Basic fundamental football stuff really. That’s what got us really believing in the power of the Dline. Rattle and put pressure on the Qb can cover up other D flaws. Good example here.

It really became disgusting once Rosie enacted Plan 66 of turning things over to his pre planned pick of Patricia. Whole team crumbled then. Worst D in the league at that point. Bad scheme and playcalling while wearing out the players with poor rotations. He did have such brilliance like trying to drop Reddick and Sweat off into coverage to "fool the D”….not!

The guy is wide open...both times...stop making excuses. The very tangible thing of being able to see the field needs work.

Then James Bradberry happened and went downhill from there. GB's point... Hurts changing the play and throwing deep to AJ and getting picked off...instead of taking the dump off to Gainwell for the good chunk that was there.....was not the leader we needed. But I agree with the idea...Bradberry and the D was the issue at the end. You don't dominate for 59 minutes and then just collapse on D when it matters.
April 16, 20241 yr "There’s nothing to be satisfied about.” Hurts stated. Hurts’ tone diverged from that of his colleagues. Sure, everyone on the Eagles values improvement and growth. But they also recognize that what they’re doing, and what Hurts in particular is doing with his continued big plays in big moments, is special.

This is how Hurts is speaking and thinking after our team was 10-1 exactly. He wasn’t real pleased with where the team was at FL. For good reason.

The guy is wide open because Bellicheat sent his coverage man blitzing. Not something anybody expects when reading a D. You read the coverage. Clearly that guy had to cover outside…but he didn’t he blitzed…huge gamble…that paid off for Bellicheat.

It wasn’t about ever throwing to Gainwell there. Hurts and AJ changed the call to take the shot one on one with AJ.

April 16, 20241 yr Looking at Smith's contract. .. just shy of $70 mil of guaranteed money...$51 mil of new money. Cap hit this year jumped up $1.7 mil... cap hit next year $2025...all the way down to $8 mil. Using the $20.3 mil signing bonus STARTING THIS YEAR, is key to getting the #s down. Smith gets more money in his pocket NOW with the signing bonus about $4 mil more than what his 2024 & 2025 salaries would have been if he played on the 5th year option. Eagles...paying the player... and saving on the cap hits. The cap hits stay below $21 mil throughout 2028. But easy to see they should restructure prior to 2028.
