Some people focus more on people making a mistake....  for me... I focus on how the people handle it.

What was wrong last year...wasn't going to get fixed last year.  But I was looking at how things would get addressed this year.

To me it was bogus having the last two RBs as pro Bowlers.   They gave zero all around ability...they ran behind our line .  Barkley is a legit RB ..all around. Plus we got zero from RB3.    I believe we just upgraded RB1, RB2, and RB 3 this year.  Gainwell will benefit from the other 2.

White was on the outs in Tampa because he went rogue too often, wasn't talent.  We all of a sudden have a young athletic secondary.   I believe upgrades in the other WR spots.

Also... the schedule is night and day from last year.  Big difference.  9 road games and playing too many teams off of extra rest last year.  Much easier ordering of games and the more 1pm starts will help.

From everything being hinted... not having Reddick in the locker room is going to be helpful as well.

Person focused on getting more money and taking away snaps from the other guys... etc.  Been a lot of talk on the radio about that stuff.

For me...I like the former players perspective... we have Jon Ritchie,  Hugh Douglass and Ike Reese on for 12 hours here...  the dorky hosts looking for attention I'm not a fan...but those guys offer good perspective and i feel have some inside information that they hint towards...but don't really say. So their topics and how they choose to answer is something I pay attention too.

Hopefully they fix the backup 5 spot before wasting money elsewhere.

Question is who is out there to be the backup 5…. Couple year back we had Dwight right that was solid before we traded him to LA

Seen something that tail end of the year guys cared more about getting personal stats v playing g the assignment on D….. Reddick just screams the sack stat chaser type

A few guys...they just need to prioritize it. Brooklyn and New York have a couple guys....a few more too.

From what Douglass was hinting... that's what he seems to think Fletcher Cox was thinking... saying it without saying it.

It was the GM that didn’t provide enough quality personnel.

First we weren’t a world beating team to have expected or believed we had that quality of a team to be 10-1

You were calling Hurts MVP right up until the collapse LMAO. You don't go 10-1 if you suck, please. 4-7 would be sucking. We will have a tough season like the end of last year If Hurts can't find these receivers which are arguably the best overall in the league. If we lose it's because Hurts didn't learn ISH from last year. He needs to step up and play the position now and stop being a running back who can throw. It's really quite that simple. Adding bark means Hurts won't need to run. if we see him ignoring Bark and ball hogging again,it's because he can't play the QB position and have enough "vision and decision" to see the open man. This is a passing league,we have a "passing OC" and Hurts will either grow now or his job will be in jeopardy. At least "tiny hands" Pickett isn't afraid to put the ball up.I hope it's the END of the college QBing we have seen thus far. The RPO should be a TOOL not the entire offense along with the tush push. Hurts "MVP" stats were based on the O line tush push and ball hogging to a degree it was nearly comical. It's a sad commentary we needed 4 downs to go 10 yards with the talent we had

Jags will be tough this year,I would keep my eye on them. My poor clueless and hapless Panthers are spinning wheels with bogus overpaid underachievers. Another team to watch is Houston

In my view the Eagles "issues" are not lack of talent, but lack of concentration for the full 60 minutes. You have to play tough out of the gate and their main problem was bonehead mistakes at times they needed the play. We will also have issues if Siri (and staff) cannot adjust on the fly. It's time for him to step up too

Siri isn’t adjusting anything anymore

Didn’t AJ have a long streak of double minoring last season catching passes from Hurts? Yes….i did think Hurts was doing all the  right things to be MVP. Was leading our team to overachieve to be 10-1. AJ has been having the best seasons of his career with his buddy Hurts. Seems like Smitty has been doing well also. Not sure what you’re complaining about on that front?

The D clearly wasn’t getting fixed. Changing up the O to deliver more quick hitting passes to beat the blitz was just such an obvious solution. There is more than just a WR Bubble Screen.

The RBs the last two years I’d be fine with….partnered together having the two headed monster backfield.

White’s coach said he’d rather have a guy a step or two slower that’s headed in the right direction…than White. That’s where he’s at.

Our schedule is challenging this upcoming season. Green Bay, Falcons, Bucs, Rams, Ravens, Browns, Saints,Steelers, Bengals, Jags. Gotta go earn each of those wins for sure.

