This sandwich conversation is a good one

Much better than the level of football being discussed. Kenny Pickett's wardrobe being the main topic🤷

Nice! Make sure you bring home a wonton or egg noodle soup for your grilled cheese and ham sandwich later on

I had Sum Dum Chic

I like to mix the soups when I go ... just like McKee.... reports he went in cursing at Howie today.... unusual for a Mormon... but he is mixing it up.

Chicken noodle chili?

Agreed. I love watching McKee play. But people need to remember he's behind a high quality OL and has great weapons. It's a huge unknown how he would fare on some other teams.

Pfffft Hurts carries the other 52,you should know that by now. McKee needs more work, can only carry 31

I wouldn’t say Pickett forced his way out of Pittsburgh…. Steelers were clearly done with the Pickett experiment and were looking to deal.

Well, you'd be wrong because Ham knows. So just man up and admit you're wrong so we can continue 🤣

Geez... without the sandwiches and Kenny Pickett's wardrobe ....there isn't any conversation.

Joint practice with Cleveland etc.

This is very accurate but also why I don’t think McKee is in any rush to leave… Hurts is known to miss a game or two a season McKee will likely have opportunities to start couple games this year and next and will likely play well because of the stacked roster this will only help his value especially if he gets to hit free agency.

So... you are using logic here.

The different view points that you and Ham have

Ham = McKee is this absolute stud that is in a rush to go play with another team on his minimum rookie deal so that in year 5 he can get paid the big bucks. Ham believes he wabts to be traded now and the new team will pay $50 mil ASAP after this season... and not use the team control

BG = McKee has an opportunity to back up with the Eagles... a stacked roster and show some success so that perhaps a new team would trade and pay him ASAP next year.... or play here 2 years and show success and then a new team will absolutely have to offer him bigger money year 5... as he is a free agent.

If McKee were to score a big pay day.... which scenario is the easiest way to get it? Both have merit ... I guess it depends on whether or not the idea would be to show his play for teh EAgles or another inferior team? Does he get a chance with the Eagles.... and would playing for the other team be so bad that he wouldn't look good?

This of course if just looking at it from what McKee would want. Again, the Eagles have control here... that's why I believe the more likely scenario is the BG scenario ... where he stays here... at least for this year.

But the Eagles could geta good enough offer and McKee could simply want to jump in with both feet not caring how bad the new situation would be... thinking the new team would pay big money before he hits free agency. All possible

I think Ham misses the idea that McKee is under rookie contract for 4 years.... no need for any team to pay him before that 5th year. He shouldn't be in any rush to leave here. More good tape as an Eagles QB only cements more the idea of him being worth money as a free agent in 2027.

I would definitely say I think he has a better chance at getting traded and extended next year with only 1 year left on his deal v him being traded this season.

Lots of variables but I do think next year is the most logical point for both parties if we wanted to trade McKee…. Outside of us getting an insanely good offer this season which I don’t think we will.

Alot of our skill position players are locked in for a next 2-3 years

I’m home now, so catching up. 2-3 years is a blink of an eye. If we want to be a dynasty we have to think not only 2-3, but also 4-5, and 6-7.

Yeah we're in the window. One or 2 will not be renewed but that is 2 years away. I suppose TE would be one,but weak prospects in the draft. We could hold a team hostage for on of theirs for a pick I guess. Drive safely

If you want to be a dynasty, there is no such thing as "the window”

For now we seem high on Steen not sure we see a RG drafted unless he is absolutely terrible this season.

Steen is in Year 3 of a 4 year contract. Having a succession plan for the expiration of his rookie contract is prudent, proactive planning. So RG is definitely on the list.

CB- also seems unlikely after just investing in Q and Coop

There are three CBs … two boundary and one nickel. Q and Coop only cover two of those. The third CB is definitely on the list.

S- again unlikely just drafted the kid from Texas and Blank isn’t going anywhere.

What makes you say that Blank is any different than Sweat and/or Williams? With that said, Mukuba is a Free Safety like Blank. But we don’t have a succession plan for Strong Safety in place. So Safety is definitely on the list.

T and TE seem fairly obvious…. DL image would be high on the list especially edge rusher. WR could be pretty high depending how WR3 plays out this season.

Agreed

Of course I would not be upset ,but which players are you sheet canning for them who's contract expires after this year?? If I'm spending all of those 5 picks the first 2 days they will all start for me

See above. No one being sheet canned.

See the key here is you only can think in extremes. Just almost stupid to throw away legacy changing money that will benefit your children, parents, cousins, greatgrand children. You can’t just think about it from your own personal financial situation. Try and step in DeJean’s shoes. I’d love to make in a year what a second round rookie earns. But no relevance here. For DeJean it’s peanuts compared to his potential earnings. You are caught up in any player looking to get paid is greedy and not a team player. Just not being fair FL. NFL pay is short term. Some players get just one big contract opportunity to set themselves up for a lifetime. You are mixing up different situations pretending like it’s all the same. Example: a guy already signed his big contract after his rookie deal. Once he’s made tons of money…then it’s easier and more possible to except a few million less to chase becoming a champion. DeJean is already a champion. He doesn’t have that hole in his wishlist/resume. He hasn’t made that big money yet. Your asking way too much….to be a supposed "team player.”

The problem either that logic Ham is that it assumes everyone is greedy by nature. It ignores the question, "when is enough, enough?”

On 8/11/2025 at 11:09 AM, cunninghamtheman said:

In short: every player has to sign that first extension for about as large as they can go. I think the team friendly art at that point would be excepting team friendly financial structures so Rosie can massage that cap. Example: Hurts.

No they don’t HAVE to. They can value other things over money. Money isn’t everything.

So you actually believe you can retain any credibility after sharing opinions such as this? Maybe it’s just more about #HurtsHate blinding you so utterly. I mean…wish I didn’t expect you’d say something exactly like this…could have practically quoted you yesterday saying this today…it’s just that pathetic and predictable. Carry on..guvna

Ham, I have to disagree with you. All players have trade value. Jimmy Johnson built the Dallas dynasty by trading Herschel Walker. If the price is right every player is available. But the price has to be right. If Las Vegas offered two 1sts and Brock Bowers for Hurts would you turn that down?

WHO replaces DeJean at slot CB if he moves to S?. Who do we have right now?

Mac McWilliams.

So if a stretch run is needed,a playoff caliber QB to lead us if Hurts went down you are counting on T-R or McCord?(Kiss that trophy goodbye)

One of the criticisms (right or wrong) of Hurts is that he is little more than a game manager. Are you saying that DT-R isn’t capable of being a game manager … surrounded by an uber talented roster?

Ancient History Ham. We are living in the present, not in the past. No one believes that more than Jalen does. You should follow his example.
