It is interesting that we are having this conversation now. The reason is that over on the blog we had this conversation last week. The bottom line of what you are saying is that Mahomes crapped his bed. The pushback that quite a few people on the blog gave to that was that by saying Mahomes crapped his bed you were disrespecting the Eagles defense and what that eagle defense did. For them it wasn’t about Mahomes and Mahomes Legacy as you were referencing in your comment it was much more about the Eagles defense and the Eagles defensive legacy. There isn’t any right answer to it and I think that somewhere in between those two poles a comfort area mom wasn’t up to his best performances, but he was not up to his best performances because of the defense he was facing, and I would add he was not up to his best performance because Andy crapped the bed with regard to his plan.

I acknowledged our D played fantastic. I don’t want to takeaway from our victory at all. We were winning it regardless. But yeah…Mahomes had real happy feet to start that game. Like all that film study of our Dline had him sweating nightmares for two weeks in the buildup. Just gotta call it like I see it. Just imagine the uproar of flawed and blame Hurts would never live down around here had he performed like Mahomes

Sure if you are so completely forced to be faced with actually doing something because you were just so ignoring a whole position group…then you could consider hunting for a mandatory trade as the last ditch effort. Ceedy Duce being traded from

Saints was more luck than great team building plan. Same with Bradbery being thrown at you for your rival.

You are ignoring the fact that roster turnover happens every year for every team. The acronym NFL stands for Not For Long.

Are you ignoring that well established reality on purpose? If you are choosing to ignore it, then that is obtuse thinking. If you are ignoring it by accident then that is shallow thinking.

You are overthinking this once again, leading to first speculation and then conjecture and then spin.

What you have described is Mahomes committing unforced errors.

That is disrespectful to the Eagles Defense.

As Don Corleone once said, "Ham man, Ham man, why do you treat me with such disrespect?”

Another really good post from the Blog.

As with many things... the truth is always in the middle. Howie has done some amazing things... at the same time, he's done some amazingly stupid things. He isn't beyond criticism. But at the same time, he's done far more right than wrong in recent years. His draft history has taken a HUGE uptick in the last 3 years. We are hoping that he makes it 4 in a row. But, prior to these last 3 years, his drafting was, at best, middle of the road. He had some hits, he had some whiffs... big whiffs. Hopefully he's figured out how to crack the code and hacked the process... and hopefully with Douglas back in the fold, whatever magic sauce he's found remains.

But, when you lose talent evaluators, you need to replenish the stock. They know Douglas and for Howie to bring him back would definitely indicate that their relationship wasn't nearly as contentious as some tried to portray it.

I expect the latter. However, if the Eagles want to get on Goodell’s good side they could come up with wording of a proposal themselves that addresses the issue.

Wording isn't going to matter.

They(GB) reworded it to make it more effective and still lost. Now we need to learn how to defend it as it will be on every teams "to do" list. Once every team becomes accomplished at this we will have......rugby

It's not rugby

Back to "it's all about Hurts". Every thought ends up in the same pile, yet you still blame our SB loss to KC on everyone and everything except the Hurts drop for 6 that contributed to the loss, so if he had done that again this time you're damn right I would complain

I know, because we are the only team who can pull off the scrum although TB appears to have figured out how to stop us

It's not a scrum. Totally nothing like Rugby at all.

There is no blocking in Rugby. End of argument.

I personally like the 2021 draft as well...hoping for 5 in a row.

Devonte, Dickerson, Milton, Gainwell...pretty good draft.

I didn't know that there was an idea that Howie and Douglas had a bad relationship? I thought it natural for Douglas to want to be a GM and be in charge....plus take more money?

He was committing way too many unforced errors indeed. We forced plenty of errors as well. Boy did we punish any errors!

The fact you added Gainwell in was good for a chuckle

Why are you engaged in this stupidity?

Stupidity? Mahomes had real happy feet. Our D made plays. But he panicked also.

The Baun interception play was our D just so making everything happen. The Coop interception was unforced error that DeJean absolutely punished him for.

Both were going on. I have no desire to take away from our victory. We were going to dominate them any which way. Reality is both are true.

Idk... let's review the other 31 teams and see how many late round picks last all 4 years in decent roles?

I would count Calcaterra in there for the next draft as well...along with Davis, Jurgens and Dean.

The fact of getting anything from day 3 guys after nailing the first 3 picks is absolutely something I'll count.

Excellent comment that relates to how Howie has evolved in his execution of his job.

Rosie improved by delegating and listening to football experts

I think the fact Siri forced him in above his place actually hurt us a fair amount. A third string RB be named starter by Siri was a setback. He got injured that first game so the damage we didn’t suffer as Swift took the job exposing just how ridiculous large the talent gap always was.

We’ll see again this season watching Shipley be unleashed just how much lesser a talent Gainwell is. Of course Gainwell should become available again ….as not sure he even earns the third string Steelers job.

We all very well realize just how much you and No Mas love to magnify any mistake by our leader

2020 draft was very key to not be missed though. Rosie having a train wreck disaster of a season…but he drafted the one thing completely organization changing there.

Tush Push vote was 22-10

Ironically the same as the Score last season in the playoffs against the Packers

Did we rely on division rival votes to maintain?
