Assumed the plan was maybe not power rush as much. But Swift and Gainwell would bring the passing element to the RB position and O.

AJ, DeVonta and Goedert should have opened up room for the RB passing.

Wasn’t this the universal assumption of being a huge new wrinkle for the O

How long you waiting for Davis to figure it out?

Year 3 coming up.... that is the contract year and the one that normally see the player advance.

The reasoning philosophically stated behind loving Georgia and Bama players was about how it was the lowest jump to the pros of anybody.

I thought it was because they were winners.

See and there is the danger. At his best. Under life destroying times falling in the draft he fell in line. Do you see him growing up and becoming a workout warrior? Will he become a leader of the team? That start to his career couldn’t have been better. But I’m pointing towards his character. To his will to desire to become the best and HOF. He could. But I don’t see him stepping  up like that. Think he accomplished just enough to have everybody blow praise on him. Let him ride and get by. Big and fast and strong. He’s good enough to cruise by. But more likely to do something real dumb and get in trouble than become our weight training leader of the locker room.

Umm.... the players need to earn a contract... this is a guy used to winning....why would he " do just enough " ???

Like when Gainwell was wide open with plenty of room to run ....on the play where Hurts forced it to AJ at the end of the Seattle game.   That kind of room?

Yep he started both seasons making a difference. Then couldn’t regain his job back from really old player in Linval that was sitting on the street. Rookie year and injury. So ok. But took a nose dive year two very similar. Just nowhere near any level of endurance to be a factor second half if the season.

You get obsessed about that rookie year???    Cox and Graham had great careers, I'm missing where they did so well as rookies?

I’m totally opposite. I know Hurts will work his butt of to change and fix things. Maybe it won’t always work out great. But can rely on Hurts doing the work. Hurts will be in shape. Hurts dedicated to his craft without any doubt or hesitation. Easy to expect improvement from guys dedicated to making it happen.

Will Hurts run out if bounds at the end of the half instead of getting lucky with a delay of game call vs the Giants...will he flick the ball out of bounds instead of taking a 2 yard sack,  will he not take a stupid safety in the playoffs?

Is he " distracted " ?  Idk... I'm not worried about him working..I'm worried about if he is good enough without having to run the ball.  Deer on the headlights stuff.  That's my concern.   Apparently he needs to go bowling more too??

I can’t know what you mean by this.

The rest of the world does though.

Didn’t Williams have .5 sack and played nearly the same number of snaps as Davis who is solid 50 pounds higher and still managed 2 more sacks???? And this was Milton 3rd year in the league

But I agree...we can trust Milton to get that half sack.   Ham more worried about weightlifting than football...ironic for the guy who uses thr term " underwear Olympics " to describe the combine?

Idk...from Carter...he was seen crying after losing a regular season game...but that is a guy that is distracted?

Yet I’m pointing towards his character and mindset. All set up a perfect storm to keep him in line rookie season. But haven’t seen him do things to change and grow. Still see all this question marks about him existing.

Where do you see things?  Do you follow him around in real life...or work at Novacare?   What specifically are you looking for?    Stop speaking in tongues... explain what you mean and what the kid needed to do that we are missing?

You really make no sense ?

Seems to me his leadership took a dive when teams figured out how to contain him, just my observation. After the bye teams figured him out and he became ineffective and regressed,so IDK if anyone can bring that back out, because we need him to lead. He/We need to find answers to the containment

The leadership takes a dive...when you take 2 gars sacks running out of bounds....miss seeing wide open guys...don't run out of bounds to stop the clock.....take a bad safety in the playoffs.   The mental midget stuff.  It's tough to lead when you make those pop Warner level mistakes.

These aren't anything that are tough plays that a seasoned vet needs to learn...this is basic football 101 stuff.   Does he really need to learn this stuff?

It's all symptoms of a QB used to just running his whole life.  Those are the guys who " hold the ball " too long.  This is a concern.    Mental development at the QB spot...not how much you can squat.   You lead by showing you can learn...not by squating more weight.

But you want to blame the QB for not having coaching call quick passes? Or for how it just flat out just relied on the plan being Hurts buys time for receivers  to work the longer routes?

You blame the QB for dumb mistakes that he makes.

7 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

Hurts can face fault and blame. But not because he didn’t try or work hard enough.

No kidding... nobody questioned the work ethic.... it's the ability to do basic QB stuff at the NFL level.   The brutal mental mistakes he makes...different than why he doesn't get stats.   Throw the ball away, don't take a safety, throw to the wide open guy that is short, step out of bounds to stop the clock.

You can't deny the dumb mistakes that have nothing to do with anything else in these situations.

Seamulo going offsides prevented the tush push. .it didn't cause the dumb mistake of fumbling without being hit.

Be like your hero and own those mistakes.  It's exactly what people were saying was wrong with Wentz, he didn't take blame....don't be in denial with Hurts when he himself makes those mistakes.

Never been a QB so great he overcame a bad scheme, coaching and playcalling to thrive. Nobody

Plenty who don't make dumb mistakes that have zero to do with anything else though.

Scheme is the issue here...

But scheme isn't an issue here?

And more importantly than these pics from the games....apparently the media needs Hurts to go socialize more???

We are in the twilight zone???

Wonder if that will even convince No Mas Fangio would have coached here last season?

Good to get professionals on here

Let’s get a real pro OC to take over the O now

Fangio has enough credibility to hold his ground enough with Rosie.

Hopefully Fangio knows a couple guys looking for a job he can bring in here
