As soon as AJ was traded I've felt the Eagles were the beneficiary. I don't think he tanked at all last season as someone on here has said. He wanted another championship like everyone else. AJ just lost a step to father time.

After Sam Darnold got injured for the Seattle Seahawks in the win over the New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles have a shot to help them out.

I see Lemon is "ready." I don't make the calls but if it was me I would put Lemon on return duty vs the Wuss to test that injury, maybe a few plays in the 2nd half if that goes well. I have supreme confidence in Darius and he will give all he has. In time I imagine those roles will be reversed with Coop doing the returns. I see no need to panic if Lemon isn't in the slot to start . Despite the "new" offense I imagine we stick the the running game that has always been our bread and butter. We also need to make sure this O line is up and functioning. I'm posting right now that our Defense will be a top 5 unit. To elevate Hurts into a top 10 conversation I need to see a few things. 1)Go BACK to taking off running on broken plays and I mean upfield like you mean it, (not like last years BS). 2) Field vision-we cannot tolerate WIDE open guy waving their arms downfield and Hurts not seeing them. These are total freebie plays and we need to make defenses pay for their errors(or our receivers successes running their route). 3) Making more than 1 read and staring down that read- there is no commentary needed on this point. This includes finding RB's out of the backfield as read 3/4. 4) Continual improvement on making throws in the middle with accuracy and the correct speed/touch. Lasers when needed and rainbows where applicable. 5-Hurts has one of if not THE best surrounding casts in the league, that doesn't mean he needs to lean on them at all times. Sometimes the QB has to "bite the bit and show the grit". We are all aware Hurts NFL arm isn't a top one, still he needs to nail those 45 yarders and lead them not throw behind them. I am no pro, just a fan, but these are the things I need to see from QB19/32 last year. I want a top 10 from him even if it's only #10. I'm sorry but this team is fully capable of winning a SB if Mannion can put this O together. Lastly a more dominate O line. Yes I am aware we were beat up last year, understood, but now we have the chance to put ourselves back in the mix of top O lines that can break Bark or Tank loose. Rant over. Fly Eagles Fly

My guess.... 1. Get Lemon some early touches to get his feet wet incase he doesn't get enough in the offense right away. 2. Keep Cover on the PS without using one of his call ups right away.

I think we call expect Covey to make an appearance returning punts at some point. If we can secure more depth there, it protects us from having to call him up right away and then in the event we lose him, we have plan B.

IMO Lemon needs the game snaps,even if it's as a returner. After a slow start he still needs to learn how much faster NFL speed is

If he is coming back...then what is the need for Seattle? A temporary 2nd string QB?

If he is out all season....then it's a backup to Locke. How much would they trade for a back up? Are we really that excited if we get a 5th round pick?

I know there has been an obsession for 3 years now ever since McKee was drafted about this potential huge trade where Howie just absolutely fleeces someone who just falls in love with what really average stuff that McKee has shown.

For me, I just prefer to unload Dalton and save some $$ on the cap. I'm not looking at a potential Will Shipley or Mack Hollins type future draft pick as anything significant. I'm OK having McKee be the cheap backup for another year.

No, I'm not excited, but I'd take a draft pick for Dalton. I have no clue about Darnold's injury duration. An extra 5th doesn't mean we have to take a player, we can use that 5th to move around on the board

I don’t think Darnold is expected to miss much if any time but I agree with Joe don’t really see Seattle as the team to come calling pretty sure they are fairly comfortable with Drew Lock as the backup.

ATL now with Tua out with his back(no clue for how long it lingers) Penix still hurt being eased back into things and Rush likely to start(who has been awful when asked to start for Dallas in the past) they could be a realistic option.

Dalton could be the type of guy that comes cheap and keeps them afloat until Penix or Tua are ready
