Never claimed we would be a dynasty. We have a window to win a few more SB's, then ?????

I never said you said that you wanted the Eagles to be a dynasty. You misread what I said. What I said (in the form of a question) was that I want them to be a dynasty.

One of the criticisms (right or wrong) of Hurts is that he is little more than a game manager. Are you saying that DT-R isn’t capable of being a game manager … surrounded by an uber talented roster?

Unknown. Cleveland would not have parted with him so easily. IMO the play would drop off unless T-R is some hidden gem Cleveland didn't know about. Game managers still need to execute and I have no inkling of T-R's abilities

Steen is in Year 3 of a 4 year contract. Having a succession plan for the expiration of his rookie contract is prudent, proactive planning. So RG is definitely on the list.

There are three CBs … two boundary and one nickel. Q and Coop only cover two of those. The third CB is definitely on the list.

What makes you say that Blank is any different than Sweat and/or Williams? With that said, Mukuba is a Free Safety like Blank. But we don’t have a succession plan for Strong Safety in place. So Safety is definitely on the list.

Agreed

See above. No one being sheet canned.

So you are going to spend maybe 1-2 first and a few 2nd rounders and have them ride pine?

Mac McWilliams.

Unproven

If that is the case, then why trade McKee?

100% Makes ZERO sense

Well I would love it if we were. I was just looking at the near future first before guessing what the 2030 team looks like LOL

Then why trade McKee?

Ham, I have to disagree with you. All players have trade value. Jimmy Johnson built the Dallas dynasty by trading Herschel Walker. If the price is right every player is available. But the price has to be right. If Las Vegas offered two 1sts and Brock Bowers for Hurts would you turn that down?

According to Ham Hurts made the team what they are and has carried everyone since 2021 🤣. According to Ham we can't win without him and he has overcome Siris lousy coaching and Howies obvious fumbling of players 🤣

There is no question that the QB play quality would drop off, but would the team play quality drop off? Given the quality of the rest of the players on the offense, arguably the answer to that question is that there wouldn’t be any meaningful drop off.

And given Ham’s well established credibility issues with his posts having no citation references, why do you give any credence to "According to Ham …”. All it is is one man’s opinion.

Because dynasties are built on Day One and Day Two draft picks. Right now McKee is only an insurance policy.

Understood. I prefer two in the bush over a bird in the hand.

Winning a Super Bowl requires more than a little luck. As the patriots found out when they entered the Super Bowl undefeated, bad luck trumps good preparation. Preparation is controllable, but luck is uncontrollable.

As you pointed out about Mac McWilliams, all draftees arrive unproven. Many Hall of Fame players spent their first year learning from the sidelines. If you have built your roster effectively there isn’t any position that "needs” a plug and play rookie starter. Howie has almost reached that level of roster effectiveness.

Hurts began our dynasty instead!!!!! Show some respect #HurtsHater

Ham, you are talking to yourself again. A mental health professional can help you with that obsessive compulsive behavior.

All while drooling over Kenny Pickett he aligned to spend multiple draft picks on as our franchise QB savior.

I’ve been asking you for pages…haha..you can’t answer.

The answer is simple the numbers put up by the team in all the various categories stand for themselves … collectively. Football is a team sport, not an individual sport.

On 8/11/2025 at 9:02 PM, cunninghamtheman said:

What would you calm it then? You wanted Hurts benched for Shew. Banged the table over had to keep Wentz. Now are perfectly fine with McKee instead of Hurts. Guess we are just such completely different people. I’m loving our greatness that’s resulted. Best ever franchise QB you’ve ranted suggesting to be replaced by any other backup QB. Well…this time you just stated you’d be fine. You’re totally clueless!!! Not even meant offensively…I mean at first about Wentz? Ok..I understand how you were so wrong…kind of. But you still missing it all is beyond me. It’s like you actually are striving for mediocrity instead of greatness. I’ll never understand you. Hurts driving our organization towards winning Championships. No idea what’s important to you then.

Who the F is Shew?

So how is tagging McKee with 2 years left on his contract advantageous for the Eagles? Your non answer isn't cutting it

I’m confused isn’t the tag only applicable to a player whose contract term has expired? A player with two years left on his contract can not (under NFL rules) be tagged.

On 8/11/2025 at 11:43 PM, cunninghamtheman said:

Answered and answered…tag and trade. It’s a fairly familiar term and process for those of us understand anything going on. But…post after post stated we are trading McKee this season. Specific..in detail. No Mas thinks we should just hold on to him for two seasons cheap and get the comp pick after losing him. That’s when I responded with wouldn’t be what we’d do even then. But he’s not understanding how all the facets work…or not able to look ahead enough to see how that won’t work out. McKee isn’t going along with that. He’ll force his way out at most any cost before he sits around letting us deny his opportunity to succeed and prove he’s worth huge money. Doesn’t matter if it actually happens or not. Doesn’t matter if any fan here doesn’t believe in him. Only thing relevant is does McKee believe in himself?

Ham, McKee can’t be tagged until after the 2026 season.

Last year we finally got a coach…he created a scheme for Siri. You both faulting Hurts so blind with #Hurtshate you never saw how terriblly pathetic our O scheme was. It was the worst. I just asked for decent…an actual pro O. We got it finally…and what happened? You just admitted Hurts did what you stated he couldn’t all along. You bashed him for not producing with the Slot WR…while our Slot WR was known as a blocker…or worse. We had two TEs with one only a blocker. Can’t have a blocking WR or a blocking TE and fault the QB for those guys not producing. F4cking stupidity!!! You say…oh he can’t read D well. When he comes out of the huddle to the line with low playclocks so often. We barely give him Motion…32nd in the league at using it…not like barely…like 31 other teams …then a Grand Canyon gap between us and anybody else. Don’t supply crap for audibles. Last season he got them. Only give a few plays in the playbook to work with. Those plays almost correlated with personnel and formation. There wasn’t any disguise. Telegraphed pathetic coaching scheme. Embarrassing in fact. Playcalling was one step and play thinking. Nothing being setup. Terrible. Gameplan scripts sucked. Adapting and self scouting? Siri couldn’t do it…or just didn’t even understand it was ever needed.

Hey..we brought Playaction to the dominant rushing team. Moore is a revolutionary genius. If only some coach ever thought of this before. It’s a miracle!

Steichen had play action in the Eagles Offense both his years. RPO is the epitome of play action.

Why are we trying to force the Tanner McKee trade all of a sudden lol… we known we value the backup QB and we will likely need our backup QB to win us 1-2 games this year.

No point in trading him this season unless the offer is insane…Next year seems more logical time to trade him if we want to trade him

It is a basic rule of capitalism … buy low and sell high. McKee’s actual value to the Eagles is low because he spends all his time riding the pine. So he is in the buy low category. Other teams would not have him only on the sidelines. He would be their starter. So they are likely to make offers for McKee that fit the sell high category.

Of course that ignores the insurance policy factors.
