Scapegoated for Siri

How many years are we going to shoot ourselves in the foot underachieving with Siri?

His biggest supposed brilliance was limiting our development and achievements under a better coach with a debatably greatest personnel O by limiting them to underachieve.

AJ had what 3+ drops

Saquon had an easy drop

Smith had a drop that would have converted a 3rd down on the final drive

Jake Elliott missing the first PAT to start the game

And idk how many penalties that took away otherwise successful plays so instead of a 1st down we are in a long situation trying to regain yards

In a game we should have blown them out

Yet what was my prediction again? How did I know?

The OC is always the scapegoat, or if the players do well they get a HC job. Dropped passes all year(missed points by Elliott, shaky O line etc),but like I said, you will get your wish and he will be canned

Never was qualified…of course he needs to be fired. Why wasn’t he before midseason? Who hired him?

I got an idea…how about we strive for above weakest O coaching? I know I’m alone here…but could we just consider having somebody qualified?

AJ left the building and refused to talk to reporters. We won the turnover battle 2-0 and got a meager 3 points out of it. Just horrible. If AJ no longer cares and neither does Hurts this team is in big trouble

NBC calling out our so predictable basic O playcalling and design. Elsewhere than here seems most get it.

Was AJ paid off?

This really hurts me to even consider….but geez….it was pretty bad.

Would you have even considered throwing to AJ on that last drive? I would not have. It was that questionable. Nothing absolutely concrete. Windy day….

Was the first question: did you get paid off? He had to leave and not field questions.

See you guys in April for your draft talk.

Why wait to April (to be a fool}?

yes!

Won the turnovers...lost the penalties.

Milt Williams just made a Reggie White sack against the Chargers.

I've changed my mind about firing KP - fire both Siri and KP. I really don't see what Siri brings besides motivation. HR handed him a great team, he's just not a great HC. He seems likeable, but wouldn't get a job on another team.

You want to fire a HC that has been the winningest in franchise history?

The Eagles were whistled for seven penalties for 48 yards on Sunday. Two holding penalties negated positive plays for the Eagles that could have jump-started the offensive in the second half.

This doesn’t factor in the what 5 big drops between AJ/Smith/ Saquon etc

Article said Eagles are looking to replace "staff" with a proven offensive mind,so sounds to me like Patullo is out for sure. I'm fine with making that move, but not sure he is to blame for everything, but as I also said he will be the fall guy

Did we win in spite of Siri? This entire season was a debacle on O. No adjusting to strengths and weaknesses. Siri, as the HC, has to take responsibility. 1st down - let's run. 3rd and long - let's run. Let's throw into cover 4. In between we'll run a bunch of slants and outs. Speaking of outs, we had the most 3 and outs for the last 20 yrs! Yes, players have to execute, but how can they buy in when the plan ( if there was one ) doesn't work to their strengths?

You don’t have the success Siri has had being a bad HC never missed the playoffs always had a winning record.

The coaching wasn’t great but how many of the 3 and outs were player inflicted? Penalties negating a 1st down, dropped passes, missed throws etc.

A fair share should be put on the coaches but just blaming KP or Siri is just finding a scapegoat goat pls ty of meat was left on the bone this year by the players

We talk the 4th down call which was terrible but we also should have already had a 1st down if Smith didn’t drop a pass the play prior. Could have also kicked a FG if not for the Elliott missed PAT to start the game.

And who knows how different the game looks if AJ didn’t have 3 major drops

We also talk Siri as a bad coach but why are we not looking at QB1 also?

Even with Steichen and Moore Hurts was a limited passer.

Hurts under Moore threw for under 250 yards how many times? How about under Steichen? The offset was Hurts running ability but how much longer is that going to be a viable option?

2027 going to be an interesting season because honestly I could see the Eagles moving on from both Siri and Hurts after the season depending how it goes and wouldn’t be shocked if we look to draft a QB high to sit behind Hurts similar to how we drafted Hurts to sit behind Wentz

The two obvious names to replace KP in my mind has to be Mcdaniels and Stefanski(if he doesn’t get another HC opportunity).