Those that believe we are stacked with so much superior talent than the rest of the league….lets look into that for a minute here. Let’s take our first four games. Are we really more talented than Green Bay? How about even the Falcons? Think I’d give us just a slight edge over them. Saints or Bucs? Niners and Detroit clearly more talented teams atop the NFC. Are we above these other four NFC teams we start our schedule playing though?

We very clearly aren’t in the top elite tier of teams in the NFC. Are we even in that second tier level of NFC teams? Mind you….just talking half the league…our conference.

12 wins was what the SB Niners accomplished last season. FL has stated he expects a 12 win team. I’m seeing 10.

FL you have this trend going of always downing Hurts and propping up the belief more in the other QB we have. Started with Wentz. You really didn’t like the move to Hurts over him. Then you wanted to bench Hurts for Shew. Now you are talking Pickett while tearing QB1 apart. Have some time now to even reflect on what has transpired with these first two now….the benefit of hindsight even here. None of these guys are even close to being in consideration of the same level of Franchise QB we have at the helm. Don’t know why you have such dislike and disdain for Hurts? Shew couldn’t win a game for us in the same team Hurts was kicking butt with when he did get his chance. Wentz you gotta be able to understand in hindsight how much lesser a Franchise QB he was at that point. Did nothing but drag teams down after we shipped him out in favor of Hurts. Now you jumped straight in with the next guy in Pickett. Not sure how much you’ve seen of him play. But he needs to be developed just so we can make him a viable backup. For me that’s always what I’ve seen as his ceiling. He was in a pathetic QB draft class. So he was forced as a first round pick. Always so very obvious to me that was a terrible draft choice….out of desperation….for a team that never has high draft picks.
Anyway just reflect on what you are saying and doing. Of course any player can be nitpicked. But all you seem to do is tear down the leader of our team. Some points are probably valid…..but much of them are completely way off base just Hurts hating.

Now I clearly am on a completely opposite point of view. I think he’s the best Franchise QB our team has ever had. If I was GM the job would be surrounding him with what he needs. Last season Rosie made the mistake of taking Johnson out of the job of being QB coach. On our team QB coach is arguably one of the most important jobs. Kind of just winged it at QB coach with evidently thinking the OC was going to still also do that job. Last offseason the focus was telling Hurts he can’t afford to be aggressive. Get down…don’t go for broke making plays. That is what I felt came across as the offseason for Hurts. What I witnessed as a result was Hurts took a beating last year actually. Things got pushed way too close to ruining our guy. He’s one heck of a gutsy competitor. But he just kept getting hit back there. It wasn’t on his runs so much he takes the punishment. He usually can slide off those tackles. It’s in the backfield he gets whacked. But also on these Brotherly Shove plays. Just watch the parts you can even see with guys trying to jump up on him…helmet to helmet. Biggest humans on the planet converging on top of him every time. NFL piles aren’t fun and games. That’s some dirty nasty stuff going on in there. If we carry on facing known heavy blitzes with only long developing routes….any QB will be done and become gunshy.

We don’t have Shannahan…McVay…AR. We have Siri….Moore. That’s starting out with one hand tied behind the back right there. We got Fangio in place. Pretty likely whomever we can grab to be our HC will approve of him staying on running the D. Rosie needs to really dig in and identify who is the top O minded HC he can get his hands on. Right now the top choices look to be Detroit and Houston OCs.

Love to hear any other options anybody is aware of

When you really think about it you need to start working the angles as early as possible. Figure out if we have any chance of either guy would choose to come here for the HC job. Both are hot commodities. So they likely can have their pick of a couple available jobs. Both chose to return to their teams this season. Both could have taken a HC job getting their own team this year though. Not like the Gannon situation where he took a terrible job to come into. Zona isn’t some coveted football team to begin with. But coming into that job already knowing the starting QB wouldn’t be available until the end of the season is extremely tough. Like it or not a coaches W/L record is important. Now if he can build that team up to the playoffs this year then he’ll look like coach of the year.

W/L record is definitely the huge thing Siri has going for him. Which is kind of funny considering how terrible his start was going until he changed course to give things over to Steichen. Felt like our team maybe was riding the hot streak of knowing how to win last season from 2022. Siri as an OC was under Reich in his O. So it’s not really like Siri has ever proven capable at any of those posts concerning running his O.
