Follow up: The NFL has only kept stats since 1978, so all my friends must have heard something wrong. No player had ever turned the ball over twice in the same play in NFL history. Hurts is INFAMOUS now….by definition of the word.

Funny... right after it happened we were all talking about it. About 10minutes later is when I googled it. Instant fame for Hurts.

He might end up being the best QB in the game.

no qb who wears two gloves should ever be considered that, but here we are.

Didn’t Kurt Warner wear two gloves when he left AZ to the SB in what like 08

you know, i think you're right.

Big Ben and a few other QBs threw with the gloves. If you ever have worn these gloves, they stick well, so very easy to throw vs having your bare hand in very cold weather

regardless of who the qb is, it's weak sauce.

Any worse than the sauce from our guy?

Zach Ertz just had his season ended on a similar play going for the ball…. At the end of the day it’s a business decision it was a poorly thrown ball and AJ opted to protect himself instead of risk injury….

I’m never going to fault a player for wanting to protect themselves same reasons why I’m not one to crucify Hurts for wanting to run less and protect himself more

Except his running is why he got the big money. He gave up his best attribute. If he told Howie he would make this decision eariler we could have paid him a nickle 95 or he could have retired on top. It does zero good to display your wares ,then remove them after the team pays you for same. It's like lying on your resume. If he had a great arm to offset his decision to not run, that's one thing and this is not that. So I will disagree with you. It's costing everyone on the team. If you aren't a team player, pick an individual sport. So if this is what we paid for, we got ripped off

"One thing that has become obvious for Jalen Hurts: he is a circumstances quarterback," Cowherd said. "If the O-line's perfectly healthy, if the offensive coordinator is great, if Saquon Barkley is having an amazing night or season, if the defense is No. 1 like last year, he's really successful."

Ya know, he just might be on to something

What we say all the time. It's about the surrounding cast. Hurts is a RB who can throw, been saying that since forever. So now by voluntarily taking away his "RB" skills, all he has left is his weak arm which is NFL "run of the mill". The cast carries Hurts, not the other way around. We re-signed most of that surrounding cast, now the QB quits on them and we gave him huge money to be a quitter. Pathetic. And if your O line isn't healthy, the QB needs to make on field adjustments no matter the play call. Hurts can audible out. So either he is running the play no matter what he sees, or is making wrong audible calls, the bottom line is he's not getting it done. Frustrating, seeing all these top skill players having to deal with this lackadaisical, uninterested QB. NONE are going to actually say what they think because they want jobs too. AJ hints at it alot, passively, cryptically but they are trying to get something accomplished. To get Hurts to play the game they know he can play. Hurts is either deaf to this or doesn't care. We won the early games due to what you posted as we were mostly healthy, or at least more so, and I have been saying that for some time (Joe has also and how we became labelled as haters because he wanted Hurts to reach the plateau he did last year). It's tough to stay on top with a target on your back. You can either do it or you can't. Hurts still can, but he needs to rescind his side deal that is costing everyone on the team, including the staff and the fans also. Just very disappointing for all

Rest Hurts now

Rest him from what? He's not even breaking a sweat anymore. His effort fell into the Grand Canyon. His last major effort resulted in a historical dual turnover play 😂. Then a forced poorly thrown ball in OT. Maybe that was his plan to complete the QUADFECTA (SB,MVP,SB ring, Historic SCREWUP). The last one may get him a plaque in Canton on the "Wall of Shame"

Nah nah....he needs rest for playoffs....as Ham says. Plus Matt....we must play McKee to increase his trade value.

It's not a benching. . It's these other reasons from fairytale land

Why don’t we try giving him an average O to operate from one time? I know it’s just so much to ask here.

An average O?

Who on the field is the biggest part of the O

I've given Hurts the benefit of the doubt all year but 50% passing the last 2 games and 5 turnovers proved to be that Cowherd is right

Something I NEVER thought I'd say

Bul let me ask..and be honest. Is it really just the last two games and forget about anyone else being right....what do your eyes tell you.

The O is ABOVE average, and he has ALWAYS been SURROUNDED by above average, the QB is average or BELOW. Wake the hell up from your coma!!!!

This is not only horrible, it's inexcusable as an NFL QB. Even a rookie PS QB can make this throw(one of 3 chances)

The last play of the game Monday night getting heavily criticized.

Baffling decision not to hand it off with the easy read of the DE... and then keeping it and running right into him. Then of the choices being out of the pocket, could just throw at Goedert’s feet... take a sack...anything
