With 6:55 left in the game and the Philadelphia Eagles trailing 17-14 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday at Arrowhead, Philly quarterback Jalen Hurts launched a deep ball down the right sideline that was caught by DeVonta Smith at the 1-yard line.

Hurts finished off the job with a one-yard rushing touchdown on the signature Brotherly Shove play that ended up being the go-ahead score in a 21-17 comeback win over the Chiefs.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said after the game that Hurts’ pass to Smith was the result of a timely audible at the line of scrimmage, which ended up changing the game and giving the Eagles another gutsy win.

"DeVonta and AJ had a huge, huge play that Jalen actually checked to," Sirianni said. "It was a heck of a check, Jalen just sees some great things out there. He did a phenomenal job. He checked to that, and it ended up being the right call at the right moment

What should be obvious now.   Milton Williams is here for one more year.  The Eagles would have extended him if they truly want him.

Milton probably believes he can get more money outside as a free agent next year.  He is betting on himself.   He has that option....and he is taking it.

Quick question....how many NFL QBs made an audible and the team scored a TD last season?

Are we to believe this is a special thing now?

Is the bar set that low for...

" the greatest in franchise history"

I wanted Ceedee lamb actually…but felt we should trade back otherwise because there was a group of very talented WR to be had later in the first. Higgins, Aiyuck, Reagor…..

JJ better than them all, your boy  Reagor? LOL Just an awful pick that you and Howie made

Ball hog tush push-why Hurts got a team record. Credit-O line(but they don't get the TD stat)

Only Hurts. The 30 other QB's don't do it. I made it 30 because we know Purdy is the best QB in the league bar none

Where is the quote as to what was said when the ball was picked off???? Or where is the quote after the 14 yard retreat into the EZ taking a safety???? You need to post lowlights as well as highlights

All Hurts, Smith had zero to do with getting open and giving the QB a window to throw into. Any old WR would do. The O line giving him the time to throw is also immaterial. Hurts is the entire offense, you should know this by now

Philadelphia averaged just 2.8 yards per carry, while Jalen Hurts took a terrible safety when his team was still within one score and didn't lead a single scoring drive in the second half.     Comments?

Must do if you are playoff caliber

Well... you can watch the play....Smith was open and had to come back for the ball... it's why it wasn't a TD pass.

Nice play...no complaints.   Our WRs are studs.   Good thing we locked them up early and no 5th year option or tag.

Our stud WR's can easily outrun Hurts arm,but that's not it,it was all Hurts 🤣

Smith knew he had already outrun Hurts arm and was adept enough to understand he needed to go back for the ball. Excellent situational awareness by Smith, but once again that stuff is immaterial

OSU really teaches their WR's well. most are NFL ready out of the gate, the top ones are anyway. I'm really curious to see this new offense. I suspect we see Shipley after a few games. He should be pushing Gains for RB2 by years end. And of course we cannot sit DeJean, so I want to see how and where they try him. He needs to get his NFL feet wet. The sooner the better. Will be interesting to see who the return men are under these new rules I don't like. I might when I see it work, but on paper it's awful

I'm thinking we see Shipley right away.

It’s something(long pass play and changing plays reading the D) you both are  Hurts Hating claiming he doesn’t do.

Milton has been developed and will prove to be a quality starter. But we probably won’t be able to afford to keep him.

Just ball hogging scoring TDs for us…shame on him

Whole O lowlight occurred on the safety. But you only look to Hurts Hate about it.

DeJean I think is our best looking weapon returning punts and Shipley the best on KO returns. Be interesting to see if Covey stays on as P returner. He did an excellent job on them. But only doing that job not sure is enough. He hasn’t been able to overtake really weak competition in the WR room. But was that just because of poor coaching decisions…. especially last season.

Again.... you take everything to the extreme.  These QB things need to be done on the regular.   The fact it stands out is a problem.

Hurts has done everything once.. th4 consistency of doing the more grown up stuff and avoiding the mistakes is what is needed.

I believe the offseason of humility is going to have a positive effect on his play.   Lane  offered some good insight in his interview.

The safety was Hurts fault...  the team's mistakes should have resulted in a sack back to the 6 yard line. Has anyone stated differently?
