Okay I'm not quite about how I think Hurts can play but I totally expect him to have a much better year than last year. With Mannion being a much better OC than we had last year. I still expect us to make the playoffs win the division and compete in the playoffs with anyone. That i put on the defense. Hurts SHOULD be passing for around 4000 yards 30+ TD but unless he tops his best season he won't.

4000 yards...lol. 30 passing TDs?

All after losing AJ?

Eagles scores and results last year in relation to Hurts passing attempts.

Attempts Points result

40 19 loss to Chargers in OT

39 21 loss to Dallas

38 17 loss to Denver

34 15 loss to Bears

33 17 loss to Giants

32 33 Beat Rams

30 29 Beat Washington

28 16 Beat Detroit

27 13 Beat Buffalo

26 10 Beat Green Bay

24 31 Beat Tampa

23 24 Beat Dallas

23 28 Beat Minnesota

22 20 Beat KC

20 38 Beat Giants

15 31 Beat Raiders

We see the results according to Hurts passing, the more he passes the worse the results.

33 or more passes the Eagles were 0-5

32 or less passes the Eagles were 11-0

More telling, look at the scores. Usually more passing means more points.

5 games with the most passes the Eagles scored 89 points. 17.8 points per game.

5 games with the least amount of passes the Eagles scored 141 points. 28.2 points per game.

23 or less passes for Hurts and the Eagles light up the board. 33 or more and they don't score much.

Easy to see that Hurts passing a lot does not equal the Eagles offense putting up points.

You can see the same trend in 2024.

Hurts is best at being a game manager(Foles was also). Hurts decision making and field vision has always been lacking, and if he repeats not running like last years debacle it's going to be a rough year. Hurts needs to get the ball out faster to the short throw routes. A guy like Lemon should help this cause IF Hurts can find him. The yards after catch make Hurts passing stats look better. With a hopefully healthier O line, I would like to see the Bark/Tank combo backfield used. Even RB's on routes. Smitty will get a few bombs, but for Hurts a bomb" is 40 yards, not 60. Anxious to see Stowers bloom later in the year for more short route fun. I have no clue what to expect from Wicks

The D should be really good. They keep the O in the game, this O needs to step up so the D is not gassed late in games

Pathetic

Yeah

If we don't run the ball at an elite level, our offense will struggle. No matter who the slot receiver or the play caller is.

Hmmm…maybe personnel isn’t everything? Could coaching actually play a very key factor in everything? Really so basic and just fundamentally glaringly obvious stuff too me…but clearly has me sticking out nearly on my own around here.

Yet somehow with my opinions I’ve been able to stay so incredibly consistent the entire time. Not perfect by any stretch…BUT…keep predicting almost exactly our situation each season in detail with such specifics. Yet nobody here even

Considers or ponders how I’m able to keep ‘calling it.’

This season is the most challenging yet to predict. So many signs pointing towards our team completely bombing this season. Yet….Fangio such a career changing coaching hire by Rosie. Could even envision scenarios playing out with our D as the elite best in the league.

But Eveybody seemed to understand we had a team built needing an experienced qualified OC hire. Struck out on that. So turning towards the best candidate potentially was only option under Siri now. Mannion couldn’t possibly be the opposite …as far as complete opposite of grizzled experienced and proven OC.

Thing is….just still can’t picture Siri staying out of the way. Even with his so extensive track record proving he has no business believing he’s the O mind.

Third year even coaching….players not remotely experienced in his system at all….just complete unreasonable dreamland fan boy homer thinking to expect anywhere near all this coming together overnight.

Sounds like a QB1 problem

Coaching staff isn’t even connected very much to where they should or could hit the ground running. Feels like Siri planted Mannion roadblocks…Grizzard as Passing Game Coordinator, Frazier promoted to QBs…pretty weird.

To me seems like such an obvious struggle of power Siri trying to keep a grasp on. Make sure he’s not getting overrun by Mannion.

Again…I’m in favor of suffering lumps towards speeding up the learning curve on O. Instead of how Siri stalled it with Moore.

Really blame Siri stalling Hurts learning curve this entire time. No organization would have allowed this taking place if Hurts was a top draft pick. 2021 was an impossible situation for any QB to have survived. So it wasn’t expected. Rosie was scouting Pickett so intensely clearly.

Yeah, it's a hard job as OC, you have to maximize Hurts, while limiting him at the same time

Jalen Hurts has been the same player since bama guess it is Saban and Riley fault as well stalling his learning curve.

Avg. at best passer who makes up for it with the use of his legs is what Hurts is and has been throughout his entire playing career college and pros.

Wash, rinse, repeat. Same stupid agenda we've all heard. Hurts didn't use his legs last year, may not this year. WAY overpaid if he's not going to play. Stuck with him now though, but somehow QB19/32 carries the other 52 🤣
