June 5, 20241 yr "I’m patient. Patience is a virtue,” Parsons said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill. "I’m waiting my turn. Let CeeDee go get whatever. Let Dak get whatever. I kind of know where the money is. It’s not like I see the Cowboys with $90MM in cap space. "This market is going to just jump up and the cap goes up again next year. They’re talking about these contracts might for a high-caliber player might be up to $40MM by then.”

Win win for everyone
June 5, 20241 yr You gotta just love hearing our rival stud player talking like this. He’s clearly demanding the highest nonQB paid contract. But I’m curious how he sees the number rising still. Was thinking Jefferson’s contract set the new bar. Does he believe Ceedee or Chase contracts will eclipse Jefferson? Is there some other player signing that will raise the bar?

Lol....I told you a while back he is going to be the highest paid non QB ...and that Dallas was going to wait so that it would count heavy against their cap. Why is this all news to you now?

Why is this all news to you now? I’ve stated the same. The news is 40 mil. Like I stated very clearly in my post who is the player raising the bar over Jefferson to make it 40 mil by next offseason?

June 5, 20241 yr 7 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said: Right around isn’t raising it… Does it matter for us Eagles fans if Lamb get $136 or $144 mil? The idea is that the Cowboys waited and are going to have the cap hits count big time. Then even worse with Parsons who is absolutely going to pass Watt, Bosa, JJ and all the other non QBs. Which puts it around 40 mil per... doesn't really matter if it's $38 or $42 mil...the same principle, Dallas will get screwed waiting. Parsons should be done now, just like we did with Smith. Lamb should have been last year..just like we did with Hurts. Dallas always a day behind and a dollar short! That's not even counting Dak yet.
June 5, 20241 yr Just like next year with Dak... won't matter if it's $59 or $61 mil per... it's going to be all new money starting in 2025... Dallas always a day late.

Where is the information that’s news to me about which player will raise the bar after Jefferson before next offseason to make Parsons at 40 mil?

June 5, 20241 yr A bunch of blah blah blah…yak yak yak…after spewing what’s news to me? When I clearly was stating wondering which player will break the Jefferson bar of 35 mil before next offseason as the news.

June 5, 20241 yr Thank goodness the cowboys have been doing this with the contracts. Otherwise we’d have no shot. They do this and won the division twice over us the last three seasons.

They probably say the same about us...except " can you imagine if the Eagles could draft "

DeVonta Smith was a good pick…but gave the cowboys a draft pick added to take Parsons in that choice.

But you aren’t seeing anybody else raising the bar over Jefferson either apparently. I can see Lamb and Chase being similar to JJ. I know to you it matters who has more pennies...to me not really. But I see Parsons clearly moving the bar higher... 38 or 42 doesn't matter really. If there is another player that we are missing...that guy is going to be a 3rd or 4th year player who had a break out season. Haven't given it a thought about that guy...just that Jerry is going to pay up.... Lamb ( which probably lowers his 2024 cap hit) then Dak gets the big one around 60 mil per...then my gut tells me they exercise 5th year for Parsons... and possibly don't get it done until after 2025...but he will get $40 mil per. Or push the bar higher by the next significant amount
