But Brady got special rules and ref calls. They went all in greedy after all the loot generated from having that king…fans tune in to root for him…tune in to root against him just as much.

Mahomes took over the Brady Kingmaker machine from the league front offices.

Like the attempted Tush Push ban. If you are winning you are doing something illegal and we need to put a stop to that nonsense immediately

Yet Goodell knew Pats and Brady were blatantly cheating and gave special ref calls kingmaking Brady to greatest ever.

He helped the cheating Pats. So really nothing to do with cheating or any of that. It’s flat out proving to be league offices singling the Eagles out to stop.

Depends how achievable the fourth round stipulations are a fair amount in it also.

Agreed.

The 49ers situation at Edge is favorable for Huff getting quite a few snaps. The key will be how well he can set the edge in running plays.

In 2023 as a Jet under Saleh, Huff got 460 snaps out of 1,087 … a bit more than 40%

Not really a Goodell fan either

I wasn’t totally against him. Really understood how much the NFL really grew as a business under his watch. But a few clear obvious league offices interffernce now really changing everything for me. Was feeling Brady special kingmaker treatment was way too tangible. Then just how it so obviously just seamlessly flipped right over to Mahomes really just confirmed things. The Washington final game under Snyder was most glaring league interference to me. Refs just blatantly made sure Snyder’s team wasn’t making those playoffs. Giants were given that game at the end. They kept ruling for the Giants. Then kept ruling against the Commanders. All in that situation where Snyder was fighting to keep his team and the league was booting him.

The NFL’s business plan is built on a foundation of parity. With parity more cities can have hope of postseason success. They don’t wander dynasties if they can help it. Both KC and NE had marketable superstar QBs. So they were tolerated because those superstars drew audiences even in also ran cities. They don’t see a marketable superstar on the Eagles. Just a lot of players who carry lunch pails.

See the parity isn’t true. Sounds great and all. But truth was kingmaker brings the largest returns financially. League very much was active in kingmaking. Not just about loving Brady or Mahomes….analytics prove large numbers hating the king also brings viewers. Old Yankees thing really.

Agreed, this is also how Dullaz became "America's team" Actually, that should be Philly if you go by history

Don’t really know exactly what that means to anybody. But Jerry Jones was a revolutionary owner that raised that franchise to the highest of highs as far as recognition, importance and mostly flat out sales.

Then if all that is true why wouldn't you be totally against him? The league was going to grow regardless of who was at the top. He pushes international games which take money away from Americans(USA) who have supported the NFL since time began. Figure out what vendors make, then multiply that by 6-7 games in foreign countries. That's alot of local money lost. Sorry, still not a fan of the man

Then became exactly a point in time for the Pats to be Americas team. Rough events lead so perfectly into that whole narrative playing out.

America is from the Aleutians down to Cape Horn. More than half of that speaks Spanish. Philadelphia has no organic connection to Spanish speakers, but Dallas does. So they have a logical claim to the title.

Nobody thinking other than USA with the American team attachments.

I didn't make the quote "America's team" so I am not responsible. Most will assume we mean the USA in an NFL context. A least Canada has a league

It is only about USA….huge stretch trying to reach both continents on this term

I lived in Dallas from 1989 through 1996 , when Jerry’s marketing team rolled out the America’s Team moniker and campaign. All the Hispanic Cowboys were front and center in that campaign.

It was a lot like when Rupert Murdoch rolled out Fox News … recognize the underserved market segment and take it as yours.

Not sure this is accurate. Murdoch like most just uses the media power to control his own agenda.

Why are you quoting me on this?

Another point missed LOL

Not sure players association can stop this though. Might be an area league offices can just control here.

Players Association absolutely can stop it. Bit has to be written into the Collective Bargaining Agreement. If the Players Association doesn’t sign isn’t a CBA

Gotta just love the straight answers from Fangio

Truth read between the lines was Rosie signing. Rosie ego showed Ceedy Duce who was correct and knew the market the season before. Taught him and then signed him back all really being part of the sand long negotiations.

That is clear evidence that they saw Brady and his personality as a marketing plus … as a Brand, and they don’t see Hurts and his personality as a marketing plus. That may change, but for now it is what it is. For example, can you see Hurts making commercials like the State Farm commercials?

That is because he is a Brand.

I don’t think Ceedy Duce was ever a Fangio choice. He probably went along and agree to it needing a S…was about all.

When some makes you money like Brady did, he gets special dispensation. It is all business.

NFL machine can make any player the huge brand. But yes…Brady and Mahomes great brand for the NFL to sell.

The Eagles need to become a Brand.

Exactly going against the BS parity crap that’s painted as the false picture surrounding the NFL
