Dickerson is going on injured reserve, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Eagles will likely go with either Drew Kendall or Willie Lampkin at left guard while Dickerson is out.

So we didn't know he was injured? Or he was reinjured? Or he just lost his edge? It was a bad showing yesterday. I'm fairly surprised he wasn't pulled

IDK if he was pre-injured or not. Only they know. I don't think he lost his edge. When Dickerson doesn't have a positive effect, clearly he's not healthy. So it's one of two things or possibly both. Either not healthy to begin with or re-injured/new injury.

When Barkley was spelled for a break, why was it Shipley installed instead of Tank? Late in the 4th qtr with a one-score game?

Blitz pickup and receiving chops were called for more than running prowess. The reason being the problems in the O-Line when run blocking.

Those two runs weren’t his only snaps in that series. But your point is a good one about play calling, which is different from player substitution. He went out on a wheel route in the Hurts scramble play and was in blitz pickup on the Goedert TD. The Birds were in hurry up mode in that series to make Washington unable to make Defensive substitutions.

The need for the RB substitution in the first place was because Saquon took a big hit on the pass reception for a 3 yard loss early in the series.

Except they ran Shipley twice in a row...so running ability on those 2 plays was what was needed.

The local talk show. Because of the obsession with Kevin Patullo being the devil last year here..... and the infamous routes and plays that apparently were only bad for the 2025 Eagles and no other teams in NFL history..

The 4 vertical route that was crucified after the 49ers game was the play on the Goedert TD ... and the Eagles ran the 2nd most " hitch" routes in the league week 1. Oh no... the hitch route...lol

As the hosts were saying...maybe it's stuff the QB likes because he is comfortable with it? Geez...ya think!

Agreed, but Saquon clearly has running ability, and other than the 42 yard run, he was 14 carries for only 41 yards, which is less than 3 yards per carry. And Tank only got 3 yards in his one carry. Given how poorly the O-Line blocked no runner was likely to get any running room. Calling running plays was under the circumstances designed to keep the Washington defense concentrating on the LOS. The play that followed the two Shipley runs was the 43 yard TD pass to Goedert in a wide open middle of the field. The Commies LB #52 was slow to react to the non-run and trailed Goedert badly in coverage.

I suspect Lampkin gets the start at LG, but could see Micah Morris if we want to toss him into the fire. Still could use more vet depth if there are any FA's worth getting

Another interesting guy is Evan Neal currently on the LV PS. Perhaps we can do a PS player to player trade. In his draft he was listed as the #1 OT. He's big at 350. Kind of strange for a former #1 pick to be on a PS at his age(25). Unless there is something I missed

A bit big for a G but perhaps he can handle being a G much as Becton did even though he has T size. Kids only 25 and maybe the gnats gave up on him too soon. Not saying he could just jump in and play but he does have experience and obviously had talent. But if we're going to snag someone, this is a good week vs Tennessee to allow someone(vet) a week to acclimate. Or maybe we toss Bell into the LG spot? Wonder what we do here
