Correct. #1 being under center gives the D more to think about. #2 being in shotgun is too far back for a hand off and near give away for pass.

Yet Gainwell was out on the field for key plays on the first Pittsburgh drive... must be Tomlin forcing him in the lineup same way Siri forced him in.

Apparently the original deal with Jax was for both Fred Johnson and Tank ... then Jax decided not to throw in Tank. Was revisited afterwards.

Also..no script on offense, just a feel of what Dallas was doing... that led to 3 TDs to start the game.

Again plus pass protection, good hands, serviceable runner…. No he isn’t a special talent like Barkley but but a very good RB to have in your room

Reading about Tank hearing he is a liability in pass pro probably a good reason he is going to be RB3 to start.

That and the fact Tank avg. like 32 yards a return though it was only in a small sample think like 11-12 KO returns

A script’s primary purpose is reconnaissance/education, and whether it produces scores or not depends on the players’ execution of their assigned roles, both as individual players and as a unit. In the first drive the pass plays in the script succeeded in their reconnaissance intention/purpose by illuminating what Defensive scheme the Cowboys were deploying. However, the actual execution of their scripted pass pattern by AJ and Devonta did not produce any separation that Hurts could exploit. But the scripted play also showed how the Cowboys were deploying their D-Line, and Hurts was able to exploit the identified weakness in that deployment and pick up the scramble yards and first downs needed to keep the drive alive.

In effect we got our cake and the opportunity to eat it too.

Byron Young isn’t as good as Gabe Hall against the run. The guy to backup Jordan Davis…or even pair with Davis for short yardage and goaline.

There was no script according to our OC. Rethink this post. It is irrelevant to Thursday's game abd what occurred. No recon...due to no script.

Recon is occurring regardless…whether you have a good plan and script or not. Adjustments should be made accordingly.

Is he better than Jordan Davis???? I’m going to bet he isn’t better than Smith or Carter…. Maybe orjomo…. So 4th best???? Again why would you take Davis off the field for Hall???? No you would want to take Davis off for a better pass rusher.

Again Gabe Hall is likely the 5th best run defender on this team behind Davis, Carter, Orjomo(is considered a strong run defender), Smith…. I’d rather have these 4 guys on the field before Gabe Hall against the run.
