Third stringers tough? The guys playing that game wont be there when it matters. I think it is a crime that the NFL charges season ticket holders for preseason games. It’s horrible football played mostly by camp bodies. I’d like to see the preseason games be eliminated. Play one if the coaching staff needs work. The players can get their reps in joint practices, including the backups.

Yes…the Ravens play the PS tough. None of that includes how the leagues greed ropes fans into paying so much for these PS games. But I believe they are useful. Helps the quality of football trotted out week one. There just is no substitute for game action. Just feels like they’re making less and less opportunities for players to actually make the team. So much is set just on paper. I like guys getting some chance to upset the paper rankings situation on the field. Practice isn’t the same as game situations. Myself I never was as good in practice. Need that game atmosphere and contact. Our team last year tackled so atrocious. We need game action to lift up our tackling here. First weeks of the regular season just seem to be getting sloppier and sloppier football. All kinds of just basic penalties bogging things down. The poor tackling. The more and more they are getting rid of PS time the more and more it just transfers into playing out on the field in what’s ’real games.’ But I’m old school.

Covey is so small and fragile looking…that’s exactly why they haven’t been using him on O. Its the big boy league…and he’s not big at all. They have milked the quality punt returning out of him.

Yeah he is small,so was Sproles. Small guys have to learn how to protect themselves a bit differently. But apparently he loves to play for us. I'm fine if he stays on return duty especially under the new rules

Be awesome if the guy who "just wants to be the best” and "is the most athletic on the team” could be a force come any chances of making a playoff run. You know…instead of last year where his Uber talent couldn’t produce squat the second half of the season. If he exercised and built up his bodies endurance instead of just his mouth and helmet sizing.

Traded up giving up picks for DeJean though

But he got them to trade up right? LOL. Some of those late rounders are going to do well for us

He isn’t near Sproles. Look at Sproles muscle on lower body build. Sproles was short. Covey’s flat out small. He did P returns not KO.

You just said how Rosie added picks to get these red flagged durability guys. I was just pointing out the obvious of how we actually gave up picks to move up for DeJean instead.

That’s why I’m saying right now we just really have a two RB personnel set on O. I’m jumping on the bandwagon of the depth at RB. WR and TE it just isn’t there. We have several TEs with ‘potential’ on the roster…so yeah hopefully one things begin to click for.

I would consider having more than 3 on the roster, because I was pleasantly surprised how well they all did. yes I understand it was vs other 3's and 4,5's but a few had some nice looks to them. Milton, Davis-price and Nichols(who scored the TD)

But those picks to make the move didn't come out of thin air,got additional late picks for guys like Trotter. he adds all these picks so he can move around at will

I wonder if Parris is healthy? Or is he more just desperate to make the roster? A player like him isn’t much good to us toughing through a groin injury. It’s a difficult situation because he has to make the roster…

Agreed, it was not good

As long as he plays well enough to hoist the Lombardi is all I care about

IDK how much they will press him,but he is cleared to practice as DeJean is. Siri should know what he can and can't do by now although I agree he needs to work with THIS team

Seems like our thinking is similar here then. We have RB depth. I’m pretty high on Shipley. He can make some things happen. Couple of the lower depth guys bring that power running element. I want to keep the winner of the power runner to compliment the roster. My choice is Milton. He’s a quality player. Big time recruit coming out of high school. Got buried with depth at Georgia. Could be a real diamond in the rough. Think he has a pretty high ceiling. But if one of the others lights it up…I’m fine with that. But that’s why the PS games are important. These guys on the backside of making the roster otherwise actually get an opportunity to make the team. Or put down film to make another squad at least.

Rosie moved back a few times over Jalyx being the mandatory pick. Getting a real coach comes with giving up some of the power. Fangio got his boy. Think we were picking him a dozen picks earlier otherwise.(he was the pick regardless)

Yeah Boston Scott did it and was with us many years. He was solid. All 3 looked good as far as fluidity so carrying 4 would be good for me. We can reduce a spot elsewhere. If we;re going to run the ball more as expected with Bark, should he go down we can use that 4th RB to suit up,or if either Gains or Ship go down we would still have another relief guy for the RBBC to spell bark

He is performing well so far, nice pick. I thought it was WAY early but they are proving I can't mock LOL

Yeah I’m fine with him not needing to be modest as well really. But this guys track record is he’s the most gifted…but underachieves because he doesn’t put in the work. So with this one particular player I’m kind of at that point where he needs to put up …or shut up. Great to Talk that Talk…just make sure you Walk that Walk!

He has the prima donna attitude. not a fan of that either. Some team needs to punch him in the mouth and beat him up badly so he gets a wake up call

DeJean actually didn’t practice. He ran some individual stuff only. Not sure how much Parris practiced either. I didn’t hear a single mention of him from all the beat reporters.

Yes.... Carter needs to put in the work to improve his break dancing 🕺

Yeah but DeJean is on the field(well off to the side) learning things which he is behind on,so any learning is good for me. At least his is out there moving around watching and asking coaches about things going on

Yeah Shipley and Gains will need to contribute more in the passing game. Especially the way things look right now. So that fourth really needs to be a power pure rusher.

"I’m the best player in the whole draft” never was going to beat Stroud for Rookie of the year. But could have at least been defensive player of the year. He was the front runner to win it too. But his complete collapse not being in good enough shape because he doesn’t put in the work lost him the award the second half of the season. But he "wants to be the best” and "is the most athletic in the whole team” ….keep blowing smoke up his butt over his untapped potential. He’ll clearly be the first to tell you at the end of the year he can be the most disruptive player in the league….but reality from him he’s looked pretty weak there instead.

This is what I mean about not everything being serious.   You are wound up so tight and can't even enjoy the break dancing entertainment.    I'm nervous someday we gear about a shooting in a mall or something...and it's the same day you stop posting.
