AJ you aren’t going to like my take. Rosie got Smitty. That wasn’t fantastic. Moved back…then up in front of the giants. Masterfully executed. But was striking out on every WR he went after. Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk(several others)The draft the three WR were up needing a strong trade to get. So really Rosie wasn’t pulling it off. Mind you this all is after Alshon Jeffrey SB…then years of backloaded paying into like 2021. So WR he was failing very badly at. Reagor first round pick after just WR whole room was devoid. So Rosie striking out on all his attempts to get that WR in 2022. Only option left was expensive trading up for Olave…believe was the class. AJ was tight with Hurts. Hurts went and worked out with AJ. Recruited him. So that’s how I see we got that so massive game changer for our organization when Rosie was coming up nothing but empty.

2022…nobody in the S room. He just totally ignored that whole position. Best saving grace is it was so bad…no choice but forced to need a trade last minute doing something about his complete lacking of anything there. CGJ was just fantastic gift fell into his lap. He was trading for any S possible. Then Bradberry super late Giants ditched into his lap.

LBs trying to recall the terrible setup was planned. Was it the guy retiring to be a plumber didn’t even make the team as starter? Ended up digging up eventually guys that did really well. Edwards undrafted or last round pick played unbelievable.

2021 was capped out paying dead money to players not here. Reagor, Quez started with Rookie Smitty. Couldn’t sign anybody after a 4 win season.

The most important ability is availability. Howie”s attitude toward RBs got us Shady, then Swift then Saquon. What would you have done differently?

It was Ajayi, Blount and Clement…down to just Ajayi…got two years later Sanders

It was well known Rosie was against believing in paying a RB. Not sure what to explain beyond he did it himself.

Saquan was a shocking reversal. Clearly a big deal and going against his grain. Eagle nation just all understood this.

But yeah…FL if you no matter what is said you refuse to consider or except …no matter how overwhelming everything is pointed out against your opinion…then there is no discussion taking place there anyway. Anyway…was a discussion or two forced me to realize this about you…didn’t matter how much patience or how much effort I put in…just nothing was going to matter or effect you.

Calling me a hater is not effective conversation. You can't accept there are opinions other than yours. You can't see things the way others see them if they go against your agenda. There is no discussion because a lecture is not a discussion. I don't need to be told what I think. Just like "stats don't matter" until YOU use them, then miraculously they matter. You can't just shut them out. Players pay is based on stats of how good they are at their job. If you are in a business in any capacity what is your real job???? This applies to anyone who has a job. Let's see if you know. It applies to the Eagles as well. I'm only asking nicely if you know what your job or anyone elses job is titles aside. Janitor to senior VP all have the same job. What is it?

Like paying Baun was complete reversal for him

Drafting DBs total change

LB first round pick…not sure when last time our team ever did that

Andy’s game plan set Mahomes up to fail. Close to 100% passes. Incredibly easy to defend. Fangio could deploy his light box without any worry that the Chiefs would run the ball. As a result the 4-2-5 alignment left no seams for Mahomes to exploit.

Instead tennis they track unforced errors because they are important. Mahomes was forced into his errors by the Eagles Defense. He wasn’t bad on his own. He was forced into having a bad day by the play of the Eagles Defense and by the total predictably of Andy”s game plan. If you didn’t see that with your own eyes, you were blind.

Thought Mahomes just hasn’t been as great as everybody was believing. Seen the struggle AR has just trying to get him to change and adapt. First SB against us: perfect script and gameplan. Come right down easy score. Easy quick passing not even contested. Mahomes reverts. Then just goes back to AR gameplan and completed like a zillion straight completions. Like easy…not challenged completions. Just Kelce and JuJu as options. Yet only a few catches were contested. Juju never been much. He’s a slot guy. Kelce TE obviously. Both guys in the middle and we couldn’t even contest their only two options the whole time. Brilliance! We had super talented D.

