Gotta disagree on that. On the road, OT…1:34 left in the game no matter what….so best case is probably tie. Most likely case is the Lions get a FG and win anyway. If they get the 2 pt conversion, they win. Game is over.

Joe, the OLine did not play well. Dickerson whiffed on several plays. Really disappointed in his play. Steen is a below average guard. The wide scheme runs were not working….so STOP running them this game. Figure them out next week. I do think there were cutback lanes for Barkley that he didn’t take.

Not disagreeing that MAYBE run plays should have been audibled out of, but block better!

Sonny Styles…I said he was the best player in the draft….nothing changed my mind after watching him play today. Wow!

But they didn't and it was game over. IDK that it's "most likely" Lions get a FG. The Saints came from way down and had them on the run. I would go to OT.

Several occasions where Bark(with his experience) changed directions because the called plays were not there. That play for a first down near the end would not have yielded a first down had he run behind the called "blockers" out in the flat. He can't run into an already filled gap. Bark is also NOT a RB who excels running plays to the sidelines and he was caught numerous times out there. The O line was not opening holes in the gaps at the LOS nor on the edges. Same issues as last year. Bark getting hit at the line or even behind it. That's not on Bark, that is a less than dominant O line. We even tried other RB's with the same results

Starting to wonder if we drafted a lemon, in Lemon? I know its early, but the play calls he was used in seem eerily similar to the Reagor play calls when he was here; screen/swing passes.

Again its early, but so far both failed in play type(s) specifically designed for them, because imo (or in the coach’s), they couldnt get open. Now there’s talk about giving Moore or Cooper a shot until he gets up to speed. That also sounds like past Reagor talk.

I was surprised Coop wasn't the slot. Lemon may still be dealing with his injury and not going full tilt. And because of that injury he lost some valuable time training with the team. College players have to get used to NFL speed, so he is behind on acclimation but I feel once he's up to speed, he will offer Hurts a much needed target. Only week 1, they will work him in as he improves. I think we saw WAY too many swing passes even used those with RB's alot going completely away from our run up the gut and run you down we are used to. I fear the O line has not improved over last years. Dickerson looked pretty bad and that flare out style does not work with what Bark is used to

Sure, it wasn't a perfect game from Hurts, but he did what he always does: win games. This time, though, he was a big reason for the win because he actually ran the ball well. He finished completing 14-of-25 for 203 yards and three touchdowns, adding 46 rushing yards on seven carries in the win. Eagles fans hope they'll see this Hurts more often. (Agree-from Inside the Iggles) However,I did see more opportunities for him to run he didn't take. So I am agreeing with an asterisk beside it

When they have an extra guy ...tough to block it.

When you use your cadence to get the defense to show....and then don't make an adjustment and they come right in using 3 rushes vs 2 blockers... to me that's QB needing to adjust the play.

We see this way too often. The OL absolutely has some issues...but on plays where it's absolutely CLEAR that the defense has more bodies than the offense, the play needs to be adjusted. We don't see our QB do that

And it's ironic... 4 verticals for a TD to Goedert... last year that was seen as a stupid play call...from the exact same spot and distance needed as last year. It's amazing how the play looks different when the QB actually is decisive and throws the ball where it should.

The best player on the field was the QB for Washington. 7 years ago I went to Buffalo to watch the game. Eagles won...I came away with the same feeling, the eye test had the best player on the field...clearly it was Allen. He had zero help. Yesterday Daniels had to avoid the rush all day long.... he kept his team in the game, we got lucky with the brutal play call that took the ball out of his hands at end.

Winner = Jalen Carter. The blocked extra point ended up completely changing the game. Plus watch the last play, he charges in and gets a piece of the TE, slightly slowing him down before catching the shuffle pass.

19 pressures ...one sack. Some dropped passes by Washington... That game is a blowout if not for Daniels.

Our D was gassed... due to the offense not keeping the ball and having to chase Daniels. We can't change the opposing QB, but the O needs to help occupy the ball

GB, are you ok???? The Detoit/ Saints game was in OT. What Sen is saying if the Saints tie the game right there, then with the little time left, Detroit then can run the clock out and kick a FG which means the Saints would lose.

You are arguing that the Saints should have kicked the extra point like it was the 4th quarter to send the game into OT. The game was already in OT.

I think the right call there is playing for the win. If it was the 4th quarter, I could see playing for OT. But the game already being in OT, it takes the pressure off of the Lions. They can easily milk the clock to a point where the Saints no longer get an opportunity to get the ball back, and per the rules, lets say Detroit just has one long play. Then kick a FG with 50 seconds left in OT... the game would be over per the rules, the Saints wouldn't get an opportunity to get the ball back.

The actual " safe" play when you are the team that receives the ball 2nd in OT... is to go for the win immediately.

Ok so now I would like to discuss this O running game. I was not happy with the O line. I believe we are seeing the rerun to the start of the Patullo deal. trying to get the O line once again doing what they are not best at. I wonder how long Siri will allow this train to go. Bark is not a RB to be used in the flat, he is more of an up the middle in your face Gap RB. Same with tank, so if we're going to run flares and screens to the edges Shipley would be the guy for that. I just felt very uneasy with the called plays in the run game. The O line let too many guys through. I want Hurts to run to broken plays, I just don't want a myriad of broken plays because the O line can't do it's job. Dickerson did not look good. So in Hurts defense(although he is still not my fav QB) he can't set if guys are pouring into the backfield. Styles played GREAT for them. Fangio seemed to have no answers to help the O line. I'm not going to panic week 1 and I'm sure there will be alot of learning this week

BTW, was downtown right near the stadium for an event yesterday, the tailgating was hopping as we drove by around 11:30, drove past the stadium right before game time as well... it was hopping. Beautiful weather, great vibe. Got home to see the long pass to Wicks and then the TD. Great turn around because it rained in the morning couldn't see the top of the big buildings on way downtown.

I was laughing when the announcers said "it's very humid out". I'm like NO you guys need to spend a week in SWFL if you wanna know what humidity is. Dullaz got humiliated. Gnats look like they have something going now, I suspect good games when we play them. See a W vs Tennessee then a brutal loss in Chi town. Our D is better, but if they crank on O like they just did we're going to have problems. Some interesting fantasy changes will come as we sort through which players are killing it out there. I'm glad I took Wicks with my final pick in most drafts. I see him in 2 others I have on the wire. At worst he can be a nice flex
