Nah I lean towards win now while you plan for the future. it's possible to do both

Different ways of looking at doing both obviously. I’m not totally against the idea on both sides. I’m just more willing to do it with lesser talented players. For me it would be fantastic to develop Q as the great outside CB we drafted him to become. I prioritize that job position heavily. Avonte Maddox I have no problem moving him all around for what best for team need.

Let’s not pretend like any team wished to have Derrell Revis in the mix a ton against Oline and the rushing game. The value in a lockdown shutdown CB is his coverage. Not the LB part of the Slot job.

How good was Revis year 1 as a rookie? Why do we care about Revis anyhow?

You don't win now with lesser talented players

And frankly you have no future plan with lesser talented players

Look at GB at QB-win NOW and plan for the future. ARod had to sit behind Favre, Love had to sit behind ARod. You can win now and still have a future plan. You don't give up your current season for your future plans because the owners want to WIN NOW

They didn’t trot out ARod to play TE because they lacked that though. Probably a bad example by me to for the bad example by you. Bad examples all around.

OK so then let's sit Q and make him wait to get on the field. Is that better for you? And in the meantime play a lesser talented player in the slot since you are "fine" with that

This isn’t what’s been stated ever anyway. Dickerson has been a top G. But should we move him to T  for team need if we have depth at G but not T?

If you sat Q you would be playing a lesser player since he’s our best CB

Would Q be happier riding ,pine or playing slot?

Not sure you win more now by not having your elite players in their best positions.

You can't know that before his FIRST NFL snap LOL.you are merely assuming because it's fits the agenda. Why didn't GB sit Favre since Arod was the best QB?

The best most obvious future plan would be developing the ideal fundamentals in an outstanding outside CB that needs them probably more coming from such a small college.

And we will DO THAT when we have the player to cover the slot

So is year one of how good Revis was the most important? Or was it how he developed into so many years of being elite HoF shutdown CB?

Winning the first four games of his career for team more important? Or his whole HoF career more important?

Maybe Q only plays the slot for 5 games or until DeJean is ready, then I guess he sits because that's what you want

If you are going to compare them then you have to take year 1 of both players apples to apples, not after 5 years

OH give him the gold jacket before he takes one NFL snap-brilliant!!

Slay won't be around forever so indeed Howie DID plan for the future?

Slay looked like he couldn’t play at a high level for a full season practically since we got him. So kind of look at Rosie been making mistakes by extending Slay …to be honest.

He should be on the first ballot next year

Our elite CB shouldn’t be riding pine

I’ve been saying this about Q ever since our last season was over. Very consistent.

Right so DeJean gets healthy whatever amount of games that is,then we try Q outside. if he performs better than Slay, then we know it's time for him(Slay) to go. It's the constant replenishing every team does. You bring up the young guys to take over for the old guys. Jurgens was brought in to take over for kelce, but we let him get EXPERIENCE playing RG. he didn;t "sit around",so this is no different. Any gametime experience helps a rook develop
