In the past 10 years, how many of those 10 had a DC who could give Howie good advice? The answer is one. One year out of ten. Would you have wanted Howie to have deferred to his DC in any of the nine years before 2024?

You are missing that he finally hired the nest DC that he surrendered power to. That was a weakness. Rosie wasn’t looking to hire top coaches that would demand taking his power.

The most important ability is availability. Howie”s attitude toward RBs got us Shady, then Swift then Saquon. What would you have done differently?

I’m not missing it, I’m ignoring it because his actions tell me that his belief about RBs is different in actual life than it is in the imagination of fans.

Disagree. Mahomes was terrible. He panicked and ran into pressure several times. Wasn’t pressured when he threw the pick six to Coop. Chiefs were outgunned. But Mahomes was scared watching that tape leading up to the game I guess. Our pressure did happen. But he was feeling it when it wasn’t also. AR made that change putting Tuney at LT. Was a great season boosting call for the Chiefs. Was bad move versus us. So AR I’ll put that on him. But worked until us. Mahomes wasn’t executing though. AR can’t say was telling him wrong….Mahomes started scared. AR can’t outcoach Fangio with the talent difference. Fangio is a heck of a coach. Our D was crushing it. Chiefs didn’t have the firepower to be coached over all that.

Andy’s game plan set Mahomes up to fail. Close to 100% passes. Incredibly easy to defend. Fangio could deploy his light box without any worry that the Chiefs would run the ball. As a result the 4-2-5 alignment left no seams for Mahomes to exploit.

In tennis they track unforced errors because they are important. Mahomes was forced into his errors by the Eagles Defense. He wasn’t bad on his own. He was forced into having a bad day by the play of the Eagles Defense and by the total predictably of Andy”s game plan. If you didn’t see that with your own eyes, you were blind.
