well qualified. Give up some of the power and control makes Rosie even better

Rosie had some bad philosophies holding us back. He’s a heck of a GM. But everytime he steps into the football wisdom areas we struggle.

Think about all Rosie has believed. Don’t pay the RB. Don’t value LB and S. He went exactly against all his core philosophies and we won it all.

Fangio was unbelievably on point first year here. His decisions of what he needed were spot on. Rosie even noticed Baun….but as an Edge. He just isn’t a football guy like that. Obviously loves the game….but never could see him playing it.

Rosie gave the keys over to a qualified hired coach. All things he wouldn’t do before.

Rosie already signed Bradberry and over CGJ negotiations. Rosie had to prove he was right. He understood the market very well. But that wasn’t what our organization needed. We needed Ceedy Duce at S. Switching over to pay Bradberry much more proved a very terrible decision.

Same thing with Reddick. Rosie was correct about reading the market. So he proved it. Year ahead of actually dealing with the situation Rosie already was planning for who to replace Redick with. Huff was a bad decision. Had all the signs of he was puffed up with surrounding cast and system coaching.

Rosie completely ignored the S room. It was so flagrant he actually was forced to make a trade for CGJ. Got to the SB. Being correct about Ceedy market lead to our problems. Got a S back and we go to the SB again. Proves how much his flaws have been holding us back.

Wouldn’t ever hire coaches that had earned power. Always wanted puppets. Rosie’s ego really got in the way.

Gameplan was clearly our weakest area. Started games terribly. I mean seriously…this O being the worst scoring team was an absolute failure

Really is just further evidence of how much Siri has just been holding our O back

Sure the playing not to lose approach worked out. That isn’t any proof of just unleashing our gifted O wouldn’t have worked just the same.

All evidence points to back up everything I’m saying. I just wanted our O to achieve what I knew they could. Finally unleashed at the end it happened. How would unleashing such a powerful O not have been as successful?

Took an O that should be scoring over 50 and dialed it back playing not to lose. I wasn’t a fan of it. I don’t care at all about stats. Our high character QB and WRs only way our team pulled that idea off. Can’t think of another WR or QB that goes for any of that.

It took hiring just a decent tier O mind in Moore to get there finally. What a huge leap forward. Just more clear evidence of what we’ve been missing under Siri.

Hindsight proving this all out…for even the blind to see.

How could you have watched those final playoff games and still deny what our O was capable of the whole time?

Why would I want to change our arguably biggest advantage?

You have just argued that it is unfair that the NFL Rules for the Draft have gifted Abdul Carter to the Giants. Were you just complaining rhetorically or did you really believe that unfairness ought to be remedied.

Sometimes in a fight you observe the trainer lays out a perfect gameplan that leads to one sided slaughter

As Mike Tyson famously said, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face."

Everything was setup perfectly for the giants to totally screw up and reach for QB Sanders. They actually resisted and had a solid draft. Kind of sucks.