Mahomes scored fairly easy late. Kind of showing AR was giving the plays to do it. I’d have to go back and really study AR plays with All 22. But Mahomes destroyed his legacy I thought. He was shaken from the start…on his own. We did plenty to him….but he also just was seeing ghosts and not looking downfield. He stepped up into pressure several times he had no reason to do. We didn’t force him to and he went right into the worst spot. Like I said …Mahomes wasn’t taking what was given. Bad interception to Coop. Nobody pressuring him…threw that right into him. Our D played well and not saying didn’t make things happen. But Mahomes was rattled and uncomfortable from the start. That wasn’t AR coaching. That was Mahomes destroying his legacy towards best ever. If he didn’t garbage time score he’d have totally killed being in the discussion ever again.

I understand Hams frustration with Howie. But after the Chip debacle he said he was going to learn to be a football guy not just an accountant. Then he went out and did the work and learned about how to scout OFFENSE first. Spent time with someone or many scouts learning what things they looked for. He did this on his own because he didn't want to give the power back again because that did not work. In a way the Chip debacle was a kick in the arse to Howie to get his act together. After that first year we all saw a great draft. I don't recall them all nor am I going to fret about it. So Howie learned about offense and we saw just excellence in the latter drafts and he got some nice O players in and some D line guys . At that point we were all "well yeah but he doesn't draft CB's, S's or LB's, but he had the O down. Then he apparently went out this past 2 years and learned about those positions because he knew he was not adequate with them. And you know he WOWED us last year taking Q and DeJean back to back. SO you should be able to see the growth of Howie into an annual GM of the year. Not only is he good with contracts, the man went out and learned. Even a guy with his stature understood his shortcomings and if he wanted to stay as GM he needed to turn his drafts around and be successful with them. The last 4 have been exceptionally superb. maybe not the guys we wanted on our mocks, but he chose D players now, so now nothing is off the table. Just a remarkable man who kicked his own arse, learned what he needed to and now he is the beat in the league. He gave Siri ad Fangio everything they wanted and probably asked Fangio who he wanted when they put the board together. Everyone grew and grew together, coaches, players and staff are all on the same page now. As long as there is rotation and Howie replaces old guys with new guys, we will contend . There is nothing more as a fan I can ask the man to do. Some won't be right, but his percentage of draftee success has to be super high and that's all you can ask of the man

Any QB will struggle without a top supporting cast. Ours was better in the SB. ANY QB would LOVE to be an Eagle QB(opinion)

Now I need to sleep, the pills are kicking in LOL, so Ham think about my question. It's rather easy. peace

Imagine someone's whole purpose as a fan is to throw shade on Sirianni and Roseman.

It takes an incredible amount of effort to be that kinda of jack arse with that level of loser mentality.

Nobody? Epps is nobody? Blankenship from Draft Day is nobody? Trades are not part of the resource arsenal?

Your blinders are showing. Of course Safety was going to be an offseason challenge since both 2021 starters moved on … Harris retired and McLeod left in Free Agency.

One year later … Shady was drafted in 2019 .

Andy’s history as the coach of the Eagles was that he was so committed to passing that his Offenses became one dimensional … and as a result easy to defend. When the Defensive Coordinator knows the running game is off the table, half of his job is done for him. The resources he would have to devote to stopping the run can be redeployed toward stopping the pass. It makes the numbers game much much easier. It also frees up individual players to be able in individual plays to be free to roam because no Offensive player is in his zone. That is what DeJean was able to do in the interception play. His zone was the midrange flat and no Chief went into that zone. So, from a location very near the sidelines the was obscured from Mahomes’ vision. He could see Mahomes though, and as Mahomes went through his progressions DeJean was able to anticipate the throw and break on the ball. A classic forced error.

But it's player safety...lol

It is interesting that we are having this conversation now. The reason is that over on the blog we had this conversation last week. The bottom line of what you are saying is that Mahomes crapped his bed. The pushback that quite a few people on the blog gave to that was that by saying Mahomes crapped his bed you were disrespecting the Eagles defense and what that eagle defense did. For them it wasn’t about Mahomes and Mahomes Legacy as you were referencing in your comment it was much more about the Eagles defense and the Eagles defensive legacy. There isn’t any right answer to it and I think that somewhere in between those two poles a comfort area mom wasn’t up to his best performances, but he was not up to his best performances because of the defense he was facing, and I would add he was not up to his best performance because Andy crapped the bed with regard to his plan.
