May 21, 20251 yr Hired the top DC commanding the power to be taken from Rosie. Fantastic! Paid the ti get the best RB we could to dominate utilizing the top prioritized investment the team has been built on. Got the LB. Got S. Drafted Two CBs high. It took embarrassingly fielding 31 st ranked pass D…but it happened at least.

But most we are discussing we now have ample sample sizing to formulate these conclusions from.In research the first rule of data gathering is "consider the source”. The samples you are referencing are "contaminated” by the "filter” they are coming through in order to get to you. For example, look at all the reports of the "split up” of the bromance between Hurts and AJ this season. Was any of that true, or were the people tslking about that speaking with th egg ir sphincters? Or the recent AJ reports of him holding up a Patriots #11 jersey. Were all those "samples” valid?Don’t believe all you read and hear. Also try thinking about Defense once or twice.

Winningest coach in franchise history, but needs fired. Just a ridiculous conceptBecause that’s the only way you can put it for it to actually seem anything like he’s done anything near that as our HC. He’s been terrible 2 years and been great 2 years. Pure agenda driven spin about wins versus losses. Two terrible seasons he was being overcome by everybody to achieve the wins.

Absolutely!Your "sample size” is gathered almost 100% by obsessive slurping.Physician know thyself . Physician heal thyself.

Obsessions are characterized by the following features: Intrusive: They come into the mind repeatedly and uncontrollably.Unwanted: The individual does not want to have these thoughts or images.Persistent: They continue for an extended period of time.Distressing: They cause significant anxiety, worry, or fear.Ego-dystonic: They are inconsistent with the individual's values and beliefs. Alright then so maybe you educated me on the opposite of what you stated…it wasn’t the correct word choice at all. Help me define my love and daily year round thirst surrounding the Eagles. I can admit when I’m wrong. Not how I defined obsession. So that’s not it.
May 21, 20251 yr Don’t see it as unwanted thoughts causing anxiety and stress. Being a fan brings all emotions. High highs and low lows. But it’s a daily thirst for knowledge about them.

What does that mean? Means GM made a bad choice and we were stuck with a bum paid as a starter. Stashed him where he wasn’t even an option to play..even as a backup.
May 21, 20251 yr Chip Kelly was each one of our HC. Does that just mean we all blindly praise him as the greatest and his hurry up O can’t ever be questioned?
May 21, 20251 yr Why is just call it like you see it about everything not the approach that should be taken?
May 21, 20251 yr If you love we drafted Q but are against signing Huff….why can’t that be opinions you just recognize and further explore in the context of everything else it surrounds?

Help me define my love and daily year round thirst surrounding the Eagles. I can admit when I’m wrong. Not how I defined obsession. So that’s not it.You are not wrong. Daily, year round thirst is an obsession. You do know that the word fan is short for fanatic. We are all obsessed. It isn’t just you.Where I believe you go off the rails is your absolute belief that there is one "right” answer … one "right way” of doing things. You would have hated Vince Lombardi. You would have hated George Allen. You probably do hate Sean Payton. These are Hall of Fame coaches who have made plenty of mistakes.I asked you several days ago to learn a lesson from Ted Williams, considered to be the best baseball hitter of all time. As good as he was, he failed six times out of 10. You would dismiss him as a bum if you used the same logic you have used on Sirianni. Best hitter of all time is a bum. Can you hear yourself? However, bizarrely you insist that Hurts has never made a mistake. You ignore the box score when you do that. You tout Hurts’ career playoff completion percentage of 66,8% but don’t acknowledge that that means he has failed in 33 passes out of 100. As a result of thinking like that, your definition of success and failure is unbalanced … out of whack.

May 21, 20251 yr Like you hear it confirmed a certain play was called audible. I’m not on the field…but that’s fact.

The thing about closed minds is that they can’t add knowledge, because they are closed.

May 21, 20251 yr You hear guys speak and can understand and get a read on their personality. Also they’ll tell you what they believe in and how they look at certain things. Been discussing Siri a good amount. Big payday extension…so he stated to the media and fans sharing his top game factoring between wins and losses he identifies as big plays. Make them and giving them up. He talks about how strong he’s competitive with everything and talks about his O. That guy isn’t forcing his views about the D to Fangio. That guy also isn’t just nonchalant losing confidence in himself concerning O football capabilities. He’s NFL HC. Having that title isn’t killing his thoughts about he isn’t capable or good enough.

Football is called a game for very good reason. Games by definition have ups and downs. Do you remember the old ABC Wide World of Sports intro … the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. It defies the kind of rigid thinking you are applying to it.

Guess I sunk to not expecting so much of above standards..or just standards of football discussion taking place as much. So lacking 100 posters participating anymore …replies weren’t as available. Especially all the differing points of view. But shared my thoughts for any to think and consider …reply and discuss what interested. Sadly some I guess just because really too much going on below standards. Some key moments where you and I FL discussed and debated…where no matter what you wouldn’t consider anything or especially faced with being incorrect just never acknowledge or own it. Whatever levels of arrogance or however you label my posts and responses…I do consider and read with an openmind…being an opinion I formed fairly knowledgeably to be changed or adapted it will take some quality points being made. Seems like most of those have been very slim to rare.
May 21, 20251 yr But yeah…FL if you no matter what is said you refuse to consider or except …no matter how overwhelming everything is pointed out against your opinion…then there is no discussion taking place there anyway. Anyway…was a discussion or two forced me to realize this about you…didn’t matter how much patience or how much effort I put in…just nothing was going to matter or effect you.

Think the first hand intel is basis much more towards how you judge and evaluate intel that gets further from first hand. For you and me very very little of our information is first hand. The broadcast of a game is first hand, but it is filtered by the choice of camera angles. If we attend a game that is first hand. But everything that goes on in the huddle is unavailable to us, as is everything that goes on on the sidelines or in the locker room at half time.Press conferences are orchestrated theater. Things are said for effect. Take Lurie’s telephone comments to Jihaad Campbell on Draft night. Was he being honest with Campbell? Was he being forthright? My opinion is the answers to those two questions are "Absolutely not! What he said was 100% for effect.” Those calls were first hand, but highly highly suspect. The videos of Howie’s calls to other GMs was mostly theater as well. He had no intention of actually making a deal. He was orchestrating an opportunity for the other GM to have the satisfaction of telling Howie "No!” Again first hand information that is highly suspect.
