I mean, it was an obvious pass situation to Goedert, I don't think Washington was anticipating a run there. Tank is #2, the stats of the other RBs make no difference, its a different running style. Fresh energy. He should be geting some touches as a change of pace.

Lets be honest, they drafted Shipley, that's the reason he is on the team, they have him under contract for 2 more years and most likely that is the end of his career, he will get a shot from another team as a backup, maybe he makes as roster, maybe a practice squad. Tank being in his last year here, might be the reason he doesn't get the touches. IDK. But we had a committee plan for years, then getting the star RB worked great for one year.... now with the running game struggling, it seems the start RB gets all the carries. Penalties and incomplete passes on first downs don't help either. Would be nice if they start the second series in each half with Tank on the field for a few plays. Then insert Barkley after the defense has had to make a few plays and less fresh.

Shipley must be a very likeable guy, as a player... a very poor man's Kenneth Gainwell is how I would describe him. Does everything, slightly below average.

So Dickerson was coming into the year hurt…. Got rolled up on during camp prior to week 1 hurting his knee…. And instead of shutting him down before the game we tried to have him play through it????

Really feels like we have been mismanaging injuries for last few years now

Like I’m sure part of it is the players saying they are good and can play but at some point the coaches/trainers/doctors who ever needs to shut these guys down

He was very candid on his show last night. They had to beep him out. " I'll address the elephant in the room, I played like $h@t yesterday " ...then didn't give any excuses... Just said I don't want to do that BS... meaning not playing at his level.

He said he felt great up until getting rolled on...so it's just this issue with the knee. He said the idea is to rest it now so he can play later, unlike last year struggling the whole year.

I think they are also in much better shape this year with the backup situation so much easier decision to place him on IR.

Didn’t the roll up happen in training camp like week or so prior to the start of week 1 so again just curious why play him to begin with and not crap him down sooner.

Was their any real benefit of trying have him play through the injury

And nothing but respect for Dickerson for trying to go and playing through injuries last year and this year. And not using it as an excuse for his play.

But the signs were obvious he wasn’t 100% last year and now obviously not 100% to start week 1

OL was struggling especially Dickerson but definitely didn’t sound like Hurts was spectacular either

I'm not sure, but I thought Dickerson had the roll up occur middle part of camp. Thinking there was time to recover??? Idk.
