Well our base D is consider a 3-4 but Joe was correct should have based it more on what we are in primarily

Our base D is a 3-4? Our base D is Nickel … 4-2-5 by the numbers.

3 DT 2 Edges 2 ILB by definition our base D is a 3-4 defense…. I admitted I was wrong in taking the technical base defense look and not using what we are mostly in…. But we are still considered a 3-4 team

IMG_4302.png

From last year but works the same base D 3 down linemen, 4 LBs( 2 ILB 2 Edges) 3-4 defense

I was back in Philly for 9 days two weeks ago. I don’t know which was a bigger wasteland WIP or the Fan. 90% drivel. Only 10% real meat.

Yeah... when topics are slow not as good....even brutal to listen. For me, I get used the the routines...background noise...short car rides etc. So I know the scheduled times to listen when they actually have guests and interviews etc.

The opinion part where the hosts just talk to callers is annoying. The shift changes and when they announce the times the guests come on...that's when to listen. 10am. 2pm, 6pm..

6pm best insider Andrew D, knows the Eagles well. Calm and explains a lot.

But agree...to actually spend a lot of time listening to the brutal conversations is a waste.

But for certain interviews and guests...very informative.

Help me understand that take Ham. Who are the WRs who are going to be a big test for the Secondary?

Rice is out and Worthy is either gimpy or out.

Mukuba and Adorre blew some plays…flat out. I don’t think Jackson is going to really get it together. Really hoping Mukuba steps things up at a pace I totally believe he can. He’ll make some mistakes…but at least counter with making some plays as well. As he starts rounding into form…geling with the entire Secondary.

You gotta know where to find the meat.

Even if he plays, he will be gimpy.

Great assessment of our D-Line. Thoughts?

Ok...what i disagree with...

  1. Everything that was said about Tank...but that's not your post that was about the D, just that this post about Tank...worse than any planet Ham take.

  2. Ojomo is not a DE. He is a DT.

  3. Smith as a 276 DE...is not taking the place of Hall...who you would say is an inside guy.

The only thing he got right was that Ojomo plays inside ( not at times...all the time)

A DE,OLB...or edge...they go against the offensive tackles.

Ojomo will play vs the guards and center.

Now my high school played 3-4... so I understand some terminology could be one NT and the two guys next to him on either side as a DE with the edges as OLBs.

That's not what we run here, regardless of how anyone wants to classify Nolan Smith or Hunt.

The norm is the 4-2-5.... two LBs are Baun and Campbell... the other guys are DL ...that's the reality of how they function. 4 guys on the DL...2 LBs... and they move DeJean and the SS around.

Im not going to argue technicalities etc. Bottom line that's simple...the new edge rusher is not replacing Hall...via position... regardless of he takes his roster spots.

Young and Ty Robinson are DTs...not ends. They will function as DTs in a front 4. Same as Carter, Davis and Ojomo. The new guy along with Hunt and Smith function as DEs in a front 4.

There will be times when the line will function as a 5 man line... there will be times when Smith and Hunt drop back so that Campbell and Baun can rush ... but lets not overcomplicate the simple.

Ham has the Kleenex box out to wipe away his tears of joy in this touching moment. He is going out for ice cream to sooth his damaged heart and he will get a free teddy bear toy from the team. More movie screen sized posts

Kensington

Seen a question if we drafted JJetta over Reagor would we win more. And I’d honestly have to answer no.

Mainly because if we get Jetta don’t think we draft Smith(hell might not even be in position to draft him) then have to ask the question of would we even trade for AJ which would probably be no.

Again... answer the question as to why this week vs KC receivers....while Carter is back causing problems up front..

Why will it be more of a test than last week cs the better WRs... and not having Carter?

Specific question to this particular matchup!

Explain

Because to me...i believe your statement has nothing to do with KC being more difficult than Dallas as far as a test..

Just that you want to put out that our players ...which Howie brought in... made mistakes.

It smells exactly like a nagging housewife just looking to point out anything negative.

Tanner still not throwing. Goedert missed practice.

When did I ever say it would be more of a test? I didn’t.

Correct...last year they took out DeJean... this year...not expecting much 3 man or 5 man DL. Don't think DeJean comes off the field. There will absolutely be some snaps with this.. some.

I do believe Mahomes will take advantage of these two players. You have that plus testing just how ready we are to deal with a qualityTE. Gameplan should be more double teaming Kelce inside.

Now imagine Dean is back... they could use a 4-3 base with him in the middle and Baun and Campbell playing Sam and Will

Actually a very interesting situation with Kelce. How ready is Jihad for this? How ready is the second level of our D to seamlessly work together with our Secondary?

Mukuba is neither a WR nor a Chief. Adoree is neither a WR nor a Chief. So let me ask you again … Who are the WRs who are going to be a big test for the Secondary? Rice is out and Worthy is either gimpy or out.

Again... why specifically KC more if a test than Dallas? Not a difficult question.

You could simply answer because Mahomes is the reason and not so much his WRs.

You could say that Mahomes makes such a difference... that it doesn't matter his WRs are no where as good as Dallas and doesn't matter about Carter being back.

Or ... you could just say it's not more difficult than Dallas and I just wanted to point out our guys made mistake..bad ones that led to the 188 passing yards.

Just looking for clarity... wondering how difficult it is for yiu to admit how good Mahomes is...or just that you wanted to point out " Rosie's bad moves "
