wow shocked McKee is inactive but also feels like we want to trade Dalton and showing him as our top backup makes sense

Carolina is a way better team than they get credit for they are losing now but was going blow for blow with Chicago for nearly 3 qtrs…. A team that absolutely destroyed us last year.

Seen an interesting stat about the offenses Mannion been a part of in GB and when he was a backup in Minnesota under O’Connell the QBs only average like 3 carries a game which is really low.

Granted GB and Minnesota have not had the athlete at QB that Hurts is but neither O really relied on the QB run either.

Just makes me wonder what we will do this season will we try and use Hurts legs more? Will Hurts get what he wants and not have to run? Just really interested in seeing what the O looks like

Covey is not a RB we should be using Ship on returns IMO. Covey can be tackled with 1 arm

That's a separate issue, Covey is still on the practice squad, he was a call up.... it's one of three for the season. It wasn't a move made available by Stowers going on IR.

Although.... it does seem like Covey would be in line to be added to the roster once a player gets cut or put on IR. ... After he uses all three of his call ups from the PS first.

I know it's game 1, but Hurts appears he is not going to run again on broken plays. He just runs for the sideline hoping to find an out. This is going to be a problem again. Sad to see

If the ground game struggles the O struggles it seems…. Hurts just does not seem like the guy who can win with his arm without the superior supporting cast. Which is way it is so hard to pay him going forward

He's not running when he can, just like last year. He's not giving his all at least not so far. Just running to the sideline on broken plays,no heading upfield

That the issue right again if he had the arm to win with not as huge an issue but he meh as a passer who made up for those short comings with his legs.

If he is not going to be the threat of a runner( also how much longer can he be a threat closing in on 30) how can we justify paying him an extension
